Love this! Had a brief go at pop-up engineering a few years back and have arrived at it again for another look. This little book is quietly elegant and so accomplished, a great inspiration to have another go, thanks for sharing it!

What is the type of the paper?

Seems like bristol paper to me. You need a thicker one than printer a4 and hardy enough so it'll fold/unfold smoothly back to intended position, basically.

Hello, I already understood how it is done thanks, two leaves behind I saw the mechanism above but without the base box, I will not hide it, look at the mechanism frame by frame before I realized that it was already shown, hahahaha. Thank you.

Hello. It's pretty simple--the top section connects to the bottom section with two angle folds, mirrored across the gutter.
