In extremely rare instances, the big fireball may not appear in the finale sequence and that's exactly what happened during the very last show of 2017. Spoiler alert: it was fixed when it appeared again in the first show of 2018 after the fireworks extravaganza wrapped up. Recorded at 11 PM on December 31, 2017.
