sa pagdinig ko rin, impeachable offense includes "betrayal of public trust" which has not been even defined by the SC. the question then roots to, did CJ betray the public trust by not disclosing or omitting huge amount of assets which he admitted? now that we know there are gray parts and loopholes in our constitutions, hopefully, the legislators will have to do something about it. peace :)

I remembered voting her at that time she ran for presidency but sad to say she lost due to a very corrupt government. If she run again...I just pray my vote again won't be wasted....

When Santiago plead CJ acquited she explained well the reason behind it.. while other senators decide for their own political career and not for justice. Poor Philippines!

I am happy that Corona was convicted but so intrigue why Miriam voted not guilty. But with a stunning explaination, i am guilty if i would say i didn't salute this brave senator. Job well done Madam Senator!

It is really sad and unfortunate that a lot of us Filipinos still do not see the brilliance in Sen Santiago to the point that some label her as a crazy woman. Her style is not the norm for the politics of the Filipinos. But I believe that her style is what is needed to clean by exposing her inept corrupted constituents. Unfortunately, we continue to vote for these type of politicians. We continue to punish our country :(

if only u watched the whole impeachment trial u would condemn the philippine president and his allies in politics because of their ignorance in impeachment court proceedings; if not they intently ignored the constitution just to eliminate the former chief justice from power...it is very disappointing. It is clearly an act of disrespect to the people who molded the constitution and the whole philippine citizen.

Sayang dude. The Philippines need more people like Miriam and you. A true passion, not a passion that overlaps with the welfare of our country. Kaya lang hindi siya tinig ng nakararami...tinig nalang ng kakaunti. Ang masaklap, ang tinig ng mga memes sa facebook na nakawheel chair sina GMA at si Corona (at naka-ATV pa si Miriam) na di naman nanonood ng trial since day 1 o mga walang pakialam sa layunin ng batas ang sumusunod sa mga taong ginagamit tayo para sa kanilang kadamutan.

I believe her saying that her standard is very high, Sen. Santiago did her assignment. Everyone in the Senate said their pieces.. pero naiiba si Sen. Santiago, talagang she looks deeper and dig the most details of the subject. kaya may guilty or not guilty dahil sa may loopholes and conflict na nasisilip.. pero ung justification or the reasons how and why you find it a loophole or conflict, un ang mabigat. The Tiger Woman of Asia in its full glory. In a subjective sense, Miriam's vote is the only thing I need to prove my innocence. I'm glad she will be taking her office in the International Criminal Court so that it will prove to the international community that there are people like her that puts justice and equality above anything else.
