I love to reflect on the lyrics of this song knowing that it was written by Mireille Mathieu herself. She has sung nearly 2,000 songs during her long career, songs by lyricists and composers from around the world, but those words are what she wanted.

a bit more than 1200 by now, not 2000 :) But it doesn't make her less cool, certainly 🙃 And yes, according to Wiki, "Mireille a écrit et composé elle-même deux chansons de ce best-of, Prends le temps et C'est l'amour" - it was in an article about "Une vie d'amour".

Sonny, Yesterday, Je veux te graver dans ma vie (many Beatles songs), Allons voir le monde, Chez moi, Le 15 juillet à 5 heures, On veut du jazz, Nous nous rêverons un jour, Moses, Celui qui chante, Bal petit bal, A quoi ça sert l'amour, Cucuru cucu paloma, she learned God Save The Queen singing for the Queen of England, many Japanese versions unpublished, Tous mes rêves (with Placido Domingo recorded but never published), Le rat de ville et le rat des champs, Bill le Bluffeur, Maude, etc. The list of unpublished songs with Mireille Mathieu is quite extensive.

Sadly, yes. The unique voice is no more. Instead of these painful performances she should really concentrate on remastering and publishing all the wonderful wonderful songs on LP and 45 from the 70s and 80s and also the concerts she gave in her prime - all should be on CD. Shocking they still remain ‘in edit’!

Yes, remastering all the unpublished ones from the concerts in her prime could even generate a whole new audience for her. (Nana too, though she _has_ decided to stop, with a grand sale of costumes etc. [includind glasses!].)
