I have the exact same speech impediment as Mel did. I'm a musician so he always inspired me - he was my hero. I got to meet him a couple times, he was encouraging to me. He was a great man. RIP Mel

I wouldn't call it a speech impediment if it doesn't impede your life. I stutter too and it hasn't impedeed mine unless I wanted to be an air traffic controller or police officer.

Such a fun loving beautiful spirit and beautiful voice.

Years ago I remember seeing an album cover of Mel Tillis with M-M-M-Mell license plate. I watched him on several talk shows where he talked about his stuttering. It was part of his show and gimmick. So in 1987 when I bought my first car I asked for Personal License plates with FFFred. I stutter too. My stuttering bothered me until a girl from school said my stuttering was cute. After that it was my gimmick.

Nina G Ok good. Well I’m a old journalist and a stickler for details. This was filmed in 2015 at one of Mel’s last shows and were inside the conference room at such and such hotel in such and such city.

Really,is it actually at/past point where everything fair game here now? If you don't include Bands'/Movie releases&particular pages subscribed I doubt you'd find 25% that remained? That's appropriately titled relative to reality&facts anymore. When the actual&appropriate title is basically there in very information Nina G. "Minnie Pear encouraged Mel to interact w/audience too" &like to point out. He didn't do it simply because she told him too?!? He did it because trusted her&guts to do it too. At time you'd find % people w/down syndrome still placed in asylums. Hell,before&for awhile after Mel was born they were majority population in few places. And those w/various degrees stutters too in wake some so-called reviews&actually trials that lit heightened period of fear few are even aware of anymore. >>THIS ISN'T A DEBATE OR DISCUSSION OR REALM WHERE % MISUNDERSTANDING EXIST WHEN NINA G.
