Chris Luckhardt has documented and photographed some of the most iconic and viral images of abandoned places around the world. He was among the first photographers to publish photos in the press from legendary abandoned places like Hashima Island, Nara Dreamland, Michigan Central Station, and Six Flags New Orleans. His body of work has led to collaborations with The White House, Netflix, Ford, GQ China, ABC News, Good Morning America, Scholastic Canada, Yahoo! Japan, and many more. In 2016, the Obama administration invited Chris to photograph a private citizen "haunted" tour of The White House.

The interior shots were filmed in a watchtower. China calls them beacon towers and there were 25,000 all across the nation! Perhaps the most labour intensive project in human history?

Thanks Amanda! I remember when The Proper People posted many of their China episodes in early 2020. People were continually commenting and worried about us being there and getting CoVid. Fortunately, we left just before it became a pandemic!
I found your channel yesterday after watching bald and bankrupt's vid from Kazakhstan. I can't believe you have 'just' 2500 subs, could easily be 3 more zeros in the end. Hopefully i can see this channel grow, great content.

That's very kind of you! Especially to say so on somewhat of a "filler" channel video. I consider myself a photographer first but started with video way back in 2002. Just took me a while to open up Final Cut and get to work haha.

@@chrisluckhardt you're welcome! I also found that Mister Marat channel managed to visit the buran energia rocket as well, which is pretty crazy as the security is quite heavy there. Thought you may be interested in that vid as it seems to be the only one who manages to see both the space shuttles and the rocket.

That’s a good point - I know several people who have seen both but only a handful of videos that show the rocket.
