So I had no choice but to give the tickets to a coworker. If I had been smarter, I would've let somebody wheel me to the concert in a wheelbarrow. Hindsight is 20/20.

R play there have been hacks in every decade of music. I cannot think of a decade where there wasn't some fakers don't believe that lie. I grew up in the nineties and there were tons of fake artists around even the eighties and sixties they had some flakes. It's just that music today has gotten so bad that the music we considered bad in the nineties sounds good today.

About time. I love Mint Condition, especially Stokely the lead singer. They are even better in concert. They play all their own instruments. Stokely is a Musician, writer and singer. He also went solo a few years ago. One of the former members is Toni Braxton’s ex-husband.

Keri, the keyboard player with the light skin tone is Toni's ex. He left the group for a few years after they married to become her musical director, but he is back with the group now.

Stokely baaad! Boy can saaang! His voice is proper unique tho. There's a track he did with kelly Price - Not My Daddy. The blend of Kelly and Stokely's voices on that track is like standing at next to Victoria Falls for the first time (or what I imagine standing nxt to Victoria Falls for the first time must be like.😂 - Sheer Dominance man...sheer dominance).

Pretty Brown Eyes is my favorite song from them. The live version is just as good as the studio because Stokely is just an insanely good vocalist. Fun fact: Prince was a huge fan of theirs (he was always a fan of a true musician)and Toni Braxton’s ex husband was in this band. BAND they are. They are a Minneapolis based band who features Stokley on lead vocals as well as drums when the band first started. This band also features Toni Braxton’s Ex husband on keyboards. Stokley also sang back up for many of Prince’s studio projects. Stokley also released 2 solo albums as well.

RIP Michelle Thomas. Had no idea she was in this video, I remember her from Family Matters. Such a beautiful lady inside & out 😢 And love Mint Condition! I would suggest Pretty Brown Eyes by them next. Sooo good. Literally, they're "The Definition of a Band" . Each are masters in their instruments and have a stellar album called the name above. These are musicians musicians...meaning that the most seasoned musicians look up to Mint Condition as their high water mark. They will never be as heralded as their talents because their depth I'd too hard for regular audiences to absorb completely.

Thats Michelle Thomas from Cosby show and Family Matters - unfortunately she died in 98 I think. actually not too long after this - maybe a year or so after this

I watch a lot of reactions. You just gave one of the best lyrical breakdowns I’ve heard. Jack is the man 💯 This song was definitely unique in an era when so much music was about sex. It was a bold statement to say nah, ima be faithful.

Even better are their live shows where they really branch away from the r&b box they were forced into for commercial success. You get to see them flow seamlessly from jazz to funk to rock to reggae to ska to r&b sometimes all within the same song.

Mint Condition is one of the baddest bands out there. They are incredible, especially live. Stokley (pronounced like Stokely Carmichael), is just a pure tenor and he never disappoints.
