😂 Not sure if you could tell, but they were on skip rental scooters that top out around 15mph or so. I just like making them feel jealous so they'll buy their own better scooter in the future. 😬

Very cool perspective! It allows people to see everything that can come up during a ride. I stick to the bike lanes as 25mph is not fast enough to feel comfortable in the road for me.

You should definitely make more raw footage vids, i would love that more than ever

im all for this video and thank you for it cuz its awesome! but come on man, you cant just blow past stop signs and red lights. puts too much at an unnecessary risk including you and other around. you CANNOT assume the road is clear with just a quick glance. just lookin out for you and others on the road. its the same reason why you have all that gear on, you just dont know what could happen. we know how crazy city drivers are haha. other than that, youve pretty much got me hooked on this beast of a scooter.

That’s a fair point. Personally I still think that at a three way intersection if there’s no pedestrians, crossing is an ok thing to do. This scooter is awesome, you’re gonna love it if you get it.

What is the regulation on this type of vehicles with such power in your country? you are from the US right? Here where I live in Spain do not allow driving with electric vehicles that exceed 30km / h. With how beautiful it is that people go on roller skates, electric unicycle skateboards simply contemplating the landscape and without polluting. Thanks, I was just borrowing the Dualtron X to make some videos on, but it’s an awesome machine for sure. We have a great electric vehicle scene here, and technically we have about the same speed limits as Spain, but it is not really enforced here. I’m sure it will be enforced some day in the future though, for now we will enjoy the freedom.

Cool video! It's nice to see raw footage too!! I know this is gonna sound odd but where did you get the handle bar extender for your scooter? The because of the design of my handlebar, I can't use regular extenders. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Thanks for stopping by! Actually this was just the stock handlebar set, but I have seen people do some custom work to extend them. For most scooters I usually recommend just swapping the full bar out.

This scooter can probably get near 100 miles at slower speeds, but maxing it out I'll get about 40-50 miles or so. It's got a huge battery for sure.

Hey, sorry - this got caught in the YT possible spam filter. I'm familiar with Dualped, but I haven't tried their scooters myself yet. The performance for the price makes it very tempting indeed, but I have heard of some stories of them breaking down. I can't really recommend their brand until I've tried it myself, so be cautious.

Will only be a matter of time before you guys get scooters banned in your city blowing through red lights and taking up street lanes like motorcycles.. Love your videos but you need to think about it. Other countries are limited to 15mph because of this type of riding.

*I love SCOOTERS! Love them! But... After $4,000 and up to $7,000 for others.. My brain goes.... There are a TON of things i can buy for this amount of money! Even an actual car or a sweet down on a $40,000 Truck!?!?! I hope the Popularity of these makes them less cost prohibitive in the near future. Scale is what will make monsters like these cost 30, 40, or even 50% less without sacrificing quality. I remember when my father told me computers and red laser pointers where Insanely expensive! Haha Now you can buy Laptops for next to nothing and lasers at CVS!* Lol 😂

Yes and no. It’s fast as hell and the main frame and suspension are top notch - those feel like they belong on a $7k scooter, but the loose stem and handlebars kind of ruin it, since they are not firm and the main thing you “feel” during a ride. Am I going to get it? Probably. Could it be better? Definitely.

Steven Marquez for sure, diminishing returns at the high end mean that you definitely get less bang for your buck. You can still have a ton of fun on lots of alibaba scooters. I did a video on the qiewa, and would like to do more like that.

Well this scooter is closer to $6k 😅 Not cheap, but I agree the stem noise is not ideal. I think minimotorsusa is looking at ways of addressing this, by tightening everything up.

@@AlienRides The creeking is due to things not being lubed. Take all bolts of then step etc and lube it all up good and tighten all back up. Should also lube where metal touches metal. It can happen on road bikes too. Just has another watch, seems like plastic creeking.

I've seen a ton of el scooter videos now, and it's just crazy to see how comfortable people get cruising in 70 kmh with little to no protection without a slightest thought of max impact is almost a 100% certain fatal accident, if not for you then maybe for other people. Just sliding on asphalt and concret without protection in 70 kmh will skin you alive. I just bought my El scooter that im waiting to get in august, and here in Norway any electric unicycle, skateboard, hoverboard and bicycle is limited to 20 kmh, I agree it is a tad slow, but i Rather go on a el scooter 20kmh consistently for 20 miles then jogging that distance. Anyway im going to use full protection for both impact or sliding even though im just going at 20. Or else.... I do have the option to remove the speed limiter and let the air flow through my hair and risk not getting caught by the police.....#YOLO!

@@AlienRides plus mines max speed is 41mph I heard theres a way to increase the scooter to 87km/h if you disconnect the speed limiter is that true?

X2K9 you might have max speed unlocked already if you can go 41 on it, not sure if you can increase that.range extenders are typically just batteries. I’m not sure which one you’re referring to, but it could work if the voltage is the same.

Given the speed in the bike lanes, do you ever worry about being doored (I could imagine people underestimating how fast a scooter could go)? In NYC, even with slower/heavier bike share bikes, it has almost happened a couple times (I am aware of my surroundings and have ridden in different conditions/more nimble bikes before)

Yes, extremely scared of getting doored, has happened to many of my friends. I like to think that I'm extremely aware of what's going on, and typically slow down a bit when in the bike lane than when in the road, but I'm sure it will happen some day. Stay safe out there.

Our primary SF group these days is inclusive to all electric vehicles actually. I don’t think we have a local scooter-only group because they all come to this one. Would love to do some extreme distance/off-reading sometime though with a scooter crew.

Hey there. What is the power % set on your DTX when you rode it? I just received mine, and at 60% power and step 2/3 power, the I can barely hang on! xD

Barely being able to hang on is the best part 😅 I ride mine at 100% power, mode 3, fast acceleration because I love the feeling, but it's quite scary. Whatever speed your comfortable with is probably the best, and also more safe. Ride safe man, I love the DTX.

@@AlienRides Thanks! I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. I need to pick up a good helmet and some pads as well. Any helmet types/brands without the double D ring you can recommend? 100%?? I think I'd need the seat for that...and maybe a makeshift seat belt. :D

@@twistedjiji I'm not sure what the best helmet brand is, but a full face helmet is definitely recommended for the DTX. Was that downhill when you hit 102 mph? Wow!!!

Also I've been reading in the last few weeks that some people that own the high and doldrums can't even get him serviced in some parts of the country that worries me a lot when you're paying thousands of dollars for a high end scooter

It’s a valid concern, but definitely depends on where you buy from. You want to buy from a reputable reseller who is known for having great warranties. The company I borrow these from will definitely get you parts or help service scooters (link in description).

Nice ride..I haven’t ride that X before but I own a Yume M11…within my weight I could max out at 57mph. Kinda scary lol.

What camera did you film on, the picture looks great? Is it the GoPro 7 Black?

Yes, this was filmed using a chest mounted GoPro Hero 7 Black. Overall pretty good quality for such a small package.

Nice video brother. Brother what is that noise is that coming from the stem sounds like a crinkly kind of noise. Anyway of lubing that to get rid of that noise

Yeah, I believe many dualtrons have that issue. You can kind of fix it with lithium grease. 👽🖖

The Dualtron X is definitely a pretty crazy machine, but maybe even too big for commuting, unless you have a large area to store it at work. If you unlock the speed you can potentially go 60 mph. You can find them to pre-order here: minimotorsusa.com?aff=7
