Probably one of the best sitcoms that captured an actual everyday living… the part where she makes her graduation speech and sticks her tongue out when she is crowned valedictorian gets me everytime!

It's a teen drama though not a sitcom, sitcoms are funny and last 30 min per episode. The more you know 🌈

I think people are too quick to judge. Yes, Rory changed a lot and wasn't the best but the show was so realistic. We've all made mistakes and we're not the same people we were before. We grow and change. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.

gosh i just re-watched this and omg i just wanna curl up in a ball and cry. she was so innocent and nice and now... (im at season 7, literally so good) i still love her no matter how much she messes up but i just can't help and see how much she's changed. and i really love this tv show for being so real because she does really evolve like a normal person (not necessarily in a good way) and i feel like we've followed her through all her steps of early life. idk just some thoughts i guess ...

Rory didn't want to go back to college bc she didn't see herself as a journalist anymore. SHe got criticized and she didn't want to go back, she didn't feel like journalism was something worth fighting for. Remember when she got a horrible grade on her first year of high school? She didn't care about the criticism, she worked harder bc it was something important to her. College, in that moment, it wasn't anymore. Rory never lost herself, she lost her family. Her grandparents and her mother only liked her if she was what they wanted her to be. Deciding to maintain her imagine and going back to school without knowing what she actually wanted was her only mistake.
