i believe its based off the length from spawn beach, map is cut into thirds - t1 being spawn beach, t3 being the farthest away, and t2 being the inbetween

​@GermanWordz it's based off monuments. Tier 1 = oxums, lighthouse, etc. Tier 2 = water treatment, arctic, train yard, etc. Tier 3= launch, mil tuns, arguably missile silo even though it's a blue card puzzle

Imo, its good for early and recycling but not having a green card makes it really weak.

the map is split into tiers, the lowest tier is spawn beach. Map tiers dictate the types of monuments that can spawn there (EX: launch is never by spawn beach) but also influence the quality of drops in monuments like mining outpost

the map is split into 3 tiers, with the spawn beach being the bottom tier. Higher tier areas of the map (further from spawn beach) are where higher tier monuments can spawn, but if lower tier monuments spawn there they also will have higher crate spawns. It's really noticeable in places like mining outpost or zip lines where you see them all over the place but only sometimes notice mil crates.

what is the mod for building in monuments

so the location of the mining outpost may change the quality of the boxes spawned?

yup! the map is actually split into multiple tiers, and even low tier monuments will have better spawns when theyre in higher tier parts of the map

im not 100% sure of all methods, but high tier they tend to be far away from the spawn areas, and near to late game monuments like excavator and launch site

It is a shame that this game allows ESPing all the loot on the map 2nd grade easy. Bases are pointless.

@sac5608 Unfortunately, the way the game is programmed. All Rust servers send **ALL** loot types and loot location data to **ALL** clients (i.e. players on the server) at all times. Regardless of loot owner, line of sight, or distance from the loot. Since that information is sent to every client. That makes it extremely easy to find, use, and take advantage of. It makes it impossible to hide your base or anything inside of your base. The game code needs to be fixed so that stored loot data is no longer sent client-sided until it is in line-of-sight of the player.

Thats an over used camping spot. Your time would be better spent farming your way to bandit and putting it all on 20

I lived next to mining outpost on official and during a full month I never saw a green box, I've seen green boxes at mining outposts loads of times before but for some reason that one mining outpost never spawned greens.

It matters which biome you are in. Green forest is shit crates, desert is slightly better, snow mining outpost spams military crates.

@@3000shifty You bet, not even Sig knows this apparently. It’s not the distance from spawn, it’s totally the weather biome. My 8,000 hours heavily support this conclusion.

“Forklift”… then proceeds to jump on top of a reachtruck..
