i saw this match again this morning. i am not ashamed to say but i had tear in my eyes.it was beatifull.the respect for each other. in my opinion pat lacked the killer instict in that match. it was a great fight.thanks guys. mma is not about hate and smack talk.is about two guys finding out who is the best(or lucky to win) and outside the cage they have nothing to divide. thanks again MIRCO and PAT.

Especially when they stop fighting mid-round just to give eachother a hug, they are both so respectful and probably the two most admirable fighters.

@Lan5in6 Of course I am...it's you tube. I'm glad Mirko won...I want to see him make a solid run for the title in UFC. Barry will be a star, no doubt....but he definitely needs to work on his ground game.

@deadside26 He didnt go down because: 1. He's a kickboxer, and he hates ground game (remember, Cro cop almost NEVER went to the ground either, he always let his opponents stand up) 2. Cro cop is training jiu jitsu for more than 10 years. Experts say he's on a brown belt level, which is almost black belt. If he focused more on Jiu jitsu, he could get black belt with no problems.

@derbigpr500 Ah, I just read that he broke his hand in the first and his foot in the second. That kinda explains why he slowed down on the leg kicks so much.

...I personally never understood all that hate for Crocop...him and Rampage can make me laugh really a lot, their part of the show, they are the show...and Berry also seems a cool guy.

@derbigpr500 20 knockdowns in a boxing match is common eh? WTF? LOL!!! Cro-Cop said in the post fight press conference that he was seeing double for about 10 seconds after that second hit...which also made his cheek look like it was about to fucking explode, I'd call that a fairly "Hard" knockdown. Barry had a window of opportunity to finish Mirko in which he should have at the very least tried to do...not let him back up out of "Hero worship".

very funny stuff. helluva fight too, but a little too much respect from barry i think. could have capitalised in the first round but let cro-cop up and paid the price.

Pat Barry is not great on the ground, Mirko is better on the ground... You never see strikers go to the ground if their opponent is more dominant on the ground

@eyetolduso Nah, those werent actually hard knockdowns. You see 20 of those in each Kickboxing or Boxing match. Cro cop stood up in the same second, he wasnt dazed at all, its more like a push down than KO. If Barry went down to the ground with him , Cro cop would just close the guard and Barry couldnt do anything anyway. Cro cop is too good on the ground for him. Barry needs to also work on his conditioning, he was almost dead in the 3rd round, and mirko was fresh after the end of the fight.

@TheRexxx23 It has been announced, Cro Cop is fighting roy nelson. its funny too cuz both of them lost from dos santos and mir. The loser has his career ended in the ufc, but i think even if mirko wins hes gonna retire, I REALLY HOPE MIRKO WINS AMAZINGLY!!!

@eyetolduso Wrong, Barry wouldnt finish him anyway. Cro cop WASNT stunned. He said he only had pain is his eye, did you see how quickly he stands up, he wasnt stunned at all. Btw, did you see a picture of Pat Barry after the fight? He's in a wheel chair with broken foot, hand and bruised like he got hit by a truck. I feel sorry for him ,he's a really great guy. You also must know that Cro cop was backing down too until the 3rd round. He could have finished it in round 1 as well.

It makes me sad when he says he has nothing to do with Pride anymore. 'It doesn't exist.' But Japan certainly does when he wear the flag on the bottom of his shorts.
