I don't know why this video doesn't have Millions of views. BEST version I have EVER heard!!!! .....both for the music ....and the singing. ( I have watched this sooo many times). I actually think that this is the best of ALL Puddles is. All the things he does with his voice here and his interaction with the audiece!!!! I only wish the camera was closer when this was made. It must have been great to see this LIVE!!!

One of my all-time favorite songs. He kind of messed up the lyric when he tried to get the audience member to sing, though. He sang the line that person was supposed to sing.

The audience is supposed to repeat what he sings. Often it would start simple build up then jump to a long long run of scat that the audience would not be able to repeat. i read a piece in Reader's Digest where a guy said when he and his brother were kids they practiced for months before a Danny Kaye concert and were the only two in the audience that could repeat the last line.

It's not the scat line. In the third verse, he sang the wrong line then panicked and gave the mike to the audience to make it into a joke.

This may not be the best video but it is the ONLY video of Puddles doing this song and his voice is AMAZING here!!!!!! (So is his interaction with the audience)!!!!!! Also, thanks to the person who took this video and had the courage to post it, even though it wasn't a perfect video.

I know this song well, but I was wondering why poor min? Yeah, she might have been a lady of the evening, and Smokey her pimp who was cokey (crack is wack) and he brought her to Chinatown to do opium, but: He gave her dozen course meals, A diamond car with platinum wheels, A million dollars of nickels and dimes, It doesn't sound too bad! P.S. Now I realize that she was dreaming of the King of Sweden giving her those things. I also read he had longer versions where she and Smokey get arrested and he bails himself out and leaves her in. They put her in an insane asylum. Poor Min, poor Min, poor Min!
