Omaha was a very good team, out of the strongest conference in the West , playing their best hockey. I am a Gopher fan but this Omaha team scared me as much if not more than the BU team we will now face. Style wise this game was not in the Gophers comfort zone. BU is a lot like Michigan, young and star studded. BU has not faced a team this year quite like the Gophers. The Gophers big and mobile defensive corp will pose some major challenges for the smaller fast BU forward lines. I see an equally tight game that should be "Close" (pun intended). :) It will come down to which goalie steals a couple of chances away. Don't discount the motivation of the Gopher upperclassmen to get to St Paul for a final chance at the National Title in front of the Home crowd. The Sioux Falls arena will be at least 3/4 Gopher fans. It stacks up on paper to be one of the best if not the best games in the entire tourney this year. The Snuggerrud, Moore, Pitlick line will be a major factor along with Sam Rinzel and Cal Thomas defensively.

​@@GenHornheadalways annoyed me that college hockey is so bottom line in the world of college sports. I am a Michigan fan and have been going to games since the 1970's, so I do have a bias about its lack of coverage. But I get it, it's a low budget sport compared to FB and basketball. However on the flipside, the coverage would be better if more of the bigger schools were involved, however, you probably wouldn't have schools like Omaha or RIT or Quinnipiac or Ferris State playing. So there does have to be a balance I guess.
