Miniature Railways of Great Britain The Fenland Light Railway March 2016

The start of another season of riding the railways of Great Britain. We start at the Fenland Light Railway in Cambridgeshire,we have visited this railway before but it was in another location and a different layout. It has only moved about 200yards,but this one is all new.We have been looking forward to this visit as we had a warm welcome the last time and it was very much the same, great club and well worth a visit.

+BillycanKay Just goes to show what can be achieved with a lot of work by the members, they have done a very good job in a small area, could do away with a few of the SW signs though! Would have been nice to see the steam loco running but that was being repaired....Best wishes Chris.

Hi Chris thanks for posting the video. Sorry for not being there to see you, running G1 at the Fosse. Its been hard work for the small band of workers, but we are proud of what we have achieved so far. Still a lot to do. Pete

+Robert Masterman The track is about a mile from the nearest village of Ramsey Mereside, but this railway is the biggest attraction in the area.....Regards Chris.

One down & lots to go eh Chris! An interesting & different layout and presumably all electrically operated from that cabin by one 'controller'? I suspect the tri-angle terminal rather restricts movements but it works. Cheers, Brian.

+SYKAROST This is on another list of DAY TRIPS Brian lol! Yes all controlled by one man in the container but will be in a signal box very soon..A very unusual layout but it makes good use on the space, just goes to show what we could achieve at Whissendine.Too many SW boards for me but still a great place to visit.....Best wishes Chris.
