Just a quick message to thank you very much for this - it's great, and exactly what I was looking for. Also, gave you the thumbs up as soon as you mentioned that you hate people begging for thumbs up (ironic!), since I too hate that diatribe that they all go on with now - you should _want_ to do it, not be begged to! PS - extra bonus awesome for mentioning Crydamoure - my use for Minidisc is to make it easier to grab certain albums that aren't on Spotify that I do have on CD - my CD collection is hard to get to, but the small number of minidiscs are easy to grab, and that album is one of the ones I'm grabbing first.

good choice on that album, recording it to minidisc will surely cut back on the amount of plays for that LP version, which is important for that album specifically because its worth a FORTUNE. I got extremely lucky and got mine in a crate full of records i got from my ex’s friend for $40 and its one of my most cherished records in my collection by far.

Since 1999 I record Vinyl on Minidisc. I have a REGA record player over a LINN PRETEK preamp I make minidisc records with a SONY MD JA333ES and it sounds great in my portable SONY MD player. The records make more fun than from original CDs.

Seeing as most of what I record on minidisc are complete albums, I tend to look for the original cassette artwork on Google and adjust that, seeing as the aspect ratio is similar to that of a minidisc label. The bad thing is a great number of cassette inlay art is a very simole cut down of the CD art, or just the CD cover direct in the middle with the band and title on the top and bottom in case you're not smart enough to see it in the original artwork... Basically a minimal effort job to release the cassette. Also, those that are good artwork inlays are often terrible quality scans where they just put the cassette case in the scanner without even taking it out of the case or a photo at an odd angle that deforms the image, so, eventhough I'm no good at art of any kind, I usually end up having to touch up the artwork in the end anyway within my limited capacity. As for printing, Adobe Illustrator. And as a final thought, all hail the mighty Minidisc!!

Just trying out minidisc, buying my MiniUSB and can't wait. It's a really Innovative CD-Killer that never took off! Late bloomer on the scene, Vaporwave releases TONS of minidisc now and I am looking for a physical format that I can sell my music with for people who are into these unique little things. I literally was like "What if I had a floppy disc but it was little bit smaller but it was like a cd" then watched a TechMoan video and literally was like "WOAH THAT'S IT!!!"

Same here. Bought some MD players for New Retro Wave minidisc album releases.

they actually released Homework officially on Minidisc

Maaaan. Ive been obsessing with being able to do this since 1993.

I recommend having a "bleed area" on the artwork so that you don't have those white edges on the stickers after cutting them. Nice video! I really need to get into minidiscs

Hi I will be creating a lot of New custom made MiniDisc's with custom art by me, keep an eye on ebay this year, you'll be amazed, already created the 1st Indian Bhangra group album on MD, turned out awesome - no more stickers.

I have a question, since you stated that it took you about a hour to make the template how about i pay you 20.00 to recreate that template for me, the psd file as you call it? That is of course if that is doable for you, now i only want the one that completely covers the disc, think about please you would be helping me out immensely. phatman1759@att.net
