Well it's got to do with your genes. Dark-colored hair (black and brown) is the dominant gene, so even if she is American, one of her parents is either heterozygous or homozygous dominant. The dominant gene is kind of like an override code, so it results in her hair being that color I guess. Features are also to do with genes. I'm guessing since she looks somewhat Asian but is American, probably one of her parents has the dominant gene and she has inherited it.
