Mini thunderbolt siren V2 testing and update

This has been a tedious process of getting all the components necessary to get this thing running, and I have been distracted with making models to restock the shop. I really wanted people to finally get a chance to hear what this siren has to offer and I honestly was just to excited to wait until the entire thing was finished first before making a video on it. More videos will follow as this project progresses, and at the end I’ll be making a regular full length video going over all the features and details with the model please comment rate and subscribe as I love the engagement!

I subscribed....this version with the 4/5 is perfect. Seriously cannot wait until you sell these. The wind down was great....it seems like it's very loud for it's size. Reminds me very much of the Madison Heights Thunderbolt I grew up listening to. I appreciate the engineering here, from the onboard speed controllers to the variable "chuffer" motor in the air pipe for realistic blower sound. You 3D print folks are pretty damn smart!

Sounds absolutely wonderful, it makes me wonder could you print a 4/6 port rotor because I know that Federal Signal did make 5/6 port rotors, as well as 4/5 Port rotors as well as a five port rotor, so let’s do the one rotor set that never got produced

Yeah that's something I could definitely do, I will definitely do more test videos with different rotors, I even hade a mini model Q rotor that actually fits in the stator that I think would be hilarious to try out😂

Hey Connor, how do u design the chopper with the 3D printer? I’m making a mini thunderbolt and I need to know how to print the chopper and stator

I feel like the horn is rather short, but I imagine it might be too heavy if it was too scale or unable to print as one piece

There's no rotator speed controller hooked up, this is just getting the straight voltage from the power supply.

man, i'd love to hear a good 5/6 on chopper 4 with that lil thing.

When they're sold they will come with all the changeable chopper speeds and rotator speeds too, the only motor you can't change the speed of is the blower!

It's actually using an RM130 size motor, but the windown can be deceiving, I get the long windown because the chopper assembly is wired into an "inertial capacitor", lol it's basically just a flywheel and another motor. I'll probably do a much longer video on all the electronics used to operate it.
