Miro was an absolute sweetheart to my kid when we saw him. You could really tell it was genuine too you could see in his eyes that he wasn't putting on a show. Like he legit just adores his kid fans.

I've always wondered where this "Redeemer" gimmick came from when Miro came to AEW. Little did I know, he lives out his gimmick. I had no idea he was a man if God. Before I only knew him from his streams. I'm glad this interview exists. I have a whole new respect/love for Miro 🥰

Miro is such a likable, humble guy. I don't know how anyone couldn't like him.

Until he implies that a supposed god saw fit to heel him (with doctors of course) and not prevent children from dying every single day and every single year do to gun violence. I'm sure he means well but the athlete ego is too strong.

I find it deeply amusing, and also kind of cute, that both in and out of character, Miro is just like, "Dude my wife is so hot"

I was raised in church, not in it anymore though. Still love watching folks give glory to what they believe and spreading the message! Miro is such a good man. Renee is awesome and has an awesome group of friends :)

Miro/Rusev is one of my favorite WWE/AEW wrestlers to watch of all-time. The guy always give his 110% everytime he has a match and makes the audience either show support or dislike his character on TV. Love it.

Nirvana Unplugged in New York was the first cd I ever bought. I had heard of Nirvana, and they were cool at the time, so I bought the first Nirvana cd I could find. I still have it almost 25 years later, and it is still one of my favorite albums. It has been resurfaced a time or two, but it is still going strong. That was a great live album.

No desire to turn this into a big political thread because Miro is great, Renee is great, and this conversation/show is ultimately about cool people doing cool stuff, but It's important to note that Miro made a distinction between "corrupt democracy" and, I guess, "regular democracy" because it was easier to understand his parents' biases from the outside. The same distinction could be made in regards to the systems his parents embraced.

Miro didn’t say his parents embraced it, he said communism was all they knew and then in the Balkan’s the fall of the Soviet Union led to mass corruption and a different form of dictatorship.

First time seeing this interview and this makes me love Miro even more and hate the big 2 (WWE & AEW) pro wrestling companies even more. He's my kind of guy: Takes pride in working out his legs, hates bullshit backstage politics, smart with his money, loves god and jesus, loves america, hates communism, socialism and democracy. When my daughters grow up, I hope they find someone like Miro because I absolutely would love to him someone like him as a son in law.

Miro explains the big difference that AEW has still as a selling point over WWE, yea HHH is in charge but wrestlers will still be in the road for 300+ days. AEW a lighter schedule and more freedom. Some wrestlers will always go for that.

Especially for someone like him. When you hear his money mentality and how he invests knowing wrestling isn’t his lifetime income I think he will always be happy making a fair wage working twice a week versus maybe making more with the schedule associated.

There is this misconception that AEW contracted talent is paid less than WWE talent. Surprisingly however especially once you’re out of the top of the card WWE pay and AEW pay is nearly identical in a lot of case by case individual talent basis. The money difference really only comes into play at the top of the card, when you have WWE throwing money at top talent to keep them, something we will see AEW do in the future as well to keep some of their top talent.

@@markaholicsanonymous677 Who said this? We have no idea if that's true AT ALL lol. What?? But yes, the schedule is a big differentiator. Cody said as much when he returned to WWE - one of the things that AEW talking to him didn't realize is how grueling the WWE schedule can be. There are pros and cons to that approach, but I don't think you'll hear many people claim that wrestler work-life balance and mental health is one of the benefits haha. Don't begrudge anyone deciding on a better balance for themselves (whatever that ends up being).

OK so I don't believe the Bible and usually end up in debates with people who do. When Miro said even if you don't believe it's still a good message to learn cause it teaches you kindness, good ethics etc etc I just gained a ton of respect for him. I wish all Christians or whatever you choose could be more like him and religious people's message would get across much MUCH better and their conversion rate would be much MUCH higher.
