People underestimate the skill, work and time behind these tricks. It is not something you do instantaneously without prior knowledge, experience and preparation - as Derren has pointed out a couple of times.

Some very obvious visual clues... 3:41 the two "employees" chasing him down are wearing light coloured shirts, then a mere 2 seconds later, they are wearing grey (ok still kind of light coloured) and BLACK shirts. One more for you who still believe. 3:38 the balding guy in the grey shirt is running beside the 'n-genius' store with no one running ahead of him, then later at 3:40, he is running by the store again, with another man running ahead of him. Still believe it is true?

Stian Frederik Ankjaer-Jensen You can just keep believe this is real... and that the world is flat. 3:48 the balding guy is running to the "victim" with no one ahead of him, then at 3:41 there is a man wearing a lighter coloured shirt running ahead of him. Later, the balding guy is still wearing the grey shirt, but the other guy that was running ahead of him at 3:41 is now wearing a black shirt. 3:38 the balding guy is running and is infront of the n-genius store, no one running ahead of him. 3:41 he is still running infront of the n-genius store and there is another man running infront of him.

different lense filters / effects ? i think this guy has a point. the point derren brown makes is that with a lot of planning you can do these things using psychological techniques. thats the whole point he does things like this and condemns 'psychics' who give people false hope for money.

People saying it's fake haven't probably experienced mirroring. I noticed this effect in school with my deskmate. Quite often I would find myself doing the same thing as him, leaning back or forward, looking through my bag for no reason etc. So mirroring definitely is a thing. The rest was just hypnosis.

It is amazing to me that people would come out here and label this demonstration as false without knowing even a scintilla of the science that has been demonstrated to support this. Mirroring and matching in behavioral studies are a fact. A culture and indivuduals that inundates itself with mindless distractions can no longer even recognize those hidden realities that govern their lives and we wonder why our future seems to be in peril. Simply Amazing!!

I was enjoying Derren Brown's stuff until now. This can't be real. As if anyone would steal a TV just because they subconciously started copying someones actions for a few minutes. When Derren went up to him and told him what to do, why didn't he think it was strange or something? He wasn't really hypnotized just because he saw Derren yawning... even if he did start to feel a little tired, this is obviously bullshit.

I visited Istanbul months ago and I couldn't sleep at night in the hostel because of noise. So I decided to go outside in early morning and then about 15 minutes later police wanted to stop me in a dark street, I tried to walk away because I thought they were fake cops, and then they "captured me" and we had an argument. Anyway the police searched me and said that "There is a thief in this area who dress like you",, and an older man who helped to solve the argument between the police and me said the same "There is a thief in this area who dress like you". - I'm still wondering about that event and Deren's videos. Because I'm politically persecuted Hungarian and "hypnosis/ mind control" is a way how character assaination, chaos etc can be done. It can be used to steal, borrow, etc. and with drug they can do more harm to their crime victim, even rape etc sex crimes. - But I personally saw a guy in France who looked just like me, and in Malaysia a local said me "How fast you are?! I just saw you there outside minutes ago.." and it wasn't me. - And it's not uncommon to be looked similar, once even my ex-girlfriend and her mother saw a guy who looked just like me. - Also in Istanbul when I was waiting to the return flight at airport a couple of women were talking angry to each other like they addressed it to someone else, and sometimes they looked me in a meaning eyes. And 1 of them even looked me with so angry eyes while I walked away in the crowd next to her in Budapest airport after we arrived. You know times like this try to say; "I'm sorry have we met before?" or "Do I know you?", and answer can be........ - Not a good idea to believe in coincidences all the time, lol but sure Deren would use both a duplicate and hypnosis to make bigger trick.

  • @norbertkimar4698

    @norbertkimar4698

    10 ай бұрын

But those women were talking like their subject was about a breaking up relation. And only strange thing was that they talked and looked me like I and 1 of them was the subject. It didn't look like staged, prank etc, but never know maybe it was a coincident or I was close enough to angry females as a "you men". And as I said after we landed 1 of them was looking me with angry eyes like she knew me and saying "How could you". - And another interesting thing was about the flight, I suddenly fall asleep even before take off and I woke up in the air way later somewhere in middle of flight, and I felt my body was fresh and nothing like I was sleeping, and nothing like my body would be starting to wake up. Many times I was sleeping on airplanes but this was different. When I woke up I just said myself "What happened, was I sleeping? and how long? and why is my body that fresh?".. Anyway thanks Deren for your videos,

I was hypnotised for 50 minutes, at his beckoned call, and he even made me put a needle through my hand, with no pain or blood. There are no actors, and it isnt supernatural, its just incredibly skilled psychology, misdirection, and suggestion.

Ragnar Lodbrok what you have to understand is that derren has dedicated his life to this, so it isnt surprising. i was extremely skeptical when i went along, with the typical "he wont fool me" attitude, but even in his books Derren says its those sorts of people who can be the easiest to manipulate. I thoroughly recommend his book 'Tricks of the Mind" as he tells you exactly how hypnotism works, and other stuff that he does.

One more for you who still believe. 3:38 the balding guy in the grey shirt is running beside the 'n-genius' store with no one running ahead of him, then later at 3:40, he is running by the store again, with another man running ahead of him. The man being mirrored in the coffee shop is not good enough at acting to make this seem real. He seems like he just doesn't know what to do with his hands and has a sort of neutral ''I don't really know what I'm doing here'' look about his body language that just screams 'fake', especially when he's sitting at the coffee shop table.

I just know how talented Darren is. Believe this or not. But its real. Hypnosis is real. Influence is real. Not EVERY single person is susceptible to it. But if someone is this can very well happen when you have someone who is a master at it like Darren trying to do it

Alister Crowley was the person that invented this, when Alister performed this he mimicked as person walking, he then suddenly fell to his knees and the subject being mimicked fell to their knee's in the same manner then got up and looked around having no idea why he did what he did.

How nice of Derren to do freaky shit to people he never asked for permission. Yeah, I know, if he`d ask, it would be pointless, but it is still quite a mean thing to do.

love derren, but its very hard to believe that the man was copying derren without realizing it. it looks like after seeing that derren is copying him, the man copies derren on purpose as a joke or for fun.

To do what? To tell someone that he should sit in front of you in a cafe and imitate your actions? Nothing more was done. Derren himself said, he uses suggestion, misdirection and showmanship...

I don't think this is acting. So how is something so shocking possible? Well, keep in mind that Derren spent quite a long time at this coffee shop and tried this with many people before finding someone who would mirror him. Derren always carefully selects his subjects because this kind of suggestion does not work on everyone. He has to go through many potential "victims" before finding one who will respond the way he wants. I've noticed that people who tend to be the most suggestible are most often young men with friendly, open attitudes (though of course, not always). Derren even mentions that this is the basic principle behind his success in the video "The System." Do anything enough times and chances are you will have a successful outcome at least once. So if you are good at this sort of thing and try it on enough people, chances are you will find at least one who responds to it.

Yeah, but I for one would lose my mind if I had to flip coins into a bowl for nine hours straight. Imagine it. You're five hours in and for the fourth time you get up to eight, nine and then you gotta start over again.... Gun - check, bullets - check....
