Mirador Mariana Bracetti and Roasting Coffee at Hacienda Pons: Part 3 of Lares PR Hacienda Tours
On the last part of our day trip to Lares we visited the Mirador of Mariana Bracetti where we also had lunch at the kioks, then we were off to Hacienda Pons. Here we got to meet Juan Jose Pons, tour his farm and enjoy some coffee! We also had the opportunity to watch coffee get fresh roasted and bought the freshest, most local coffee ever!

The gentleman Juan at 12 minutes speaks like my uncle does in English. My uncle is much older now but he reminds me of him when he was much younger. He is very focus and he wants to do things right. Hope I can meet him when I go back. Funny my dad's name was Jose Juan, first and middle name. They called him JJ!! In the US. : D

Excellent 📸 video what a nice view from above the town of Lares..the hacienda also has it own charm.,a beautiful natural site to learn the process of how the coffee beans are toasted and processed.i would like to wish a happy birthday to the young lady that was celebrating her birthday with you and your family..I don't even know her name but happy birthday anyway.

The public lookout is a death trap. Wtf!! It didnt stop you inching your way to the end of it, lol. I can foresee Cassie in a bright green leg cast, being pushed in a wheelchair, up a mountain, by Britton!!! Ha ha 😎 What a nightmare for the town, deathtrap welcome for any visitors. Keep up the good work guys ♥️👍😎

When I saw the title, I wondered if Cassie was going up to the top level observation point, or stopping at the lower level. I guessed correctly. Hot, sweaty, broken arm and all, Cassie made it to the top! She never disappoints.

We haven’t been to any of the haciendas but I really want to go now.
Its kind of sad to see the state of neglect and disrepair that some of the tourist places you visit on the island are! That out look in Lares would not take huge amount of money to fix and make it safe yet the town government just ignores it! So sad!

WOW, nice as it is, the wooden deck at the “Mirador” should be condemned, close for repairs before somebody falls through! 😬

I think they had roped it off at one point, but never got around to fixing it.
Big “trees” look like Date palms.

We asked if they were date palms, but the seeds/fruits that we collected from it were definitely not dates. We're not sure.

@@LifeTransPlanet They do look like sylvester palms. Pretty palms but you have to periodically cut the dead dry fronds . Then they look even more beautiful . But watch out for the dead dry fronds are sharp needles that will puncture your skin. And can even cause infection.
