Heading back to Japan 🥹! Come pack with me as I share how I pack for the cold weather ❄️. I used to be an overpacker, so I’ve been toning it down a lot these past few years 😅

I spent 5 days of japan in winter comfortably with just 3 sets of shirt+pants, 1 shirt for sleeping, 1 winter jacket, 1 wool sweater, 2 pairs of socks, 3 sets of undergarment, 1 pair of shoes and tote bag. My wallet only consist of just 1 multi currency master card and cash, nothing else and the size of my wallet is no bigger than my palm. I don't have a bag for specific stuff, just lump all the small items into a plastic bag. I didn't even bring stuff like gloves, toiletries and comb (Hotel provide everything i need), water bottle (just buy a plastic bottle from convenient store and reuse them for the whole trip), moisturizer (buy in japan), portable charger, umbrella (lucky it didn't rain for all 5 days), scarf, heatech. Overall my bag (Not luggage) only weight less than 4kg.

I just came back from Japan three weeks ago. It's so convenient there! The hotel had EVERYTHING. You don't need toiletries and laundry detergent. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner are all full size ones and they're really good! They also provide all the skincare products you may need: makeup remover, face wash, toner, essence, face mask, face lotion, face cream etc. and again, they're really good! I didn't even really use the ones I brought LOL! Their washing machines come with laundry detergent so you won't need laundry detergent (it says on the machines). I frigging love how convenient Japan is! My only regret is that I overpacked my clothes so I didn't get to buy all the stuffs that I wanted to buy because I worried about my baggage being overweight. Urgh! My brother went the following week after I came back and he didn't bring all his toiletries and not overpacked after I shared with him my experience. He had lighter baggage so he would have room for more stuffs when he went shopping!

@@idaliadeyaniracantuguerrer7829 I stayed at different hotels during my trip. All of them provided the basic necessities. I think majority of the hotels in Japan are pretty much providing the same items. My brother came back from his trip and he told me his hotels had most of the items I mentioned in my previous comment. If you need something, it doesn't hurt to check with front desk and see if they have it. They're usually very helpful!

I disagree. One pair of shoes and some sets of warm clothes, basic makeup and minimum liquids, no (hair) tools or a bunch of accessories... Minimalism doesn't have to mean one change of clothes inside one backpack. That's silly and extreme but that's what a lot of youtubers like to "sell". It's not practical at all, but to each their own I suppose.

If you've been to Japan before you dont understand that it's pretty easy to find Either laundromat, or maybe if you need to buy some clothes because it gets colder. You don't need to bring your hold house with you. I've been to Japan 3 times, and every time I find stuff that I don't need to bring with me. So for the next time I know not to bring it. Also, you said you're doing one bad travel, this is not 1 bad travel, you're bringing 3 bags, you're bringing a sling that's about 9 l. The backpack is 21 or 26 l, And then you're bringing a suitcase that's either 35 or 45 l. That's not minimalistic travel with one bag. Please read a dictionary of minimalistic. Please dont make another travel Packing video.
