I wouldn’t recommend it. But…if you’re going to… Determine the Thread Type: Most modern military gas masks use a 40mm NATO threaded connection. Make sure your gas mask has this type of connection and that any adapters or hoses you buy are compatible with it. Purchase a Suitable Adapter: You'll need a specific adapter that connects the 40mm thread of your gas mask to a hose. This adapter will replace the canister filter and will provide a way to connect the mask to a long hose. Acquire a Compatible Hose: After the adapter, you'll need a hose that's long enough for your intended use. One end will connect to the adapter on your mask, and the other will connect to the gas tank or external air source. Regulator and Air Source: If you're connecting to a compressed air tank, you'll need a regulator. This device will control the flow of air from the high-pressure tank to a breathable and safe pressure level. Ensure the air in the tank is breathable air (like compressed atmospheric air), not just any gas. Safety Checks: Check for leaks by listening and feeling along the hose and connections. Ensure the air flow is consistent and the regulator is functioning correctly. Always use equipment rated for breathing. This is not a place to cut corners or use parts not designed for life support. Training: Before using this setup in any real-world or hazardous environment, practice with it. Learn to connect and disconnect everything quickly, understand how to adjust airflow, and ensure you're comfortable with the system. Maintenance: After each use, make sure to inspect all components for wear, damage, or degradation. Regularly check hoses for cracks, connectors for wear, and the regulator for proper function. Clean and store everything properly. Warning: This is a high-risk setup if not done correctly. Using a gas tank for breathing requires knowledge and understanding of the risks involved. Improper setup can lead to serious injury or death due to asphyxiation or inhalation of contaminants. If you're not trained or familiar with this kind of equipment, then there’s a high chance you’re fucked in a scenario where you need it.

Currently, the CM-8M is undergoing a redesign of a small part. It was found that the inner oro nasal cup, while functional, did not fit some users' faces as tight. We are fixing this now as we speak and conducting in house quality control test. Once this is done, it must be mass produced at the factory. If everything is in order, the mask will be available in approximately 2-3 months.
