And I'm glad to hear that you're a Saosin fan (they were excellent, although I'm more of a Circa Survive fan and loved a lot of his solo stuff as well) - I didn't want that comparison to be insulting in any way. Keep doing what you're doing - my opinion doesn't "matter" but you're literally one of only 3 female metal vocalists I've ever liked (and I listen to a lot of metal lol) - that's a rare talent and I hope you see some massive success in the near future. Looking forward to more music from The Anchor!

YO!!! Badass. And good to know! I'm in NJ - lemme know when you're playing around here and I'll see if I can make it. Btw, sorry if I came off a bit harsh regarding the tones - you're all great players (and the song as a whole was super tight) - I just thought the tones all seemed pretty "2020+ standard." Can't judge by one song / one mix though - maybe you have something else I should check out to change my perception about that as well? Either way, keep at it - people need to hear this.

@@InsomniacReacts I have to say, going to a The Anchor show is the single best show you'll ever go to. The entire band is just so welcoming and great at what they do. Linzey is an amazing soul, she needs to be protected at all costs lol.. but yeah man, single best show I've ever been to, hands down has been The Anchor.

Not layered. There are early videos of her doing it live and not layered. There is a funny series where she covered metal songs and turned them into cooking videos.

I did an Arch Enemy reaction on here not too long ago. She's good, but she doesn't make my very small list either. I'm REALLY picky when it comes to female metal vocalists. So far it's 1. Tatiana from Jinger 2. Courtney from Spirit Box 3. this woman (don't know her name)

Have you never heard Angela Gossow, the original woman, from Arch Enemy? She's like a goddamned demon in a 5-foot package. "Nemesis" live in Tokyo 2008 is the best, and she commands the crowd without prompts.

Linzey smashes vocals like no one's Business. You should checkout monochromatic black too for a female vocalist that will surprise you

Been to one of their shows before and going to another later this month. I can tell you that she is 100% real. For MY taste, Linzey from The Anchor and Dylan from Asleep at the Helm have the nastiest bleghs in the business. Linzey and the rest of the band are the nicest people. Nowhere near as famous as they should be.

They are here natural vocals. Linzee is the best metal vocalist hands down. I have been loving here even before the anchor when she was doing metal kitchen or her collab with Lauren babic

I mean, you can't "hands down" it - that's your opinion lol. Just like in my opinion, she's the 3rd best female metal vocalist I've ever heard after Tatiana from Jinjer and Courtney from Spiritbox.

Linzey’s voice is wild. The AG comparison is pretty on brand, even listening to other songs of theirs. Your comment about Tatiana being the only one you thought did this style of harsh vocal that is perceived to be lower tonally tells me you haven’t listened to Alyssa in Arch Enemy.

You can make you final opinion watching this live record kzread.info/dash/bejne/n2aG29ualbrWg8o.html - not as impressive as the record, but the same is true about Jinjer - I’ve had an opportunity to be twice on their shows. Record always sounds better and cleaner but it doesn’t have the energy live shows have.

BTW the band has gone through several lineup changes. She has been the only constant.

Well yes, Tati is a hard benchmark (if you insist in competitively comparison, which I stepped away from). Linzey certainly has some serious skills. Linzey is better than Tatiana. Her growls are more brutal. And her clean voice is still better than "britney spears" Tatiana's meowing.

Linzey is a better screamer. This band is soooo underrated everything they have put out is incredible

I personally prefer Tatiana, she has a better voice and a better stage presence.

I agree.. Like I said, Linzey is EXCELLENT, but I disagree with the people in here saying she's BETTER than Tatiana - she's good but she's not beating the queen just yet..

@@InsomniacReacts They're right that she's better than Tatiana because her voice is NATURALLY deep even when she's not growling, and Tatiana isn't the queen of metal, she's a POSER.

This isn't the best representation of her clean vocals, check out "Through Rose" for that

Literally every metal artists aswell. You're not gonna hear the exact music from the video and the live, the live is how she demonstrated the technique.
