Important info. I just passed this reversing off-road manoeuvre which is now a separate test to be completed before the driving practical. It's called Module 3a/ OFF ROAD minibus test. I don't want anyone to arrive at test centre only to be turned away for not having done this first. It happened to me and it sucks

Very well done and easy to understand. What would also be useful, I believe, is to create a real life situation, where one would need to use a similar reversing, i.e. parked cars, corner of the bulding

@655865 I think my situation is different from yours. I've HGV licence, plus I'm an MOT tester for class 4,7, and L5 minibuses. I borrowed a minibus from the company that we service and MOT their fleet of minibuses for. If you want any more information please let me know. Thanks.

I love watching these videos especially reversing lorry’s I would like to do my class 2 rigid but I have to say and this isn’t a dig at the men that teach people all the instructors that give out the licenses but I just don’t see the point with this small minibuses and 7.5 ton vehicles I’ve driven bigger trucks, box, vans and Luton vans and bigger vans in General, then these minibus vans and some 7.5 ton vehicles and most of them have been twin wheel axles, which are the same as a 5.5 ton axles, but some can carry 5.5 tons or more. So I don’t it and when you do your test now in a 7.5 ton vehicle.it’s a van with a 5.5 ton rear wheel axle, van it’s not even a lorry but then you can jump straight in a 7.5 ton wagon, and some of them are quite big. So plz tell me whats all this nonsense and going round the houses we only took away the grandad rights in 1997 because we were part of the EU and they had car licenses only and it was probably to break each test down to get more money pointless really, because if they want to do something they can. I’ve just given everybody back car and trailer test for free so give bucks more minibuses and 7.5 ton wagon licenses and then there’s more drivers to drive lorries

Thank you so much for your comments, Mark, some interesting points. As you can appreciate not, everyone wants to drive a large lorry and the importance of a C1 and a D1. For example, someone wishing to do a horsebox does not want to drive a 32 ton rigid HGV. The same can be said with regards to people driving D1 categories. For example, we do many teachers and similar, again, these people don't want to learn to drive a 10.7 meter bus or coach. So even though the weight limits are very similar to 3.5 ton maximum authorise mass importance of having a step up to a 7.5 ton. MAM is very important. Thank you so much for your input and your comments 👍👍👍

@@NationalDrivingCentre totally understand what you’re saying I used to own a fiat ducto box removal van which was the biggest you could get in that make a model. My friend worked on the road driving at 7.5 ton. I Vico cargo and my box van absolutely dwarfed his lorry and I just find it very weird how you can pass your car license and drive a van that Big but you can’t drive a lorry that is smaller that’s where I’m coming from and there’s more lads and men girls and women driving delivery vans now then I’ve ever seen so if they’re capable of driving something that big I’m sure I could drive at 7.5 ton no trouble
