Its biblical and Hebraic to hash out truths together that's how we grow the pastor should encourage his church to study and search out matters of conflict or difference for themselves. Im saddened when God's people veer nervously away from dialogue or challenging discussions. This is how we grow and learn

By the way. Roman Catholicism doesn’t just teach some different things on secondary issues. They teach a different gospel!!! The Council of Trent: Session 6 Cannon 9 “If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema.”

I keep telling people that the Catholic Church is not Christian. I lived in a country where Catholicism was rooted in the culture and it has caused so much deception leading to so much evil. I don’t hate the people in the Catholic Church but I hate the teachings and the ideas of the Catholic Church which are counter to everything the Bible teaches us. They teach that sin is only forgiven by human works (confession to a priest plus penitence), prayer to idols (idolatry) is tolerated and encouraged. They teach that Christ is not enough. Not to mention how their entire organizational structure makes child abuse extremely easy and they protect the abusers! I understand that abuse can happen even in congregations with decent people but they create an environment where abuse can more easily occur. If they cared they’d restructure the entire church making it near impossible for adults to be alone with children. It’s by design and on purpose. I do care about people in the Catholic Church and I believe the majority are great people and they deserve God‘s love. I refuse however to speak in a positive light about the organized religion called Catholicism.

I disagree with many subjects that Bethel teaches but it's ok with me. I am not afraid people with different views. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Philippians 3:15‭-‬16 ESV I hold onto victorious eschatology. The church global will be victorious against the tides of evil. The church will be going from glory to glory so much so it ain't matter about the anti christ and end of the world fear-mongerings.

wow Dan...the catholic church isn't heretical?! Cannot believe you said that! 2 John 9-11 9 Anyone who does not remain in Christ’s teaching but goes beyond it does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home, and do not greet him; 11 for the one who greets him shares in his evil works.

I really appreciate Bill BUT I must totally disagree with his line of thinking here. We have been warned that there will be teachings that are actually "doctrines of demons" referred to by 1 Timothy 4:1 that will be introduced into the church. These teachings will have the potential to cause sheep to leave the faith(apostasy) Why would you let any teacher bring in and teach doctrines to your sheep that are unbiblical in your opinion? As a pastor I ABSOLUTLY encourage that these ideas and teachings be discussed Why? So that none of our sheep get deceived, misled and fall away. However when we give these people a stage and a microphone what we end up doing inadvertently is giving them and their ideas weight. We also end up lending our authority to them and their doctrines voluntarily or not. We as teachers will be judged more harshly for what comes out of our mouths, but I believe we also will be judged for what comes out of the mouths of the people that we allow to speak from the pulpit that God has untrusted to us. If you read this I love you Bill! 😊 Be blessed all 🙌

Hello Sean! How would you handle the ideas and discussions taking place as a pastor? From what I hear Bill saying- they strive to walk in wisdom by sometimes asking teachers not to speak on certain topics or even them not speaking on certain topics/ideas when they are guest speaking. in your perspective, is there a difference between disagreement over practices vs disagreement over doctrine as it relates to this topic and the partnership with others? I do certainly understand the dangerous aspect of giving credence to their ideas/thoughts by simply giving them the stage. Is it possible to teach your congregation and lead them to discern for themselves so that when these moments happen, you can have a conversation? In the circles I grew up in it was very exclusive and even reclusive when it came to partnering. Even small minor practice-related things were enough to cause criticism and a cutting off of fellowship. There was so much focus on creating a bubble around the congregation rather than a foundation of how to think and how to approach knowing who God is/His word. You can watch Bill's other video about teaching people how to think vs what- I believe there is a lot of wisdom in this approach and produce individual thinkers rather than robotic Christians who simply follow what has been taught.

@@thegreatleviathon My dear brother in Christ 🙌 I agree, from what I see Bill does strive to walk in wisdom. As believers should as well considering it is the "principle thing" Proverbs 4:7 I have been greatly blessed by his ministry 😇 However I do believe (and this is just my opinion) that when someone like Bill has been "snubbed" so much by the Christian community he might have a tendency to open his pulpit just to show how much he is not like the ones who continue to reject him. It's almost like he is on the other side of the ditch and will let people preach from his pulpit to make up for the "bubble" churches like you came from 😊 When it comes to partnering with other churches we are all one body with one goal "to seek and save that which is lost" I am all for joint endeavors to pursue this end. However this does not mean I will nessasarly let them preach or teach from my pulpit. Nor would I ever expect to preach from theirs, unless invited 😉 How we usually teach our congregation is during our Bible studies. We never really plan anything in particular for the study but just let Holy Spirit guide the conversation. We open these studies up for discussions we encourage our members to bring in hard questions and different opinions. These are the opinions and ideas that rarely get discussed in an open forum because they have the potential to generate strife. We always finds very interesting and sometimes very controversial topics to discuss. 😇 But because these discussions are done with a group of beleivers that are pursuing Christ wholeheartedly and that love each other and love the Lord the studies are always sharpening and edifying. This way like you said we learn how to think and discuss issues and how to discern right from wrong teachings. We are not being placed in a "bubble" but at the same time were not allowing just anyone preach just anything from our pulpit. Once again there is a difference between partnering with other bodies of beleivers for ministry, fundraising or outreach and giving others with views we don't agree with access to the weight of our pulpit. I hope and pray I was as articulate and clear with my response as you were with your question 🙏 Be blessed my brother in Christ

Paul warned the church about different gospels(Gal and 2 cor) He was real serious about it. Please study the doctrine of the Catholic Church and what you must DO to be saved according to their system. We can’t put up with another Jesus or a different gospel. I am not trying to be mean spirited but these guys should know this stuff as pastor’s. There is NO way the apostle Paul would let a catholic priest preach in one of his churches.

@Toño Hdz it’s not just Bible truths it’s the gospel. They teach a false faith/works gospel also purgatory. As well as praying to Mary and the Saints. But the main issue is the gospel. And that is not a secondary issue like your church sprinkles where another submerges as baptism.

Many Catholics haven't been born again just like many Protestants, but there are many Catholics who have been born again. There may be a huge difference in doctrines, but the Catholic church has such a reverence and fear of the Lord. Many of us could learn a lot from them in this area. Check out Brennan Manning.
