Ok so someone on Tumblr had an idea on how to fix the Rooster Miraculous: So, instead of giving the user the ability to have any kind of power they want, the Rooster should give the user the power to have any power their opponents BELIEVE the user to have For example: if you tell your enemies you have the power of super speed and they believe you, you'll have the power of speed. if they don't, you'll end up powerless. If your enemies assumed your power to be something else, like super strength,, you'll end up having any kind of power your OPPONENTS thought you'd have That would give the Rooster an interesting nerf and make it more interesting. When Rooster Bold gave himself the power to score every time he shoots, Penalteam believed him, and he scored a ton of goals using magic. This power would be weaker than the original version because there would be a gamble between that outcome and the other outcome. He could have told her that he had the power to choose any kind of power he wants, but Penalteam could've told him that he's lying. There's no way such a strong Miraculous is being used for the first time today by some random noob. Alternatively, if he hadn't been scoring goals on his own, maybe she wouldn’t have believed he could be good at soccer. And if he's fighting against mindless enemies like Strike Back or someone who knows how this Miraculous actually works then he's basically screwed But if you think about it, everything about this power would be a thousand times better and make more sense than the canon power: -This power would fit the concept of Pretension because Pretension is defined as "a claim or assertion of a claim to something". To make this power work then the user have to claim that they can have x power in other to make that power real -Roosters are associated with confidence. To make this power work then the user have to bluff about how powerful they are which is why confidence is the key -Marc's English hero name is a reference to Booster Gold, a DC hero who time travelled to the past and used future tech to convince everyone he had superpowers -In the Penalteam episode, Nathaniel asked Marc to come up with an excuse on his behalf, given he's their power. This power would be a fitting use of his skills as a creative writer to deceive his opponents And most importantly, the reason why I think the Rooster Miraculous NOT actually having this power is such a missed opportunity is because this power would not change the plot much BUT will create less plot holes. The plot of Penalteam wouldn't change if this was actually the real power of the Rooster Miraculous BUT the plot holes of Marinette not using this Miraculous sooner to defeat Hawk Moth wouldn't have been created because in order to use this power against Hawk Moth, you'd have to deceive Hawk Moth first and if she fails, you know what happens Even if this still sounds OP, at least it has with a great risk behind it. It forces the user to hold themselves back and not claim to have any kind of unbelievably strong power. It also depends on what kind of enemies you're facing because it's almost useless against mindless enemies like Strike Back and people who know how the power actually works. When used well, it's OP, but if the user screws up, this Miraculous can potentially be useless.

The snake miraculous is an ouroboros. A snake biting or eating its own tail, which inspire the look of the snake miraculous, a bangle bracelet that has a snake head. Ouroboros symbolize eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth. Similar to the snake miraculous power which is an eternal cycle or loop in time

due to miraculous new york, we also know that there's a raven miraculous. generally, ravens are used to symbolise prophecy, INTUITION, and wisdom if snake was changed to be "regeneration" (keeping the -ion theme), would end up leaving intuition for raven cause they're gonna wanna use it at some point (hopefully) as a side note, eagle should 100% be called liberation over freedom

The thing I hate most is how OP they made Ladybug. There was already a huge power imbalance between her and Chat Noir, and season 4 made that imbalance even bigger (she can literally become a Goddess if she wanted to). Anyways, I 100% agree with all the points you made.

Adrien has been written to far into a corner to get a new power. Thomas Astruc also seems to have a distaste for Adrien as well if some of his Twitter posts and character development are any indication. At this point Noir has been taken over 9 times tying him with Chloe in second place as the most possessed character in the series (first if you remove the 60+ times Mr Pigeon has shown up off screen) I honestly believed that they were going to kill Adrien off and replace him with Felix in the season 4 finally both basted of how little Adrien did in season4 and an old post form Astruc in 2018. What does is say about the significance of a character when I can truly believe as joke comment writing them out of the show can be believed

I think the biggest problem is that the writers realized that some of these other miraculous have far too much power compared to Ladybug and thus tried to make Ladybug more powerful in return. What they forgot is that the vague terms of creation and destruction are so easy to make interesting. People have probably put down their thoughts on Mari's powers in the comments already, so how about Adrien's? Can he control the rate that things decay? Does the power simply cause the object to decay faster or does it simply break? If he can control the rate, then maybe he can create some weapons on the fly. Maybe throwing a glass ball into the fray and letting it shatter right in the villain's face by controlling the point and time of destruction. Of course, Adrien's abilities are severely hindered by the "one special move per transformation" thing that cut any interesting scenes with him early on. Allowing him to have a sneaky and underhand way of fighting would not only set him apart from Ladybug, but also allow him to fill the whole "bad boy" role that they want Chat Noir to be. But doing so would mean that Chat Noir has the same amount of power as Ladybug and heaven forbid they have that happen. Also the whole secret identity power is just there to make the "reveal" more "exciting." They bend the rules so many times for the sake of a cool scene. Mari has spoken to Adrien while one or the other was un-transformed multiple times. I believe the earliest was somewhere in season one if I remember correctly.

@@TheArtisticAloubell The cat miraculous is really no stronger then the rest of the Mirculouses, despite the idea being that the cat and ladybug are the strongest and equal parts of the same whole. Instead of being super competent, he is more of a comic relief character.

You know what would be really cool? if they took away the whole “knowing your secret identity destroys the timeline” nonsense (actually just take away the time shenanigans altogether) and make it so that cat noir doesn’t want to tell ladybug his secret identity because he’s insecure of himself outside of the mask. make adrien a loner isolated from everyone because of his status as the son of gabriel agreste. make the identity of cat noir special to him. make it one of the few places in his life where he feels confident enough to be himself. that would both develop his character and give him more agency. Plus it would make the reveal that much more exciting

I think the butterfly miraculous should have had a theme of freedom/letting go, and granted the user flight, camouflage/invisibility abilities (because many butterflies use their wings for camouflage) and the ability to create a small butterfly that can spy on people and report back to the user, scope out fights from a distance to count how many miraculouses are in play or search for the miraculous box holder. The theme could have played into Gabriel wanting to be free of the grief he feels from his wifes death. True, it's less op than other miraculouses but it would have made more sense, at least to me lol

But I think in New York isn't that the Eagle Miraculous power to let people use their true potential. It could've been like this but ever since New York it hasn't really fit into the main storyline. I personally would have liked it if he merged the Eagle and The Butterfly it'd bring a lot of conspiracies which is good because it gets people engaged

@@vladimir3905 Technical the butterfly miraculous shouldn’t be able to effect people from a distance either, the butterflies Hawkmoth infuses with power don’t seem to be part of the power but rather some sort of homunculus that are grown in the hidden garden, I guess it wouldn’t to big a stretch for different animal homunculus to do the same.

Can someone explain to me why Ladybug and Master Fu tought that keeping the miracoulus ALL IN ONE PLACE was safer than... I don't know... Give them to their respective holders? Who live all around Paris? I mean, even if Hawkmoth could track down one of them, he would have only one miracoulus and not the full box, and the one who lost the kwami could tell the others what happened before Hawkmoth could reach them... For instance, the season 4 finale would never have happened this way...

I feel like this also would've been good to help represent the balance and teamwork that Ladybug and Chat Noir are *supposed* to have. It would also keep the writers from ditching Adrien every chance they get to let Marinette shine on her own. I feel like it'd also be nice to give Chat a little more... I suppose responsibility, in being the one to choose whether or not to use his cataclysm during the battle (in a sticky situation) or to actually destroy the Akuma itself instead of just letting it free when the battle is done. This way, both Ladybug and Chat have big decisions to make semi-regularly (with Ladybug being guardian and passing out miraculous, and Chat being the one to decide the fate of an Akuma).

With how often Marinette recruits the same people with the same miraculous, there's a point where she should just leave the miraculous with those people and stop giving the same speech of "you will use x miraculous, when the job is done you will return it to me". If they're able to organize rendezvous points to return the miraculous after an akuma is stopped, then why aren't they a permanent team? It would certainly be helpful to everyone present. And why does Gabriel do nothing with the information of the identities of like 7 of the holders? He uses this for 2 episodes, and then quits. If he was smarter than Dr. Doofenshmirtz, he'd notice that pretty much all the holders are in Adrien's class, therefore Ladybug must have some connection to all of them if she trusts them enough to be "temporary" miraculous holders. And with Kagami and Luka, that would hep narrow it down even more with how Ladybug would be connected to them _and_ the class. And the whole "the limits of the powers are only the limits the holder places on themselves" thing is stupid. It basically boils down to them deciding to be more powerful and willing it into existence. It raises more questions and throws away the stakes. Gabriel, the big bad villain, had more trouble unlocking his true potential than a 14 year old girl... think about that.

The power system is 100% broken,especially since they have said that the only limit,at least for some of them,is their users imagination. So the episode you were referring to when talking about the identities was before we,the audience, knew about the magic that masks them from being recognized. However, because of this show being vague and not explaining stuff,it is unclear when the characters found out about this. I think it may have been one of the specials,in New York I think,but I'm not sure. Also,the supers in New York made NO SENSE. In the origin episode, everyone in Paris was surprised to see superheroes being real,which would make no sense if actual superheroes existed in America.

The problem was that they have never put limits on their powers besides that "you only have 5 minutes before going back to normal after using your power". Without limits Gabriel ended up creating villains able to destroy the universe or move the planet and that just makes you wonder why doesnt he just use his power to grant his wish.

Am I the only one who misses season 1-2 of Miraculous? It was just Marinette having fun with her friends and hoping to get the attention of Adrian, and Ladybug and Cat Noir defeating Hawk Moth and his akumatized villians. The new seasons are just too complicated and confusing. I miss the old days.

I think the story would've been more interesting if all the miraculous were lost. Like Master Fu scattered them all over Paris to prevent Hawk Moth from using them for evil. The only ones that he found on his own was the Ladybug and the cat, and he gave them to Marinette and Adrien to help him find the rest. But the other miraculous were founded by someone else so now Ladybug and Chat Noir not just have to prevent Hawk Moth from getting the other Miraculous but they also have to get take it from other heroes.

Oh that could lead to some nice conflict with people using their miraculous to also be heroes; especially if we still have Mari taking on the Guardian role while Adiran's still left out of the loop; as they could have LB want to retrieve all the lost Miraculous regardless of their current use while CN would wonder what the harm is in letting some fellow heroes keep their powers. I mean I don't think there'd be major conflict between them, but it could be a fun episode dilemma.

I like this premise, and I think it will add more interesting characters with their unique reasons to why and what purpose and motives are they using their miraculous. There probably genuinely good people that wants to be heroes, people that want to be heroes to become popular but without malicious intent, people that are anti heroes, people that have malicious (and I imagine they could be minor villains) or people that does whatever they wanted with their new miraculous powers.

It also puts the heroes in the hilarious position of having the exact same goals as Hawkmoth, which is recover the miraculouses. I can imagine some of the 'temporary heroes' getting really annoyed and thinking the heroes are no better than Hawkmoth since both parties are trying to steal their powers. All while the heroes debate as to whether getting back all the jewelry in the box is actually the right thing to do.

I think the power system is super disappointing for the same reasons you mentioned... I think the bunny miraculous would've been really great if it wasn't about time travel but seeing past or future events. Yes, this is still OP but not if you give that power limitation. One limitation could be for example that they don't have control over what they will see and how much they will see of the past or future event. That would explain why they can't just find out the villains' identities and what happened to Emilie right away. It could also make it unappealing to use. After all you don't know what you will see and I imagine that could be really scary.

The goat and rooster’s powers were so obviously taken from the users interests. The team looked at Marinette’s class/friend group, chose Marc and Nathaniel, THEN developed the powers. “Ah yes, author can write his own powers because story writer! Artist can make anything he imagines! (literally evillustrator but without the pen pad+can only use once).” I remember seeing the powers online since I refuse to watch season 4, and I just thought that the team is willing to overlap powers, just so it seems like the characters are perfect for this miraculous. Marinette knew what the miraculous did and was like, “I know the perfect people for these!” AND NO DIP YOU KNEW THE PERFECT PEOPLE, THE MIRACULOUS WERE DESIGNED FOR THEM. Like the writers team had no clue what to make the powers for these last two and instead thought about who they were going to give them to-which is horrible power writing!

The Goat should've had the power to manipulate gravity and the Rooster the power to manipulate light. Not only would they have original powers but their powers would also match their respective animals. But the writers are too lazy and didn't even bother looking into fan ideas

You are probably very correct on that.

The Dragon's power was actually foreshadowed by Kagami's mom in the episode. She said in her legend "Tomoe Gozen fought her way to recognition-as elusive as the Wind, as powerful as the Flood, as swift as Lightning", which I think she implies as qualities to be the best/perfect. It's a stretch, but it's the closest we have.

I think the reason why the miraculous powers are often repeated in other miraculous is simply that there are too many of them and you can't think of so much anymore. I wouldn't be able to think of a totally special power for each individual with almost 20 miracolous. And the fact that there are many more boxes in the temple of the guardians with probably just as many miraculous... There would definitely be over 100 miraculous in general! I think that's really a lot, because they're supposed to be "rare" and "secret". In my opinion, it would not only be - because of the problem that there are too many miraculous, but also too many heroes, who all act like robots because of the majority - better if only the first five miraculous were in the mother box, Mari's box. Only the ones that were distributed in season 2 and there'd be only five heroes, which because of their small number you give a real teamup and the team miraculous has a deeper relationship. In my opinion, that would be really better for the story, the characters, the character development and also for the writers. It would be so much clearer. (sorry for the bad English😅)

There's decades of super hero comics, shows, manga, SO many power ideas, and yet we get repeats for some reason. Heck, even if he did want to stick to the concepts of the universe idea, he still could have differentiated the powers DX

I feel like the “restoration” part of ladybug’s power should be a conjunction of Chat Noir and Ladybug’s powers. Like, a theme on how “destruction creates and creation destroys” the ying and yang of chat and ladybug. Then it would make sense why you DONT want the ladybug and chat miraculous together in the hands of a villains. It’s capable of a lot of things bcs it deals with destruction and creation aka granting any wish. And basically rendering just having one Miraculous a huge power imbalance

they actually did contradict themselves with the whole kwamis & technology ordeal, in the episode optigami marinette has a whole phone conversation w the kwamis but it's been proven before that kwamis can't be seen or heard through technological devices

The problem is that a plot hole as big as that basically should not let the show continue. Bc if Marinette was not able to contact the Kwamis, then they would have never got out, meaning they would be dead, and boom, no more ladybug.😀 The amount of plot holes in the show do not make sense, and makes the writers look like they didnt take any time to write the episodes and THOUGHTFULLY think about them. Same for their ideas.

@@sparkle885 There are many plot holes like for example you know how master Fu has a box full of other miraculouses and pretty much most of them are broken and op and ladybug can access and borrow them. If they have that box full of the other 17 miraculouses that can give them any powers that can make them any power they want like rooster giving you any ability you want,bunny allowing for time travel or snake allowing you multiple retrys for any fight for example and with two experienced heros,they are pretty much way more powerful than hawkmoth. All they would have to do is to use the other miraculouses to find hawkmoth,make a plan to fight him and choose what miraculous will help them and when it comes to fight him, ladybug and cat noir could easily overpower and kill hawkmoth for good. What is hawkmoth's two miraculousea when ladybug and cat noir have the other 17.

Then why not just kill hawkmoth by locating him and choosing the right miraculouses to kill hawkmoth. They have a bunch of miraculouses that can give them god powers and if ladybug and master Fu wanna save Paris so badly,then why don't they try to find hawkmoth and try to find and kill him soon as possible by using the other miraculouses? If they can't time travel then am very sure that ladybug,cat noir and master Fu could use the miraculouses to locate hawkmoth,make a plan to stop him and kill hawkmoth for good without time travel! what is stopping them from doing that?!

I think one of the biggest issues the power system has is that there is no sense of "Yes, you are worth of the Miraculous". I think that is one of the most crucial moments in magical girl shows, while not every magical girl show obeys this, it's clear MLB is trying to go this route. Adrien and Marinette's worth it moments were decent, Alya's was fine imo, but the rest just kinda... sucked. It's like 5 seconds of conflict and then flashy transformation and boom, battle. Another issue I see is that kwamis seem to not possess free will, which very much kills the whole choosing someone thing. In magical girl shows like these it's very important to have the user and pixie or whatever bond together. I remember in one of my favorite childhood shows this was a vital part for the protagonist's mission, they had to earn the fairy's trust to seal them, the other requirement was to know the fairy's name, but anyways, my point is that bonding is a crucial part for this kind of situations. And finally, the sense of teaming up is basically non existant. Everyone else is useless without Ladybug and she basically brings temporary heroes as TOOLS. A team of superheroes should be balancing each other out, not some being lesser than others or have everyone listen to the leader. This is partially what made LadyNoir as a duo work out, Ladybug's sternness balanced out Chat Noir's more laid back attitude, and vice versa. When literally anyone else in brought in the team everyone else except Ladybug just become disposable tools thanks to her power. I really don't think the writers thought this out enough, or they suck at balancing both teams and powers. They also suck at writing rules for powers/superheroes, or just suck at sticking to them. I wrote a painfully long scientific styled explanation on how corruption works in my world, and I am literally just a teen with a knack for anything art related, it cannot be that hard for a team of people to make imaginary rules or some basic explanation how their heroes and power system works. TLDR: Folks, think very hard about explaining magic and its rules please.

I think Chloe's "worthy" moment was really good (or it could have been), when she confessed to causing her father to be akumatized and tells ladybug what's really going on with her, and then ladybug tells her that she can fix her own messes and gives her the miraculous. But then they had to go throw away all of Chloe's character development, which in effect ruins the whole scene. It could have been so much better.

THANK YOU! gosh after years of watching this show ive never seen a person mention that first point you made. the only superhero in this damn show that was “worth” having a miraculous was chloe. she had all the traits a typical hero wouldnt have, yet seeing everyone in love with ladybug forced her to subconsciously emulate ladybug’s behaviour. she was an antihero if anything, but sadly this show hates morally grey characters so that all went down the drain.

Fr, I agree with literally everything here, and yeah when it comes down to all the superheroes, they all lacked having a Hero journey, even Marinette and Adrien hardly had a heroes journey when becoming Ladybug and Chatnoir. And if they made it where Kwami's had atleast SOME free will, it would be interesting, cause someone can be assigned a miraculous, but if the Kwami of that miraculous doesn't bond with/like the person, they can 'reject' them so the person can't have the miraculous until they manage to bond with the Kwami.

I always found it strange when they introduced the 12 zodiac miraculous. In season 2 you only see the top of the miracle box, with the 2 main miraculous and the 5 supporting ones whose powers don't overlap until the season finale when you find out that the peacock is just the butterfly but with objects instead of people. If they just stuck to those 7 and changed the peacock it would have been much easier to work with, maybe if you want the ensemble cast to still play roles just give them the fox, turtle or bee but have them use it differently based on their personalities.

This is why I prefer the vision system in Genshin Impact. Anyone can get one, but only a small minority of people do. They all allow for a person to use elemental energy, but no two vision holders are alike. They may share an element, but the way the manifest it is different. Here's an example: Gorou and Ningguang. They're both authority figures and have Geo visions. Ningguang being the Tinquang of the Liyue Qixing, Gorou being the General of the resistance on Watasumi Island. But yet, they're very different in terms of: people, business, and even in battle.

I read the other comments talking about that the bunny miraculous should be some past/future vision, and I agree. When you activate the bunny you only see what you saw or what you will see in the future. This would force you to be constantly passing information to another user which would be dangerous, also once activated the power the timer starts and the user would just stay there immobile while looking through time and once the timer finish it force them back to the present leaving them a bit confused and vulnerable. This would force the bunny to be a passive user that need to be protected, a bit like bunnies are always seen as innocent prey.

@@TheArtisticAloubell I would have Ladybug learn martial arts if i was a writer, Savate would be a good choice since she is in France, her father could teach her, Abel uses it in Street Fighter IV, it is kinda cool. Since most superheroes are adults, i'd have her be a legacy character, having her working for a superhero that ends up having to retire early and have her having to take up the mantle of Ladybug earlier than intended and have Master Fu choose Cat for his own reasons, or have Su Han train him like he was Danny Rand/Iron Fist, from the comics, not the series, he would be an orphan then, except Hawk Moth would be his dad but he wouldn't know it, because after Master Fu's past is revealed, Cyrus started calling him Master F**K, and for good reason. Adrien would learn from Su Han that the Peacock was lost and The Butterfly was being used for evil, Chloe would be secretly a villain with the Cat Miraculous, but Adrien would help Ladybug and break Hawk Moth's hold on Plagg, getting the Cat Miraculous, like the Sixth Master on The Five Venoms he would be no match for an Akumatized Miraculous holder alone, but with Ladybug he would win and become Chat Noir without Ladybug knowing. Su Han would train them both anyways but since they were always in costume they wouldn't know who each other was. Chloe would spend some time as an Akumatized second in command that was never purified until she redeemed herself, at which point Lila would take her place, with Sabrina and Alya or Sabrina and Nino in tow making it personal for the heroes

Seeing each classmate get their own episode where they overcome their own little arc, and get transformations, quips, and their time to shine was so nifty; it’s been pretty much built up from the start and has been a mystery that compels viewers to keep watching. That’s why penalteam is the worst episode of the series. They just finished off the box, all four kwamis, all at once. That’s unforgivable.

OMG IKR!? I love the idea of the class getting Miraculouses because that's one of the few ways that we can actually see them shine and get development. Guessing which Miraculous will end up being given to who is also pretty fun. Seeing new heroes is pretty fun too because of their costumes, transformations and seeing the main 5 all over again would be boring. That being said, Penalteam is pretty much one of the WORST episode because none of the new holders got any kind of development, screentime or at the very least a fricking backstory or family reveal! Not even transformation sequences! Their costumes and hero names fricking suck- like-what the hell is Sabrina wearing? Nathaniel's outfit looks ugly af. Ivan's was good but a little too basic and the horns don't feel right. The only one that's good was Marc's. And don't even get me started on their powers- Caprikid, Rooster Bold and Miss Hound' powers are just....ewww. Caprikid's power is unoriginal, uninteresting and uncreative as hell because it's literally just a knock off Ladybug. It makes me wonder what was going on inside the writers' heads because I bet 99.9% of MLB fans can come up with better power for it in 1 minute. Rooster Bold's power creates plot hole and is literally the worst designed power from a narrative perspective. Miss Hound's power is lame and weak af (also her name should've been Pup Fidèle of Cavelier). The only one that's acceptable is Minotaurox's power. If the creator ran out of ideas, they could've taken inspiration from the fans' ideas! I could even go as far as calling this garbage of an episode worse than Simpleman simply (pun not intended) because of the sheer amount of wasted potential it has. A bad episode that has potential is worse than an episode that's just bad. This episode defeats the whole purpose of giving Miraculouses out to Mari's friends, which is giving those characters development and explore their characters. And you know what pisses me off the most about the rushed introduction of the 4 new heroes? It's the fact that instead of spending money on dedicated episodes for the last 4 holders and time on designing good costumes and coming up with good powers for them-they creators instead chose to create -not 1, not 2, but 4 filler episodes that add nothing to the plot and the characters (Psycomedian, Dearest Family, Qilin, Simpleman). All the time and effort spent on creating filler episodes could've been used to create dedicated episodes for the last 4 heroes. It's really sad when you think about the wasted story potential: like-Sabrina receiving a Miraculous should've been a character development arc where she learns to be independent. Ivan could've had a cute arc where we learn more about his backstory. Nathaniel and Marc could've had episodes in which they receive their Miraculouses saving each other. In conclusion: the creators of this show are hilariously dumb and I will never forgive them for missing out on story potential

I want to have a max centric episode and we actually explore more of his relationships with Kim and Alix, especially showing how smart he actually is (like c’mon he made a sentient robot at his lab at home) or coming to terms to the fact he’s asexual (which is canon) which could be a nice little arc, you could also do a similar arc with alix as she’s confirmed to be aromatic it could make a nice arc about being yourself and can marionette not be the main focus or be the reason they accept themselves for what ever reason since it happens so often

Commenting as I watch: I think the REAL issue was giving the Dragon "Perfection" instead of something with more of a solid concept than something so subjective. I think it should have maybe had Evocation if they wanted to go the element route, and given her the 5 Chinese elements but start the 5-minute timer after using the first one to balance it out. If it always fixed things, I think that would have meant it'd always need to be in use, and that would almost make it on a level with the Cat and Ladybug. I don't think the POWER is always the problem, but the CONCEPT is. IMO "Miraculous Ladybug" should have been a power BOTH the Cat and Ladybug had, and the power's origin is related to the fact that they are the two most powerful Miraculous in the world, so thus, they have the ability to undo the damage done by any of the Miraculous, including each other. The "Miraculous Ladybug" power is both creation and destruction (as I would argue restoration is such a thing- you have to destroy the damage to recreate the original construct. I would say what the power does is restoration, so she's not exactly recreating but something adjacent to it). With Adoration/Fetch, I think it would have worked better if like... maybe instead of Adoration, Barkk had Repetition as a power, considering Fetch is a game where you repeatedly throw an object for an animal to go get. However, sometimes the power is the problem, like with the Goat. I think the Goat could have retained Passion and instead been used to instil passion in another Miraculous holder, an akuma, a sentimonster, or even an ordinary person to do a particular thing (no matter how mundane) and do it with passion. Something like the Dying Will bullets from early Hitman Reborn, ha. I like the idea of the Butterfly being able to create heroes (or in this case, villains) using people's emotions. That's fine. It should have the power of Emotion, not the Peacock. The Peacock could instead have Transmission, and be allowed to control an object instead of a person. It thus transmits the basic powers of a Miraculous to an object, making it swift, agile, nigh-indestructible, and very strong. It can't speak or communicate, but the Peacock can always see what is going on through this Sentimonster. The object can be any size, and even if it's bolted to the ground, it can still move. I think Sass's Second Chance would work better if it could just allowed the user or someone they touch to redo or redirect one action. No going back in time a few seconds, just a redo of an action. For example, a redo of Cat Noir's very first Cataclysm where he used it on a soccer goal- Second Chance would allow him to redo that action and not touch the goal. Basically, just tweak Second Chance a little. They have to have already been touched by Second Chance to redo the action. Using the CN example, he'd have to already have been given a Second Chance by the time he touched to goal, rather than getting the Second Chance AFTER touching it. The Second Chance on another user would manifest itself as a ring that looks like a snake I guess. I don't think it'd be OP to allow Second Chance to be given to another person (but not both the user AND this other person) if Voyage and Burrow can also take other people besides the user with and Shell-ter can protect more than just the user. Burrow's simple fix would be if you can only time travel in the exact spot you're in. You leave from your bedroom, you reappear there. You also can't leave a certain radius of your "burrow", and you are only a shadow- nobody can see or hear you. The rules are a little different for Fluff, who still can only travel across one spot, but can leave the radius of her Burrow and can interact with other kwamis (but no humans). Rooster would have been fixed if it just allowed you to choose a power you've seen since transforming with some limitations, like no powers that involve the mind at all (so no mind control, no mind-reading, no truth or lie powers, no telepathy, etc). Gabriel will lose because Lila or Felix steals his Miraculous lmao. That's it. He doesn't lose per se, he just has his Miraculous stolen. There was also an episode where Alya thinks that Cat Noir looks a lot like Adrien lmao. I think in the episode with the costumes, they were probably worried people would think they look a lot like LB and CN and think "what if they are" because I have to guess the magic works kind of like that disability where you can't remember faces, but you remember details about them. So Ladybug is seen as this girl with pigtails and blue eyes but nobody can quite see the finer details like the fact she's half-Asian or even how old she looks. Cat Noir is a blond with tanned skin, but nobody can see that. But if they see Marinette and Adrien in costumes, they might notice similarities like "hey this Marinette girl has blue eyes and pigtails and has a similar build to Ladybug. That's weird". Cuz IIRC, Tikki was also freaking the hell out because that's just what she does when it comes to Marinette's identity. It's definitely kind of a mess regarding the powers and the lack of importance for the 12 Zodiacs. Here is how I would personally have written the 19 Miraculous: Ladybug - Creation - Lucky Charm/Miraculous Ladybug Cat - Destruction - Cataclysm/Miraculous Cat (same function as Miraculous Ladybug) Fox - Illusion - Mirage Butterfly - Emotion - Akumas (Grant powers based on someone's emotions) Peacock - Transmission - Sentience (Grant sentience and power to objects) Turtle - Protection - Shell-ter Bee - Subjection - Venom (Subjection works, on the grounds that the victim is now "subject" to harm or similar) Dragon - Evocation - Water/Fire/Metal/Wood/Earth Dragon (mostly same powers, different concept) Snake - Intuition - Second Chance (Allow the user to grant themselves or someone they choose the ability to redo an action) Goat - Passion - Frenzy (make someone extremely passionate about something) Monkey - Derision - Uproar Dog - Repetition - Fetch (same function, different represented concept) Pig - Jubilation - Gift Ox - Determination - Resolute (I feel like "Resistance" should be its own kwami so I just changed the name) Tiger - Exaltation - Almighty Roar (makes everyone who heard it focus their attention on the user) Mouse - Multiplication - Multitude Rooster - Imitation - Mimicry (copies a power the user has seen) Rabbit - Revision - Burrow (in-person glimpse into the past or future focused on a single point relative to your location) Horse - Teleportation - Voyage I renamed Evolution to Revision because I already don't think Evolution fits with time travel. Revision works with the whole "going back in time to see what happened" idea and "going back in time to mess up time" thing, as "revision" both means going back over something AND re-doing it.

A headcannon of mine is that the goat miraculous's power changes according to the user's passion and since Nathaniel's passion is drawing - that's what was the power that it gave him. It's also exactly like his Evillustrator power

Finally someone puts it to words ! The miraculous system is very disorganized and unstructured , with some being too OP and others being so weak , a simple fix would be that because the kwamis are the embodiment of a concept and that concept can have a lot of descriptions and different meanings to it , perhaps the power of the miraculouses change based on it's wielder personality while staying true to that miraculous theme . Example : when Marinette holds the cat , it can give her a reverse lucky charm that gives bad luck to her opponent and sabotage his power( coincidentally this looks like the monkey ) . That way we can explain why some powers are similar to each other , because these powers are not fixed and stay as they are to any wielder but change which may result sometimes into similarities .and from a writing point of view it can lead to a lot of creativity .

I'm curious to how depending on the user. How the power of the peacock miraculous could differ than with different holders/users.

I know when the pilot was out, the concept of good and bad luck were very relevant to the protagonists. Felix was a rich and has a lot of privalige in his life, which would be lucky for him, but is cursed with bad luck. Bridgette was a clumsy, unlucky girl who was blessed with good luck. I feel like they held onto this concept when it came to Marinette, but dropped it when they made Adrien as he has very little to do with unluckiness. Basically, the old concept was better, the pilot should have been followed for the show, and I don't like the kwami and miraculous in execution

Yes!! I will always prefer the pilot over the show. It had so much charm and made much more sense.

I think the major problem is they really have NO weaknesses. They're all nearly indestructible when transformed & the closest they have to a threat is either an akuma or another miraculous user, but even then they are rarely in physical danger- even if they seem to perceive things as threats to them. Most of the weakness comes from then being inexperienced teenagers who never got training or real guidance before given their powers. The timer? That only really kicks in when they use their special powers though(although the series isn't 100% consistent on that fact). With rare occasion the fights are generally dragged out more to pad the run time than out of necessity. Season 4's ending almost had to be a complete cop-out excuse to have her lose so hard. It's not really a unique problem. Superman has had it since day one. 99% of criminals he fights are no match. They've had to invent weaknesses. I don't really get why pieces of his home planet are fatal to him(nor why there are so many pieces just laying around, at this rate the number of fragments that are easily accessible exceeds realistic expectations) & the "magic" weakness was just thrown in without being really defined. Video game adaptations of heroes like Superman & Wolverine(who himself has the healing factor going so high he's regrown from just his brain at one point) often have to go to some rather extreme lengths to make the games challenging in that regard. I think The Mask handled it best. Technically anyone who wears it is powered by the spirit of a Norse god(I'm going by the original scripted opening to the film & ignoring the terrible sequel's retcon) & completely invulnerable. Stanley's personality inside though is flighty, a party animal & easily distracted. The animated series built on that while giving him supervillains to fight- he could & should beat any of them in seconds if he was in control but he's not. He even admits he could outright just kill anyone but his morality stops it(probably a nod to the original comics). Then there is Walter(a character from the comics that got toned down slightly for the cartoon), an unexplained, indestructible force of nature(who may even be immortal, assuming the "ancestor" in the time travel episode was actually him) who can take on the Mask in a fight. Walter is never explained, he just IS. If you have a nigh-godlike being, weaken him somehow through a means that makes sense & sometimes have something that can challenge him, because if one such entity exists then others should too. (And if Adrien's bodyguard Gorilla wasn't at least somewhat "inspired by" Walter, I would be surprised)

SOOO many thoughts and amazing points being brought up! 1) Black cat = bad luck = destruction. Ladybug = good luck = creation? I'll take it if Chat Noir and Ladybug were EQUAL aka the fake ying yang that they alude to (see the miracle box design) but they DON'T. Chat was reduced to her sidekick tho he has WAY more training that her (fencing, and maybe martial arts?) Also, if they are to be the strongest, why are there BETTER miraculous? Horse, Bunny, Snake, Rooster. 2) I agree there are wayyyyy too many miraculous with the same powers. The fandom is really creative with their OCs, I think professionals show be able to come up with better ideas. 3) Every child in the class should not have a miraculous? Limiting it to the original 5 (cat, ladybug, fox, turtle, bee) was completely fine, especially if we were gonna power up with the other miraculous. Also, I do like the global boxes (ex: Brazil, North America) but if there are global super heroes, WHO ARE ADULTS (ex: NYC special), WHYYYY would 14 year olds be the first French super heroes of their era? You are fixed this in your origins rewrite. If they wanted to make all the kids temporary heroes, make the miraculous break after one use and free the Kwami back into existence. That way you have merch, have the kids be super heroes who serve a temporary purpose, and can still manipulate them to "figure out" who the guardian is like in the terrible S3 ending. This would also make the black cat and ladybug even more valuable because they are more "stable." Also more stakes at hand when choosing the temp heroes, not just because their parents got into an argument??? (I barely started S4 I havent watched everything else that happens.) 4) Terrible secret identity mechanism, how hard was it to change their features as super heroes? From hair to eye color, to voice. It's hard to suspend my disbelief when they do stuff to negate/contradict their own rules. (Aka what you already mentioned in the video.) If an AI was able to figure out their identities then why cant the super rich and "clever (🥴)" Gabriel Agreste do that too??

@@yez9475 the issue is, as mentioned in the video, is that even when they were NOT in costume they were afraid of dressing up like their hero personas (s2) and also they recorded their voices while out of costume to send messages as if they were in costume.

I think that the miracle Box is split up into both Creation and Destruction, which is why there are similar powers like the Goat and Ladybug and the Tiger and the Cat. This does contradict itself, however, as most Miraculouses can be used for both or neither.

Honestly, the concept of the Quantic Kids (Bridgette, Felix, Allegra, Claude and Allen) would have worked much better in my opinion. It not only solves the power problem with there being only 5 characters, but it possibly would have been just more interesting in general.

I've just thought of another concept for the dragon: PRESSURE! Kagami is constantly under pressure to be perfect, and wind pressure is a crucial part of weather changes! It also just _sounds_ intimidating. For the goat, maybe their concept should have been "resourcefulness" or "creativity"? As an artist, you usually take simple items/tools and repurpose them to make better things. Instead of creating things outright, maybe it could let the user change any random item into weapons...although that still sounds too similar to the lucky charm 😭

1) I kind of agreed about the Ladybug and the goat's powers that are too similar to each other because we've already got the creation so why make another one? Yes, I get that for the goat, you can only make physical objects but there's no point in creating another one. Instead, the goat power could've been similar to Sai's from Naruto since both deal with drawing/artists. 2) Also, I guess the bunny and snake's power are too similar because both deal with time but of course, the bunny is a lot stronger than the snake because you can really go back in time and fix it. While the snake's power only goes back 5 minutes depending on your opponents. 3) I kind of don't like the rooster's power because it just doesn't make sense that you can give any ability you want like what specifically? At least be more detailed about this. Instead, other fans' theory is that the rooster can be used as archery which I think it's really cool and I literally accept that. But it's basically whatever. 🙄🙄 4) I think the Fox and Peacock are just too similar because we already got the illusion so why create another one but with sentimonster? Honestly, I think the sentimonster needs to explain a little bit more but what I understand is that it creates human's emotions. Btw, what do you think about Adrien is a sentimonster? 5) EVERY CHARACTER DESERVES CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! Because I think it is so ridiculous that they have been a background for a long and the only time they needed is to defeat the supervillains. Like.. bruh if you want to use them as a superhero then at least flesh them out first so that we can like them. Yes, I get that there are too many characters at once but at the same time, at least manage it and figure things out. Like there's no excuse for not using them because that would be a waste of potential. Honestly, I just realize that Chloe is the ONLY character that has character development rather than her classmates (after that, her development was thrown away). Overall, I'm just disappointed with the last few powers and their power systems because it could've been explained a little bit more compare to Shonen's.

-I feel like the Dragon's concept would be better off being something like "Acclimatization". It wouldn't make as much sense as some of the others but it would fit better than "Perfection" because we have seen how the user can use each of the Dragon's powers to "adapt" to and solve a certain situation. - I can't believe the writers picked "Passion" over "Imagination" and "Intuition" over "Repetition" for the Goat and Snake' concepts respectively. I mean c'mon, they were RIGHT THERE -Some powers being too similar to another power and unoriginal just kind of bothers me. I mean, if the writers were so out of ideas that they couldn't come up with anything new and creative, they could've just taken notes from the fandom's ideas. The fandom is filled with so many great concepts and ideas that are way better than the canon -The Butterfly's concept kind of makes sense because its power has more to do with the holder being able to communicate with the akumatized person than the peacock -I don't mind some Miraculouses being OP as long as it makes sense and doesn't cause any plot holes. I can tolerate the Ladybug being strong because it's a repeated fact throughout the show that it's the most powerful one. But the Rooster and the Rabbit being OP kind of bothers me. First of all, they're supposed to be a tier below the big 7 yet they can basically make the main 7 look lame in comparison. Second of all, they create plot holes. Why didn't Mari use them earlier? -I don't mind having more holders as long as they're memorable and fleshed out

How to fix some powers Ladybug: Make her creation powers as powerful as she is, example: In the beggining of the series her powers of creation could be limited to small objects then as progressing she could get stronger Rooster: Make him get any of the miraculous powers but in small degree and time limit like if he wants cataclisma he could only destroy things at a certain degree

I’m making a Miraculous fanfic where I’m rewriting the show and I’m going to be changing some of the powers. Note: I’m getting rid of the whole “Kwami embodying a concept” thing because I don’t really think that’s necessary and in my story the holder’s can use their powers as many times as they want (unless they unify with another Miraculous than they can only use the powers a certain amount of times) 1. The Rabbit Miraculous lets the user VIEW the timeline but not actually travel through it. They can see the past and present but only a limited time into the future (5 or 6 minutes at most). The Rabbit’s weakness is that if the user doesn’t know the date something happened they can’t view it (meaning Monarch won’t be able to find out Ladybug or Cat Noir’s identities since for all he knows they could have had their Miraculous for years). I HATE time travel so this was the first one I had to fix. The snake does it right. 2. The Goat Miraculous lets the user heal any injury or ailment (I’m planning to introduce Caprikid in Psychomedian so his power will help cure the people whose emotions were affected) so long as the person isn’t dead. 3. The Rooster Miraculous allows the user to enhance any physical capability (strength, speed, agility, intelligence etc.) of their choice. Basically, the user can obtain any boosted ability so long as it’s theoretically possible for a human to achieve (it’s always possible to get faster/stronger). It can even be used to make the user a skilled hacker or painter/builder. 4. Now my favorite. In my story, the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses can both capture and purify Akumas/Amoks and both need each other to fix everything instead of saying “Miraculous Ladybug” they say “Restoration” while throwing their tools in the air (yo-yo and staff). It works cause the Ladybug is repairing the damage while the Cat is destroying anything the villain leaves behind (like Stormy Weather’s bad weather or Gamer’s fighting robot) I may not be the best at explaining things but I hope you understand the general idea.

My friend and I had the idea of the Zodiac miraculous being included, but separate from the main set we see in the story. Basically, we had the ZM as this governing body over the other miracle boxes. The idea of multiple miracle boxes with their own sets of miraculous is honestly fine. Heck, you can even allude to the different countries having their own, which would alleviate repeated powers a bit. But having so many clustered in one place has just made this a mess. Especially with Mari being the one in charge.

I honestly got a headache about how they used Chinese Zodiac for the mother box, but then I remember how like in the Chinese special, they used the same thing or something similar to that, which just breaks everything. If they wanted to put the Chinese Zodiac in this while wanting the main seven miraculouses to be in place, they should have just threated these two things as separate miraculouses. You can still have the Chinese Zodiac miraculouses but the Peacock, Fox, Bee, Butterfly, Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses be put in another miracle box. Get the Shanghai special cut out, but if you want it to keep it in, then maybe put the roots there, a point in the plot. Have maybe the Mother box with the Chinese Zodiac miraculouses be sent there first with a guardian who is responsible on keeping it safe (Fae's father or it's relative), then Wang Fu ( I refuse to call him master) will come around there with that other miracle box that holds the LB and the BC mls. Then some time later Fu was forced to flee, but with two miracle boxes this time around. Then we would get to where we are, but things would be different, along with the origins of it. As for the magic system, oh boy it really needs a huge change for sure because it is pure chaos that it messes up my head for sure. I do plan on making a fanfic about all this one day, but unlike the show, I won't drag it out. That includes the identity reveal as well.

At least Code Lyoko had people stay dead if they died since it couldn't bring back souls, but would only reset matter when accessing "back to the past" funtion along with making the villain stronger.

Miraculous is like that game you played with your friends where you're invincible because you have all the elements and you're a god so you can never be defeated, and everytime your friend tries to find a way to defeat you, you just say they can't

While I don't mind the Dog's power, I think it could have worked a bit differently. Since you can only recall the touched item *once*, it could have made more sense if touching something gave you it's "scent" and allows the user to track it no matter where it goes (at least for the 5 minute window after activating the power) But if they wanted to stick with the Adoration theme, then have the Dog's power work more as a buff for their teammates. You show them some love/adoration and they get a temporary power boost, or even a bit of healing if necessary. I had initially thought that the Rooster's power would be super speed, but maybe that would work better for the Horse. Then have the Rabbit's Burrow power work like Voyage, minus the time travel aspects. The Rooster's power would honestly make more sense with Goat, given that it's still a power that can be associated with passion. Just have them work more like a mage/wizard, with the ability they give themselves or someone else having to take the form of a spell/incantation. As for the Rooster, Pretention could can be seen as a form of arrogance, so maybe the Rooster could have a taunting power of sorts that either makes the villain target them (which creates a diversion) *or* the taunt can be a debuff once it hits the villain

i still cant believe people still confuse them,theyre literally so different,yes they both deal with time,but thye bunny power is TIME TRAVEL while the snkae is GOING BACK IN TIME so that means the snake miraculous restores time to whre it was before,but the bunny miraculous doesnt

when i first heard that the tiger miraculous was "clout" i had to search it up because i wasn't sure how they would use that as a power but apparently clout also means hitting something hard

This is why I prefer Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja more, because there's only one magical item that grants the user to become a superhero. I was fine with just the one miracle box but then when they kept adding more and more heroes into the mix, it subsequently made the ladybug and cat noir miraculous lose their uniqueness. We're told that these to items are more special than the rest, yet they feel basically the same and can be swapped out without too much of a difference. While in rc9gn, one one person can be the Ninja at a time, and while the suit's powers are also vague, there are some limitations. The power system is also a neat part of the show, there are only a few ever three types of magical item, the ninja mask plus nomicon, the pearls of Chaos aka the power balls and also a small talisman, but that gets used only once. So that way, your focus is only on the suit, the Nomicon and the power balls. The power system is not perfect, but it doesn't have too much on its plate, so it allows itself to tell a fun story.

They know where their focus is, they know their themes of the various types of friendship, from the realistic and toxic, yet genuine love between Randy and Howard, the weird and wonderful work boss friendship of McFist and Viceroy, the long lasting and loyal respect and friendship of First Ninja and Plop plop, heck even the relationship of Mac Antfee and Man gong, not to mention the stranded relationship of McFist and Mac Antfee. The show focuses more on the the main characters, and just have fun with themselves, thus allowing the show to be whatever it wants to be.

The storm theme works with the dragon, but it doesn't work with the idea of PERFECTION. Unless they are playing on the phrase "the perfect storm," but considering its concepts of the universe, that doesn't work here.

What you said in the chapter "Too Many Kwamis and Miraculous" is absolutely true. With good writing many different superheroes/superpowers can work. Just look at X-Men. There are many mutants but both in the comics and in the movies (with good writing) they made sure to show that even those who have the same mutation are distinct with different power levels and morals. For example in the movies I can immediately think 3 telepaths, Charles Xavier, Jean Gray and Emma Frost. But they use their mutation in different ways so they don't feel the same. In Miraculous Ladybug all the good guys have the same morals and because they are given the miraculous every now and then under specific rules they don't have any choice other than being ladybug's yes-men. Whenever there is a different morality in one of the characters they are immediately one of the villains, just look at Chloe

Thinking about it, MLB could use the goat miraculous in the same way the X-Men writers use Rogue's mutation. In case you don't know Rogue's mutant ability is to absorb memories, powers, personality traits, physical talents, and strength by skin-to-skin contact. For most of her heroic career, Rogue was unable to control her power, and anyone she touched would almost immediately fall unconscious. It would be an interesting twist in this power if the power the goat miraculous had was to touch another miraculous (or another miraculous user) to take their power *but* it drained the power of the object/person it touches.

I kinda feel like the snake miraculous could have been cooler if a villain used it . Imagine if their power was spitting venom like a Rinkhals cobra, or being able to have thermal vision like real life pit vipers do. That would have been awesome in my opinion. It could have also have kept its original power of time travel and used it to be a nuisance for the Rabbit Kwami and it’s holder. Kinda like a Flash and Reverse flash style thing

I 100% agree with everything you said. Something that even makes it worse with the miraculous holders thing is that in season 5 Gabe has all of them which means that the heroes (and maybe Kwamis) will get no development. If there is an official team with permanent holders in the future and we get to see them, the holders will not have that great of an impact since we didn’t get to see them grow with their Kwami for the most part. If Miraculous ever gets a good reboot the power system will need to have a total rewrite.

DX The lack of development HURTS

I think from watching Cyrus and your miraculous content, I’ve realized the biggest problem with ml is the storytelling and what I like to call “scale writing”. Scale writing is where things are bogged down or forgotten about in order to hold things up or make something specific happen. One thing is ‘weighing down’ the story, another thing is held up. Example: Cat Noir’s angst arc. It was “weighing down the story” by making people think ladybug was in the wrong (which to be fair, yes, she is. But the writing overall is meh so I’m not going to get into that). The issue id given it’s own episode in Kuro Neko after Adrien gives up his miraculous because he feels left out… but Ladybug, the one we should be rooting for, says that she needs to find a cat who isn’t in love with her. This is propped up. I’m not sure if I’m making sense at this point but I’m trying h- Anyways, the writing is meh at best so I’ve been knee deep in writing miraculous fics that take care of those problems.

Yes, one thing that really bothered me is that when Marinette becomes guardian they say non-holders cannot see kwamis via camera or live but ALL THE TIME during the show Marinette and Adrien HIDE them. Additionally kwamis are basically unseizable for non holders yet again they end up being grabbed.In the final episode of the 1st season Plagg opens the wall safe by entering like a ghost does. But then the majority of the cliffhangers involving the kwamis are about them getting grabbed, like Tikki with Chloe 1st season, episode Princess Fragrance. Even if they are lost shouldn't the transformation bring them forcefully back? When kwamis aren't near Adrien and Marinette search for them and then they transform, but even in the transformation the kwamis are SHOVED not placed inside the jewel, so why bothering searching for them? You call and they are BOUND TO come.

Okay let's say - I remember why exactly I've even remembered the concept of Miraculous before it was even a show. It's because the premise was about two super heroes using the powers of *Luck* and *Misfortune* . I mean it made so much sense for me? The concept is pretty vague but just...makes sense for Ladybug to be the main source of power - because even if the other kwamis have super cool abilities, luck is sometimes the only thing you need? Also for Plagg's destruction power being simply a strong concentration of misfortune. Also it would've been amazing to see these two things clash with each other? I was literally very surprised (and... disappointed) when I got into the show and it was about creation/destruction instead with LadyBug being OP for like...very unspecified reason and Chat Noir having the most dangerous power but with writers not knowing how to use it?

Cat Noir is DEFINITELY being under-utilized.

When it comes to time travel, a cartoon that mostly handles it well is Ben 10. It's eventually stated that every time they interact with their future selves, the timeline changes (there are also times when they completely forget the events due to the circumstances of the time travel). There was even an episode similar to Chat Blanc where a small change leads to the world being taken over. And it was caused because one of the characters messed with time directly as opposed to it seemingly being the natural course of things)

What about Same As It Never Was and the ultimate Drako arc from season two of the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series? That handled different timelines pretty well.

Episodes where we see pov of adrien, kagami, alya , luka , max, juleka should be made, I want them to get more attention, and them interacting more with themselves and kwamis

Would be better than constantly seeing Mari being creepy and lusting over Adrien for the millionth time. Like seriously, the joke has long since overstayed it's welcome, she isn't any closer to being in a relationship with Adrien to the point where the growing development in season 2 was erased (but then again, I think everything in season 2 was retconned out of existence) and she gets creepier with her obsession.

Fr new holder debut episodes should've been focus episodes for the people who are going to get their Miraculous that focus on their POV, flesh them out, give them character developments, give insights into their personal lives, goals and establish them as superheroes with their own mindsets and personalities that aren't just Ladybug's yes-man yes-woman

They should've made Ladybug's power to revert everything back to normal requires Chat Noir's destruction. It makes more sense because Chat Noir's powers destroy the rubble and the damages caused by the villian and Ladybug uses creation to put them back the way it was. Or maybe when ladybug deevilize the akuma, let the evil energy accumulate and requires Chat Noir to destroy the evil energy or something. I just feel like Chat Noir's powers a bit underwhelming like he is just a normal Miraculous when its supposed to be a special wish granting miraculouses.

personally i felt the "power up" in season 4 with lady bug was a cool idea at first something that would prevent hawkmoth from using the same akumas over and over, I initially thought that would force him to either akumatize new people, thus getting new characters and villains, actually using lila or chloe as villains, or simply use sentimonsters since he fixed the peacock miraculous and rarely used it, imagine if in season 4 gabriel had to rely on the peacock to battle ladybug and chat noir, would that make him giving it up in the finale more of a RISK. Since his akumas were being countered and should he lose the kwami he just gained he'd be at a disadvantage. Nope! just have him get a random power up to counter lady bug's power up thus making it pointless. Heck he could have just had lila stealing the charms from people have her do something its been 2 seasons since she "joined up" with them and isn't used effectively the kwami power ups or even the potions for the other transformations feel like the gimmicks in pokemon they there for a generation and will be dropped for the next one and rarely seen or spoken of again

The writing and powers are even more broken with the different forms or powers the kwamies can take through the potions, like Aqua form, Ice form, and Astro form. When I first saw the several types of potions at the end of Syren, I was really looking forward to seeing them. But I only saw three so far, and I never got to see the grand introduction of the Astro form.

To quote that one tiktok: "Does the show have good writing?" "No." "Oh- are the characters at least well planned?" "No." "How about the art style?" "Definitely no." "Then why do you like-" "I CANNOT STOP WATCHING IT."

I can literally come up with good powers for each one right now. cat: bad luck. turtle: protection should stay. horse: should stay as is. panther: invisibility, duh. and an ability called "pounce" that banishs enemies to the shadow realm once they tackle them. dragon: enhancing others to their perfect state temporarily. bunny: create a small rabbit hole portal to see into the past and future, and can create a pocket dimension "burrow" to store items. ladybug: EXTREMELY GOOD LUCK, duh, and a secondary ability to overhaul this, but not create new probabilities, just enhance them in her favor. dog: ability to find things near them, and an ability called "hunt" which makes them hyperfocus and extremaly capable of attacking *one* target. butterfly: makes improbability, probable. like turning a normal person, into a superpowers one through emotion. peacock: mind control, can play into akumatization. goat: eating or absorbing matter (cuz goats eat everything) and then repurposing said matter, just transmutation. snake: poison others, duh, and corrode/deplete matter on an atomic level, like acid. fox: is fine, illusions are ok. just make them extremaly convincing. bee: gather energy using magic bee drones, that can be used to create yellow matter constructs or heal allies. bull: super strength, duh, the best out of all. and make them have the ability to increase their strength depending on their opponent. pig: same ability as before, with the added ability to eat the desires of others, removing passion from them. monkey: super speed and flexibility. along with gaining the ability to dodge all enemy attacks. rooster: some guy commented the best ability for the rooster is the ability to have the ability their enemies believe them to have.

Honestly, I agree, thats why i dont like Penalteam, why the heck would we have that HUGE team if, at the end off the day, they are just there bacause cat noir conveniently is bad at football... I think that the episode for new heros should focus on them instead of Mari with them as her asistents... I feel like it was better when there were just LB and CN vs Mayura and Hawkmoth even tho i love Kagami, Luka and Juleka because them as superheros are irrelevant. And with the powers... YES, and also i was thinking... When they get the first miraculous back, could the kwami tell Marinette who is Hawkmoth? 🐁

Penalty could have worked but they keep overpowering the villains, they should have given her the power to automatically duplicate or unduplicate depending on how many opponents she’s facing. Hawk Moth’s aneswer to Ladybug’s ever expanding team.

I want to see an episode without marionette , where we focus on some other characters ... We have dealt with mari for so long, and have enough of her I want the focus to be on kagami , alya , nino, max, and Adrien

We saw sofia and rapunzel a lot in their shows, but they were good(kinda with the spin off series of tangled but eh) but Maribitch, yes definitely needs to atleast be like in the side, cause some main protagonists in an episode do get in the side while the other characters get their screen time.

I just realized that the Butterfly miraculous and the Rooster miraculous powers are REALLY similar, like the power of the Butterfly miraculous is to give any super power to another person or even yourself and the Rooster miraculous power is the same thing but you can only give a super power to yourself, like 🤡-

Things I've questioned in this show when I watched it, 1. Why do the miraculouses look similar like couldn't each be given their own power 2. Couldn't Marinette recognize Adrian by his voice 3. Why can't Marinette just let the users keep there miraculous they seem responsible enough to wield it 4. How are these characters not able to recognize each other when they use there miraculous I mean it's just a mask 5. Are the seasons on Netflix even in order? Because it's confusing me even more and more

Yeah,the ML power system is inconsistent and too vague. But, my real issue comes in how the Black Cat and Ladybug Miraculous are treated. Namely,that the Ladybug seems like it's way too OP,while the Black Cat is far weaker than it should be. The show constantly states that the two Miraculous are the equal and opposite of each other in raw power(like the asian concept of ying yang or dualism),but in practice,this doesn't show. The Ladybug does everything from purifying the Akuma to creating things. But the only thing the Black Cat can do,is cause destruction. And 5 seasons in it still seems like it's the only thing it can do and it makes me wonder why the Black Cat is even needed to fight the Akuma with how useless it is. I feel like the way to fix this is to either make it so the two Miraculous are more symbiotic to each other. As in, the wielders need to combine their powers in order to use the more powerful abilities,such as Akuma purification or have it so that the Black Cat is the only thing that can break whatever object the Akuma is hiding in so LB can purify it. And for the power scaling of the rest of the Miraculous? I'd just have so that the Ying yang Miraculous are at the top,the Butterfly,Bee,Turtle,Fox,and Peacock are a step below,but still powerful and the rest are less powerful than those.

Honestly they need to find a way to debuff mari and my thought of doing it without a full reset would be make the acumatized item unbreakable by normal means and we can give chat a power boost having him able to destroy it like you said And also for fixing all the damage they do actually need both chat can destroy what needs to be destroyed (floods fissures anything the akuma creates) and the lady bugs recreate everything that shouldn't have been destroyed

@@TheArtisticAloubell While that works,I more like the idea of making the Ladybug and BC Miraculous more symbiotic with other in terms of using their true potential. Basically,make them function kind of like the Wonder twins or since you're into magical girl shows,like the first few Pretty Cure series where the magical girls were a duo. My idea is that while the LB and BC are powerful on their own.they only unlock the true potential when using them together. This means that akuma purification and the magical fixing wouldn't be just a LB miraculous ability,it would be the result of both the LB and BC working together and combining their powers. And they could also use more LB+BC combo attack by mixing their powers in different way and training to pull off tag teaming stunts. All of this would emphasize that the LB and BC are opposite but equals,but so are their wielders.

I also have a sneaking suspision that suggests the "abstract concepts" were meant to involve character development in the fodder heroes that would thematically circle back to the powers of the Miraculous. Chloé using Subjection to get what she wants in a similar way her mom does, and she tries getting her approval by emulating her. Nino wanting to help protect the well being of his friends and loved ones. Sabrina's undying adoration towards chloé. Alix wanting to evolve as a person and work toward fixing her mistakes. Nathaniel's Passion in his art and creative integrity Nathalie letting her feelings (or emotions) for Gabriel get the better of her, causing her to take too many risks at the cost of her life. Rose wanting to make the best out of whatever little time she has because of her illness, and wanting to leave a positive impression on all her friends fits with the power of Jubilation. Kagami's mom pushing her to be absolutely perfect, especially with her fencing. Heck even Jessica Keyes from the New York special. She is sick of being stuck in the Sidekick role and wants to be free (or liberated) in order to grow as a hero

@@TheArtisticAloubell i think instead of Ladybug giving the miraculous to her friends maybe they should have awakened to the power somehow. There is a BGM song called "I Will Protect the Prized Possessions" from one of my favorite Magicsl Girl Shows, Healin' Good Pretty Cure. I found it online and instead of flashing back to the epic characterizations of the Pretty Cure or their respective Fairy Mascots, the Healin' Animals, I was imagining Marinette and Adrien's friends, against the Villains who were the catalysts to their upgrade to superhero status looking down on them because of their fears, insecurities, or what not, as they overwhelm Ladybug and Chat Noir. I see their friends refusing to leave despite the villains being the Antitheses to their respective character archs. Nino not giving up to protect his friends and the love of his life...Chloé admitting she wants to be a better person, not wanting to use fear to control others...Rose refusing to let Juleka as Reflekta wallow in her guilt after revealing that Rose has a chronic illness... As they stand up to their respective villains, Ladybug's Yo-Yo reacts to their determination, lighting up in the colors of their respective Miraculous. She shouts Miracle Charm! And the Magic Ladybugs don't summon an object, but instead create a magical beacon that summons their kwami in the guise of a normal animal (except for Longg who Manifests as a chinese Dragon) their friend and the Kwami lock eyes as the Kwami forms a contract with the fledgling heroes. Their respective Miraculous forming on their partner as the Kwami shifts into their true form. Cliche but still more epic than how we have been introduced to the new heroes. Also they can still work in the temporary hero aspect from seasons 2 and 3, as the Miraculous is not the real deal and is the Lucky Charm that Ladybug would need to restore things to the way they were before. Once the Miracle Box is in Ladybug's ownership she could distribute the real ones to her friends as they had exhibited strong qualities that connected to the respective Miraculous's Abstract concepts.

I understood that 'creation', 'destruction', 'illusion' are the main powers for miraculous but I think they should also have more powers based on the animals. Like in season 1, catnoir can see in the dark, which makes sense for the cat miraculous (but they did not bring that topic again in later seasons)

Even if Cat Blanc was destroyed after the episode, it would still have consequences. The consequence would be something worse like the miraculous being taken away, or Cat Blanc would return without anything happening. I see Cat Blanc happening again due to everything that Chat has been through, so Cat Blanc would be something that would happen

OMG! Thank you for mentioning the New York problem. I always had a problem with them never explaining why they had so many heroes with so many powers. One major problem I had with the New York special was that it tried to introduce to a whole new world with just a film's worth of time, the canon stated that they went there for French-American Friendship WEEK, as in 7 days, but they were only there for maybe a day or two. In my opinion, the special should've gone on for 7 days and premiered a 22 minute episode a day for that week, we could've seen how America made their power system and why there are no identities, it can even develop the American characters, especially since Zoe, Chloe's half-sister, apparently came from New York, but got introduced out of nowhere. But instead of any of that, we got more Adrienette fanservice, because apparently we don't get enough of it in the actual show. Oh, and speaking of that, have you made a video discussing just how inconsistent Marinette could be when it comes to Adrien? The New York special had her nervous around him at nearly every point when in season 1, they've had full blown conversations, even ending up with Adrien touching her, and her composure didn't drop for a second.

I think you'd either have to change the abstract concept for the bunny or somehow convince everyone that speed matches with evolution. EITHER WAY I DO agree with you X3 The bunny's power could either be speed like you said or multiplication (cuz the mouse miraculous doesn't need two powers). I'm pretty sure they only gave the bunny time powers cuz of Alice in Wonderland and they wanted to be clever.

@@TheArtisticAloubell honestly speed could be related to evolution. The abstract concepts for the miraculouses are so arbitrary that they could've been really creative with them. Speed can be attributed to evolution because the concept of speed was an insanely important thing when the industrial era started to come along. Speed was related to travel, trains and planes that were used for commercial rather than trade. It's like the mark of a new era, which is similar to evolution just not in the scientific definition. Point is is that they really coulda played around with a lot more concepts then having "evolution" be "time travel"

For the snake one I would have gone for the classic, like a sort of mind control based on the music instrument the holder gets or maybe being able to make the enemies go to sleep or become slower and clumsier with the music, or we can go with the analogy of life of when a snakes eats itself, make the holder able to create a sort of time bubble where the holder can do as they wish for as long as the bubble is set in place

You’re not the only one that finds the power system broken. Callimara also called this out and explained in her redesign in how she’d improve on it. I recommend checking out her redesigns if you haven’t. I can’t really do better than Callimara’s interpretation of the powers with Chat Noir and Ladybug, so I would go with her interpretation. For the bunny miraculous, someone already brought the idea of seeing into the future, but not being able to predict the events that lead up to it or if it will ever take place (That’s so Raven vibes), so I will try something different. Perhaps they still have time travel, but they can’t just hop at any point in time or predict multiple events of time. They can only go back as far in time as when they have existed and, when they do go back in time, they will be inside the body of themselves during that exact time period. Think of X-men days of Future Past. Alix would only be able to go back in time so long as she existed, was there when it happened and will only appear in her past body. Also, once the time traveler goes back in time, they are stuck there. They cannot go forward to the timeline they came from and they cannot take any stuff with them. If Alix was to go back in time to before she got her miraculous, then not only would she have to relive her life all over again, but she is stuck without her bunny miraculous until she gets it in the same way as before. Hawk Moth having the bunny miraculous would still have a winning advantage by having it, but at least losing would still be possible, since he would be limited in how he’d use it.

@@TheArtisticAloubell Not to mention if something like Cat Blanc existed, then instead of Alix almost disappearing, perhaps she'd literally be killed by Cat and Ladybug uses the bunny miraculous to go back in time to prevent the events from happening. Instead of telling herself to not write her name down, she'd just simply not write it down and give the gift to Adrian. This would also give Ladybug a motivation for not revealing her identity to Cat Noir or Adrian, while also preventing a time paradox. After all, once you go back in time, you cannot go back and it's expected that you have already made changes, because of going back in time and reliving everything.

Unrelated, but the going back into your own body has also been done before in another Disney show. It was called Best Friends Whenever, with the exception to your idea being that they _could_ go in time before they were born(leaving tachyons behind)

Im 100 percent positive a few of these miraculous powers were made on the fly only to solve the specific situation on one episode I’m looking at you PIG!!!

Also, paradoxically, the ladybug has the power of CREATION, but Astruc said you CAN'T create stuff out of thin air, for instance he said that the protective talismans she makes NEED the energy of a purified akuma in order to be made. WTF, that's not "creation" then!

A fix for the Rooster: It grants the ability to glamour things to look different, however their properties are the same. However, they can only glamour a few things at a time and have an upper limit for how long they can remain glamoured, which shrinks with every new glamour created per transformation.

One thing I think they could've done to balance the powers and conflicts a bit better, maybe even allowing for the temp-heroes to keep their Miraculous, is to make some of the Zodiac Miraculous end up in villain hands. As is, the heroes had 17 out of 19 in their possession, including some of the more OP ones, for 4 seasons; they had way to many easy fixes at their disposal they never used and we can all see it now. They could've easily done the Zodiac Miraculous reveal with some missing missing like the Butterfly & Peacock, and later show them in some villains hands (bonus points for not being Gabe to add to the total threat level). Heck, add in some mind control and you can still have the classmates end up as the Miraculous users; plus add some drama depending on who ends up a hero or a villain; say if Rose becomes a hero as normal, but Juleka gets brainwashed into evil. Actually, putting aside the fanfiction I'm all but writing, I'm willing to bet this is what they're gonna do with season 5, except...oh how to put this politely...dumber and mishandled about as much as they were as heroes. Like Gabe, with all his power, is just gonna hand his Miraculous out one-by-one with Akuma inside them (probably to many of their original users so designing them is easier) to make "stronger Akuma" that'll still get beat in an episode (similar to their treatment as heroes sometimes) so the heroes can collect the Miraculous back like Mcguffins and that's just the new formula, tastes the same as the old formula. Same bad shoe just on the opposite foot.

What bugs me a lot is due to Fu's Miracle Box, the extra Miraculous outside of the Zodiac is supposed to be based on the concepts of Yin Yang and Wuxing (Five Phases). By Nathalie's illness from the Peacock (lung issues, chronic cough), the Peacock SHOULD line up with the element of Metal, which would make Turtle Earth, Bee Fire, Fox Wood, and Butterfly Water due to how the box is set up. And the way the box showed them, a visual hierarchy was shown as Yin Yang being most powerful, followed by Wuxing, followed by Zodiac. But NOTHING comes of it. Also, I almost flipped my lid at the Peacock's powers. Creating life should not be the power of emotion. If you want to create a villain of Emotion allow them to MANIPULATE emotions. That would make the Peacock holder more dangerous if they can take a person's inner emotions and manipulate them to their will. Instead of a Ladybug Sentimonster, allow Mayura to mess with Ladybug's emotions like loyalty and start trying to emotionally pull her to Hawkmoth and Mayura's side. But nope, they squandered that.

Yeah the peacock can create life and superpowers but ladybug can just create objects? Mayura even created an identical version of Ladybug same powers and all. They can't even be destroyed by cataclysm either, the miraculous of destruction can't destroy them.

I feel like the restore function of the lucky charm should have only been available if both cat noir and lady bug use there powers. It would tie into the idea of both being able to recreate reality by having the main characters use it on a smaller scale, it would give cat noir more value as a character and a superhero by not having him easily replaceable by other heroes and be necessary to fully save the day, it would allow the lady big to not feel as powerful while also tying into the whole ying yang aspect as both are necessary for a complete whole, symbolically tying into the heroes themselves are perfect partners and the ideal duo. It works on too many levels to pass it up.

I fully agree with you, system in miraculous is broken as hell to the point where I'm decided wrote by myself comic or book (I don't decide yet) inspired by this show, to fix all this crap

About the power system - I was saying it's broken from the moment Bunny was introduced.And it only got worse with Snake and CURSED BY THE LUCIFER HIMSELF MISTER PIGEON 83(episode where "you can do anything" revealed).So yea - this show is broken into NOTHINGNESS!This powersystem is more broken than Marvel,or DC,or EVEN My Hero Academia!

the messiness of it all HURTS

One of my favorite things is creating magic systems and working out how it works and the rules that apply to it, so seeing a magic system that changes every time we get new lore and more often than not contradicts itself annoys me. Its really not that hard to make some basic ground rules and sting to them

The “purify” thing is the worst power of those Miraculous, what is the connection between that thing and “Creation” (it goes better with the Pig miraculous). I can't stop imagining the scene when Cat Noir is the one who makes the first impact (the Purify thing) and the Lady Bug redo all the damage in (The Origin part 2). Why Thomas doesn’t give Cat Noir the ability which allows him to do something like … Magic Destruction, then he can destroy those “Akumatize” things and let their butterfly free (he still has his cat-like power, but Thomas pretends like they are not even existed). And he does not have his combat role even he is the best student in his fencing class his teacher is a famous fencer (until Kagami exist) and Marinette is still very clumsy, she can’t even keep her cup of milk to be not poured in every breakfast. At least season 4 did it better I hate Lucky Charm is being abused, and Thomas uses Cataclysm's weakness (can not destroy a Sentimonster? ********) VERY WELL for the whole time. And Ladybug now has 4 power and Cat Noir still has 1, ************

It's just opinion but here is my versions of power for each miraculous and power ups (I don't have one for barkk and daizzi so if you have one just answer my comment): Tikky [Creation] - The ability to create objects and non living things / power up is creating living thing and sentient beings Plagg [Destruction] - The ability to destroy physical things / power up is destroy non physical things (example being emotions) Nooroo [Transmition] - The ability to transmit your thoughts to others / power up is transmit others thoughts into the targets mind Wayzz [Protection] - The ability to create a shield that protects from physical harm / power up is the shield protecting from mental harm Trixx [Illusion] - The ability to create illusions that doesn't affect directly the target / power up is create illusions that affect directly the target (example being stop the body of a person tricking them into think they are moving but they are not) Pollen [Subjection] - The ability to control a single target / power up is controlling multiple targets Duusu [Emotion] - The ability to manipulate simple emotions (example being hapiness, sadness or angry / power up is manipulating all types of emotions Mullo [Multiplication] - The ability to create clones of yourself / power up is create clones of others Stompp [Determination] - The ability to resist physical harm / power up is resisting all tipes of harm (example being you get a shot of a pistol in your head still having the bullet in there but still being alive or being extreme exhaust but can still run) Roaar [Exaltation] - The ability to increase physical trait of the target / power up is increasing all traits of multiple targets (doesn't include the user) Fluff [Evolution] - The ability to change your form to a humanoid form / power up is changing your form into any type of living being Longg [Perfection] - The ability to change the state of the person to the physical form within better state before the use / power up is changing into the peak version in all states, physically and mentally Sass [Intuition] - The ability to analise others, like objects or living beings / power up is comprehend all characteristics of the object or living beings Kaalki [Migration] - The ability to create a portal to a single location / power up is create various portals to multiple locations at the same time Ziggy [Passion] - The ability to increase all users physical abilities, but the more time you stay with the increased abilities the more destroys your body / power up is unlimit the increase of the abilities, but it destoys more of the body Xuppu [Derision] - The ability to disturb the body of the target / power up is disturbing all traits of the target Orikko [Pretension] - The ability to deceive people with your voice / power up is manipulating other convincing them with your voice Barkk [Adoration] - don't know Daizzi [Jubilation] - don't know too didn't balance the powers at all, I just put the powers the makes most sense to me, there is still some power that I maintaing because it's too good to not putting it and for last this only includes the core power of the kwami not necessarily the range or the potence of the power, because I would change how the power is limited on the show too, but I'm doing the list for 2 hours and I don't have more patience If you read until here thanks because I'm practicing my imaginating in creating powers Extra content below that I added after the original (yeah still don't have the Bark and Daizzi powers) Variations: Duusu [Emotion] - The ability to transform one emotion into power (example being anger transformed into super strength)/ power up is transform multiple emotions into powers (example being greedy and fear transformed into stealing things from distance and camouflage)

I personally think there should be miraculous, like the first few should stay but pig and beyond are kinda lazy. I mean, seriously? Showing people their ideal day or whatever it is? That's super lazy and most of the time that won't work or it is op because it would stop the acumatized people because they would no longer feel despair. Not to mention that it is SUPER hard to remember the names and powers. This is 1 of the few things I caught up on because when I watch from a young age I get used to the bad logic and I only ever see it as good. I love your videos BTW!♡♡

I also think how terrible the disguise for each power were kinda pointless. I do see that the powers could possibly hid their identities from the public, but how does it hide from other miraculous?

I personally love the miraculouses, my favorite concept of the show, while yes, some of the miraculous are op such as the rooster, why not make it so it you only give yourself really niche specific superpowers (also no using other miraculous powers), makes sense with its whole writing motif. But there's the rabbit, there would probably be a better option on how to nerf the time travel, or heck, make the rabbit not travel through time but slow down or freeze time. The ladybug/goat amd black cat/tiger are understandable on similarity as well, but the Ladybug and Black Cat could get different tiers of upgrades, since they're the most powerful, like making more lucky charms, more magical item/weapon creation, or a wider radius for cataclysm stuff for the cat, while the goat keeps the ordinary object that might not work creation, and the tiger with the powerful force punch.
