At this POINT I cut a small piece of micro tubing and slide it onto the hook point . I've stuck myself so many times ...The trailing I went with a # 10 bait hook .It's hard to guess what he is using but a size #8 was to small.So I did my first one,I put three strands of Christal Flash on either side of the tail and 4 strands on the shank before tying in the last hen feather and it looks great . Thank you for the pattern. Ken OH, just a tip , I used a rubber band on the post of my vise to keep the stinger hook under control... No hook in my finger BEAUTIFUL !!!🤣😂😅🙃😉😊😛

Great pattern and nicely done! Come on Spring!! Personally, I like fishing streamers and wet flies. This little compact pattern looks like a gem.

Cool fly Jake, I like that flipper tail. I bet a small metal blade rigged on the hook would work too for when you need flash or sound in dark water. I like your bench too, looks like a real party ;o) Thanks!

Love the side panels on the trailer, I love using Guinea Hen for that, the dots making for an excellent attractor. What do you use for editing software Jake?

Very cool fly! It was a new take on sculpin flies, at least for me. Is this intended for steelhead, rainbows/browns, or both?
@TheFlyFiend

Yes! Intended for steelhead but I also swing it for smallmouth bass and resident rainbows/browns for that I just downsize the hook to a size #4 intruder hook vs the #2-1 for steelhead.

Odd question why don't you just run the hook right on the shank? Is there an advantage to using the power pro loop?
