I bought a couple of 360's (2005 & 2008 models) --- both came without AV cable or PSU. Ordered a replacement PSU --- a later model came (175 W for Opus/Falcon) = Refund + Keep it.

So I think what's happening is that the caps since haven't been turned on in 5 years and before that even longer the caps haven't been used that much, So what I think is going one here is that the electricity thats being powered to the board is power the caps up again and since they have blown before, every time you unplug it for a long period of time the caps will discharge and take a while to recharge. I can't really explain them blowing though.

I have a 2006 xenon with a blades dash if that suffices.. it's normal and no RROD.. not a rare console and has original Grey bezels, isn't nothing special.. I wish this console was on blades but someone put a disc in it with the dashboard update and Installed it to play the game unfortunntely..

PLEASE replace those caps. Leaking caps can cause corrosion and ruin the board. Sizzling is likely caused by capacitor electrolytes bursting thru the top of the caps.

I have a Xbox 360 from Dec 2 2005. I made a video on it. I bought it off of eBay as “not working”. Said it had red ring but when I turned it on, it booted right up! It’s also on NXE dashboard. Still has the warranty seal on it. I originally bought it to replace the shell on my personal Xbox 360 because it’s in pretty bad condition and yellowed. But since it’s actually working I don’t want to open it so I’m trying to resell it on eBay. I ended up buying yet another Xbox 360 from 2005 that’s also “red ringed”. Oct 24 2005 to be exact. It hasn’t arrived yet so idk if it’s actually working or not.

Pardon? Soldering has been exhibited many times in previous videos such as my RGH Xbox 360 and Super nintendo resistor and diode replacement so you're comment is pretty irrelevant and incoherent. As for who I inspired.. read my comments I'm surprised I inspire people myself.

@@ArcadeMachine15 I'm just saying, it's pretty obvious you are jealous of Voultar's huge following. Why not just focus on doing what you can do to improve your channel? Invest in a better camera, better lighting, improve your editing skills. All that can go a long way for your channel. Far better than going to someone's channel and hating them out of jealousy.

You need to replace that capacitor. The console may be in great condition, but it's completely worthless if it's broken. To add insult to injury, keeping faulty capacitors in there and powering it on will only damage it worse over time. Especially if the caps are venting, you're gonna rust the heII out of the console.
