@@aiden9808impossible to run and jump this long , realistically the longest tky could go is 3-5 minutes without a break probably even shorter

what if when Faith shows up and a guard is like: "You cant kill me! Not if I beat you to it!" *snaps his own neck*

I love this speedrun because the others all use specific glitches...honestly I want someone to do a speedrun in the way the game is meant to be played lol.

WHOA!!! I'm surprised that there is already a speedrun of this game! I'm a big fan of Mirror's Edge. Both the first one and Catalyst

these missions are so repetitive. played halfway through it (about the 50:00 point) and just couldnt take it anymore. i really hope we get a Mirrors Edge 3 thats open world like this with much better missions and more interaction with people in the world.

You didn't only broke that sentinel's ankles, you broke every single bone in his entire body . And I just want to say how good this Speedrun felt, it felt like an actual gameplay instead of loading screen simulator. I also liked the efficiency you had and the fact that you weren't commenting on every single thing you did and just in the right times instead.

Well the point of skipping cutscenes is to make the run faster but that is just an added bonus.

Her legs must have been so tired at the end of all of this.

cant wait to see this run a year from now when they have figured out a ton of glitches to make it faster

Kieran Kilvington Well the story isn't the point of the game it's the story it's a vehicle to move Faith to new exciting areas to run in,but the counterpoint to those new and exciting areas is getting to know the overworld,getting into the grove,learning the routes,beeing able to run anywhere and knowing exactly how to That's my opinion at least,I had tons of fun with the game just like that if every setpiece was the big exciting climax of the story then what am I even doing with my life? it's like taking drugs and slowly becoming unable to enjoy life without the high it's not healthy to always seek thrill,find the thrill in the monotonous That's the spirit of why we run,to use that phrase without it actually applying to reality

You should play the first Mirror's Edge, Mirror's Edge Catalyst's gameplay is more amazing and looks so much better, but it takes away things that made the first one better.

Still till this day there are no fully realistic parkour games. I have yet to see a game that vaults play a heavy importance on the gameplay. I guess the best imo would be “vector” a phone game

Personally I feel it’s faster to roll out of slides then go through the animation of faith getting back up from the slide. And it feels cooler which is what matter to me lol

shouldnt the time be faster because of the load times?

im not sure if you knew this but if you have 2 items in making a corner and can't make it up to the top of an object what you can do is: so lets say the wall is to your right when facing the corner, face other wall or rectangle pipe thing, wallrun and quickly do a quick turn and continue to move your mouse right and jump again, it works 100% of the time for me.

Guys, on a mission, a shard is a glitch, and if I see it in the category there are no glitches, then ok

1:55:51 I had this glitch here on my first time on this arena :) I from Poland sorry for mistaked.

Oh yeah there's a speed glitch where if you land on a soft pad if you spam the shift forward and slide button right as you land you start the getting up animation but then shift off forward. It saves like .5 of a second I think.

Check out the ShoddyCast video for this. It proves that it's at least plausible for Faith to humanly do this without fatiguing herself.

Why is that invisible pipe there at the Shard?

in the original mirrors edge they cut a lot and i mean a lot of content out. like the open world and 70% of the story. so since this is a reboot i think this is the game they wantes to originaly make. some quick proof is the last level in booth games. they are booth called the shard

Gameplay's amazing, Combat, Story and characters is a fucking disappointment. Stick with the first one.

I'm surprised how almost no glitches were used in this even though it's an any% run, game must be well play tested. EDIT: Turns out this is an old speedrun and doesn't utilize bunnyhop and other newly discovered glitches, also has some fuck-ups.

you make this game look so easy?

It's really weird because you can end this game in 6 hours! but if you did not die it will take about only 2 hours or 1 hour

dont get me wrong this was already INSANE good but for some reasons the old ME speedruns looked more impressive... maybe with time players will figure this one out more and more too.
