I can’t help but feel bad for Mini Mansions. Honestly, because I don’t hear anyone cheering for Mini Mansions. Soon as Alex walks on, the crowd just goes wild. I just feel bad, I love Alex and I’m not blaming him because he can’t control whether the crowd cheers or not

I wouldn't feel bad. Mini Mansions grew their fan base with this song :) Look at it this way - if Alex weren't there... would they have gotten the same cheer at all (I would personally hope so). But both parties benefited from this. Probably more so Mini Mansions, as this helped give them a bigger spot on the map. This is by far one of their biggest songs!

listened to the song, listen to it more for mini mansions. this song is honestly super epic with or without alex. i really like when it gets that super deep sound and switches immediately back to a soft piano. it’s a great song, too many people are overlooking it.

It's more a matter of different lyrical styles - not quality. Alex is from a indie rock / alternative band so writes lyrics suited to that. Mini mansions are an indie pop / psychedelic pop band so wrote lyrics suited to that. It's nothing to do with quality...
