Thank you for rescuing and saving her life! Hoping she find a loving family home.

These are precious human beings for helping this dog! I pray this baby gets a happy home with a GPS collar, and no more spelunking.

This freezes my soul, because the automatic thought is how many animals have fallen in caves, and not been rescued. God Forbid any are trapped right now. It's the stuff of nightmares.

This. I'm in rescue, this thought paralyzes me. Even worse, how many of them were deliberately dropped into caves by soulless humans who could've taken them to a shelter, but instead wanted them to die slow, horrific, painful deaths instead. Have to imagine her owners at least knew she'd fallen in, because how would she have even gotten to that area, let alone a cave, if she hadn't been brought there by people. And if she fell in by accident, wouldn't those people have called for help.... it's crap like this that makes me despise humanity.

I have watched a lot of spelunking videos where the cave entrance is just some 1 to 2 ft hole in the ground obscured by grass and bushes, and every time I hear about somebody vanishing without a trace I'm like "they fell down a hole in the woods somewhere never to be seen again" .__.

As hard as it is, you can not think like that. It will drive you crazy. Every time thoughts like that start in my brain I'm doing everything I can to divert my thoughts elsewhere.

If the person who's supposed to be her guardian does come forward, they better have a damn good reason as to how she ended up in that cave. Otherwise, she needs a better loving forever home. She seems very sweet! Automatically returning a dog to their home shouldn't be an assumption unless there's an extenuating circumstance.

@3ktbs can you please update with information how to adopt her if someone is interested? It would be a shame to have saved her only for her to die in a shelter from euthanasia. The shelters are so full now.
