Mini Speed Collage Class
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is a Zoom recording of a Free Mini Collage Class from May 14th 2022
Celebrate World Collage Day by creating some speed collages!
Don't think you can make a collage in 3 minutes (that somehow turned into 2.5-minute collages!)? Well, I bet you can, actually, I know you can. Kind of like speed dating - but here you can't make a bad impression : ) The small collages you'll make in short spurts are the kind I love to do as warm-up exercises or just for fun so I can use up my small scraps of paper. Working within a limited amount of time will help keep you from overthinking. You dive right into the process and your choices become more intuitive since you have to work quickly to complete the goal of gluing down papers and filling the allotted space before the timer goes off. Ready to take on the challenge? In the end, I share some news about my new Sketchbook Collage Workshop that's coming in June. I'm super excited about this new class! Registration will open on May 20th.
Supplies needed for this mini-class:
- Glue stick
- Sketchbook, a piece of card stock or watercolor paper - something that gives you room to sketch out four 2-2.5 inch squares on the paper.
- Collage papers - paper scraps, book pages, painted papers, tissue paper, wrapping paper, security - -envelope patterns, sheet music, scrapbook paper, maps, etc.
- Old magazine, catalog, or scrap paper to glue on to keep your table surface free of glue.

The key to collage is to be organized with what you are working with.
