If I’m not mistaken (and i might be), i think the issue with fenix is not with fenix itself but with prosim - they won’t allow developers to tap into their software w/o a license. Unless prosim changes this policy, fenix won’t be able to interface with the minifcu (or any other hardware for that matter).

Excuse my paraphrasing in the video but yes that is essentially what I'm referring to when I talk about licensing issues on the Fenix side.

@@BobbyFuzzy even despite the lack of data going back into the FCU I'm pleasantly surprised to see that there is still some support like the button LED and the dot telling you you're in a managed mode. But regarding asking Fenix for support is pretty useless as Aamir already is trying to redefine their deal with Prosim to get home cockpit stuff to work.

@@simulacrae Good to know re: Aamir's plans! I've done a couple of flights in the Fenix already with this and it works pretty nice, only inconvenient bit is large heading changes where you have to look away from the PFD or change the ND mode.

Just received mine, have you found a way to turn it off when not in use other than unplugging it? Shame that it doesn't seem to have a standby function or a simple on/off switch on the side. As it stands it looks like I'll have to keep unplugging it for the 90% of time my PC is not doing Flight Sim stuff. That can't be good for the strain on the USB connector over time.

Unfortunately not, you could plug it into a powered usb hub with switches so you can turn it off that way.

I now read the compatability problem has been solved.

I would say so. Especially considering the fact other products such as SimpleFCU is about the same price and a CP Flight FCU will be over $1000.

Guys most of the serious developers have no interest on consoles. If you want to make the most of the sim you have to be on PC.

@@pilotBA For sure! Not sure what support would be like for a device like this on Xbox though as it uses a proprietary driver.

Without full integration with Fenix A320, it is completely useless. Especially since it's not a cheap controller.

I worried that might be a thing when I first backed it that but then I flew with it with the Fenix and it's fantastic. The only thing missing is the number readout, all of which is visible on the PFD and should be verified there anyway. When spad adds support for it too we should be able to get the numbers also via fenixquartz (the only way any other hardware like this works with the Fenix too currently) not to mention being able to configure it for basically any aircraft 🙂 I hear whispers Fenix are working on support too! Doesn't feel completely useless to me anyway.
