Omg!!! Thank god for you sir!! Ive had these on my car and hooked up as indicators only for the past year and hadnt found a clear video showing which wire to tap into .I knew the door panel had to taken off and the wire run through down the mirror but what wires tapped into for power never shown so thank you! I will do this twomorw! Legend!

Wired mine up a few days ago, ran the DRL wire to an add a fuse and what a pain in the butt! Getting the wire through the door grommets sucked but I didn't want to tap into the wires. Great detailed video tho!! I think they make the car look amazing especially at night.

Thanks for the video. Just got mine done and really like them. I also did the JDM bezels w/aftermarket DRLs so these match up well. Have no issue with the wire tap and I appreciate your delineating that for us. Also no need to remove the mirror glass. An 11" zip tie was easily inserted through the grommet, conduit and housing and then with the wire taped to it, pulled it back thru. For an oem look I covered the white wire with 1/8" flex conduit as well. Thanks again.

Blue/yellow wire for driver’s side and Green/black wire for passenger side

What wire on the passenger side? Edit: The passenger side on a 2018 WRX is the green/black wire on the larger of the two harnesses. It's two wires over from the black ground wire. The driver side is the same wire as shown in this video!

What’s the wire to tap in on the passenger door? There’s no yellow and green

The lights work great! Thanks for the tutorial. However, my driver side window doesn’t work with auto, matter in fact it doesn’t roll all the way down. It only rolls half way then fully stops. Any help here?

The best way to do it is push the mirror all the way up. Then you can get your fingers underneath and pull up and out.

Ordered mine on amazon and the driver side doesn't come on.

Where did you purchase the full carbon fiiber mirror replacement all I can ever find is the carbon fiber shells

No need to run 285 on these cars with relatively stock power. Too much tire. 265 is the biggest I would go.

@Scoobyfreak, Hey Brother, hopefully everything is good. I had finally some free time to install the sequential turn signal lights. But I ran into an issue with the wiring. I tapped that yellow with blue wire and the DRL function turned on, but all my other accessories ( Power lock/window) stopped working. Is there any other wire I can tap without loosing the accessories or getting into the fuse box? Thanks!

Did you plug everything back in? If so, check all the wires Incase you split a wire. You may need to reset your auto windows since they were unplugged. I just posted a video on how to do this as well.

How have these lights held up? Any fading or burned out LEDs? Just curious if you would do it again. Thanks brother.

I bought the turn signals from your link and purchased all the other necessary parts but I don't have the wire harness the turn signal plugs into. Any suggestions on where I can find it?

@@xil3ntkha0s I wasn’t able to get everything working b/c I didn’t have the harness. In retro spec if I could have examined someone’s harness I could have made a simple one. I ended up buying the package from subi speed and used the turn signals from the Amazon link. I hope this make sense and was helpful.

You would need to wire it independently than tapping into wires.

Hi Jeremy. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the colors on a non us spec car. My guess it’s the driver side colors I mentioned as they are just swapped over.

They are from carbon reproduction.

Car should’ve come like this from factory vs led + diffuser. This mod will come after car is protuned.

base and premium wrx's did not come with the turn signals in the mirrors. You will need to purchase the wire harness kit to get them to work properly. I do not believe it is already ran into the mirror.

You’ll have to find a wire that only turns on with the headlights.

Hm that is strange. Subaru is known for changing up plugs/wires all the time. I’m not entirely sure, but I would give it a try. If you have a wire tester handy, that will help narrow down which one you need. I would give the red/black one a shot and see what happens.

They should both turn off once the key comes out. If the window switch lights are on, the mirror lights will be on.

Scoobyfreak86 yea it was workin good once the key comes out yea they turn off and and once the key is to on positive before you start the car the light are on but when you turn it off and like listening to the radio the passenger turns off and the driver stays on

@@Anthony-kx5ls yes bro I did. It turns out I was trying to splice the wrong cable lmfao. Take a look at the color of the cable you wanna splice really closely. Two cables look almost the same color. I forget the color but I know he mentions it in the vid. It didn't help I was working on it at night. I gave up and the next morning I gave it another go in daylight and found out the cable I was trying to splice was the wrong color. It had power even when the car was off. I spliced the other cable which looked very similar color and it worked. When I turn off my car the lights turn off in the mirror signals

Just completed the install... and it looks nice. On problem though - when it come to the push to start, when you press the start once, only the driver side drl come on, when you press twice, bith of them come on... not sure if it's only me🤔

Hmm that is strange. Did you connect it to the correct wire? As long as they both turn on when the car is on then that’s fine. But both should come on either way.

@@Scoobyfreak86 i think I know what the issue is, on the driver side, the wire we are tapping into is the power to the mirrors folding and unfolding, which gets power when you hit the switch once. A different wire should be used in my opinion, which I would need to investigate

Hey scoobyfreak! So I had my mechanic do the wire tapping (I didn’t trust myself) and now my passenger side window rolls down, but when I go to roll it up, it rolls up like an inch at a time. Also, my driver side master switch for the passenger window isn’t working at all. Do you know of anyone who might have had this issue? I’ve tried the window reset but that doesn’t work. I’ve also disconnected the battery, reconnected and tried the reset again. Unfortunately, they didn’t work either. Any suggestions?

You need to reset it. Put the window all the way down and hold the button down. You will hear a small click. Once that happens, your auto windows will be recalibrated.
