Now I know how Pokémon trainers survive travelling around a region with only a backpack. Thanks for the tips.
Some of my key travel items. - White leather tennis shoes. They work great for everything from the trail to the club. No need for separate workout and dress shoes. The leather is important because it cleans far easier. - Dark blue (or black) jeans. Also fit into every activity category. - Silkie shorts. Used by the US Marines, they are perfect as underwear, workout shorts, or swim trunks. Plus, they are super compact/light-weight and dry quickly. Those, one Oxford shirt, four t-shirts (white, blue, black, charcoal), one pair of shorts, one pair of khaki pants, a light jacket, a sweater, a belt, flip flops, and Marino socks were enough for me to live comfortably out of a personal item for almost an entire year without ever feeling like I was missing anything.
youre the first person to mention bringing some sort of bed lining, especially if you are someone who is concerned about unclean stuff. I never even thought of that, pretty smart if you are into that.
Crocs over sadals and flipflops. Bit bulkier but weigh nothing, float, can be hiked in, worn with socks, wiped dry and still protect your toes.
Good Tips, I've been ruff traveling with just a backpack for over 50 years. I discovered fishing shirts many years ago. They are cheap and will dry overnight when hand washed. I get both long and short sleeve and they have great velcro pockets for passport and credit cards. The last ones I got even had a zipper pocket.
Thanks for the info and all of your videos. I am going to be traveling a lot through Europe this year and you have helped me feel a lot more prepared for it.

Thanks, Michael! Hope you have an awesome time!
I think bringing your iPad Mini is still a good idea. Let's say your phone gets stolen/lost. Your iPad Mini can still get you out of trouble since the bank and email app are the same as in your phone. Just leave your tablet in your hotel/hostel as well as a debit card
Great video, I also want to travel Europe next year and your channel helps me a lot in my prep !
Love the idea of a portable clothesline!
Thanks Collin for the great tips! Heading to Europe for a month next week. This video helps a lot! Cheers
Great video, just what I’ve been looking for you. Thank you!
Great video! Your videos are really helping me with planning my trip!
Thank you for sharing - great advice!
If you're traveling in the winter, a puffy hoody is nice.
Yas! To only bringing your favorite clothing staples
Thanks for the info! Very helpful!
Thanks very helpful information.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Such a thoughtful, practical video. Great useful list, I too love wool undergarments/socks because they just don't get smelly. 😊

How did it go?
Liked and saved vid.
Please expand on your thoughts about which shoes to bring
Great job thanks. How did you pack all that in the 30L pack?
For me I find a wool or bamboo full zip top or casual hoodie is essential
Life is easy living in one bag 😊
Hey Thanks for the video! I was wondering if I can chat with you as I have some questions about going around Europe!
great videos thanks! I see you ditched to money belt, how would you recommend keeping passport, cash and cards safe?
A blow up travel pillow
Bloke you can get a 5 in one shower gel hair face and shave does it all.
Can you post the link to your toiletry bag. Been looking for a solid one for a while.
Why did you get rid of the money/passport belt? I was thinking about getting one for my first trip next year
How did you deal with keeping electronics dry while on the trail?
Where did you purchase your travel clothes line, i've been looking around but have had no luck, any help would be appreciated!
Good video, but only 30L is unimaginable, I just failed to pack even one week clothes with a 34L backpack. lol
Where did you get the clothes line?
During which season did you travel?
Can you send me the link of the travel clothes line?
Pretty good list but I disagree about the jeans. Jeans were made for cowboys and miners. They're hot in summer, a real pain to wash and get dry quickly and in some areas, I'm thinking parts of Spain and Italy, I've seen people refused admission to places when they've been wearing jeans or shorts. Better to have some lighter weight, semi-smart pants - maybe lighter weight chinos? - or ones with zip-off legs. Try and find things that have more than one use; a lightweight peshtemal towel can be used as a towel, scarf, sweat rag, sheet, pillow wrap, sarong for when you come out of the shower, picnic rug - you can even tie one up for an emergency shopping bag! They weigh about 300g for a 1.8 x 0.9m one.

I'm from Spain and I cannot think of a place you would visit while travelling where you can’t enter with jeans, maybe in some cathedrals if you are wearing really short shorts they might tell you you can’t enter, but that’s it. But I agree wearing jeans during summer in Spain in certain places it’s not the best idea cause it gets really hot
Was a pen and pencil ever mentioned?
How much did your fully loaded bag weigh?
Do most hostels provide towels/washcloths?

In my experience, most hostels in Europe don’t provide free towels, but you can rent one for a few euros. If you want to save money you can always bring a fast dry towel, they usually don’t take a lot of space
