Miracle In Izmir: The Asa K. Jennings Story

Another amazing example of Obscure Christian History. In 1922, the city of Smyrna (Izmir) in modern day Turkey, almost entirely burned to the ground as the Turkish military under Mustapha Kemal Pasha drove the post-World-War-1 Greek army from Asia Minor. If not for the efforts of a Methodist missionary named Asa K. Jennings, an additional 350,000 Greek citizens might have died in the city.

Clearly you have been developing a brand new upgrade of cohesive story-telling, conversationally sharing places, stories, food, and sometimes tour guide. The reality of moral and spiritual choices impacting the people then and us today, is happily not lost on you as you pass it on to us. Thanks and God bless, Mark. I hope you are well.

The Turks still refuse to accept that they committed genocide. Indeed, they actually celebrate this event.
