I like that they included room for a washing machine. Most of the ones I have seen don't have a spot for one. For me that would be a must.

Absolutely the tiny house I would buy if I was buying one. There is only one thing I woudl change, usually there are lots, and that is, I woudl prefer to lose a cabinet and have a slot in stove and not a hot plate, so I could have a proper oven, I don't do Microwaves, and 3 or 4 hotplates on top. But 99% my perfect tiny home, just beautiful x

While I do understand your concerns, there are certain thing that just dont add well. A toilet/bathroom shouldn't be near the place, where I prepare food. I mean, we all know the bodily functions & unless you want a 'tangy' vibe to your dinner you should have them on other sides. (I know, that the food isn't technically, truly spoiled by it... but it's that mental cinema, which disgusts me) Besides, they always say you should put your tooth brush and such in a cabinet bcause of the toilet flush & 'waste' its odor (atoms, etc...) so why would I want to cook my food right beside the toilet? And most of the times, they haven't even a door at the bathroom in these videos. It's just bleh.... :(
Thanks also for mentioning the price!!!
I want a stationary tiny house. I understand many facets of the tiny house movement is determine local or municipal standards but at 58, single and on a fixed income and having lived In Apartments my entire life, I dream about these little gems all the time.
It's very nice, with a few adjustments like a door for the bathroom, frosted windows in certain areas, a smaller, compressed staircase and a little more storage I'd say it is definitely worth the price. Looks like a good quality house :)
That's cool. Practically an instant guesthouse or green living.

Place the washer outside between the house and the trailer hitch where there's unused space and build the deck/overhang/enclosure for it. You'll have enough room there for a hot water heater, even more storage and then some. Boom! Now you have room for a full sized range/oven where the washer used to be. That's what I would do.

I absolutely love the layout of this tiny space. It's perfect for one person, maybe two!
seems like a lot of wasted space with a few poor design decisions. put cabinets in the corners in the kitchen. why not have an induction cook top installed? whats with the huge window in the bathroom? i think that window behind the chair in the living room was a poor choice. sooo much wasted space under the stairs. that window beside the fridge is all wasted space too. put a shorter window in and you could have had a desk, more counter area, or if the area under the steps had been better utilized, you could have increased the length of the open area by moving the fridge down and could have had dining seating for two. its like the builder had a bunch of windows that they wanted to get rid of and just slapped them in any place they could.

what would be cool is if the second loft had a large skylight that slides open so a person can sit and stand as they please on the second floor and ever afford them a nice view.
The stairs are very narrow and the railing juts out quite a bit. This could unbalance people climbing the stairs. The railing should be on the other side. And the space under the stairs should be closet space.

+jetfowl --I was thinking the same thing. There was a lot of missed opportunities in building this tiny home. The washer/dryer combo is crap. Well, when I used one it was. it takes very small loads and took 1-1/2 hours to dry. Not worth it in my opinion unless they've improved them. So much open space that could have been used for storage. Cute, but I wouldn't go for this one.
@jetfowl
8 жыл бұрын
Lyon Still The best versions of the combo washer/dryer are those that are ducted. That way, they can vent the moisture. I've used both versions before, the ductless one while in South Korea... and that was very bad, taking more than 2 hours to do a load of laundry. But the ducted versions are more in-line with hi-efficiency washer/dryers.
I would love this style for my autistic son once he gets grown and IF he chooses to stay with me.

I do like the tiny house, but there are 2 things I would change. The first one is the window in the bathroom. It gives no privacy. I cannot imagine myself sitting on the toilet knowing someone could see me. So I would definitely put a much smaller window, in a proper height, so that no one would see me. The second thing I would change is the position of the TV. It is so high that I would not be able to watch it from the couch downstairs, as my neck would start hurting soon. It is said that the best height for TV sets is in the eye-level. So when you are sitting, your eyes should not be lifted nor lowered in order to watch TV. So the place for the TV is ridiculous. I would consider getting another TVs for the lofts and the larger TV should go lower.

I like it, dumb ass !
Very neat and tidy and airy. Love it
I think the price is a good value for what you get. Nice work.
I call mild use of Time Lord technology. It's definitely bigger on the inside.

+bbfsc123 She mentions it in the video. There is a folding ladder in the closet that you use when the other loft is needed.

Some things I would change: 1. No TV, 2. Put the Washer dryer combo in the closet area, with venting to the outside and more shelving and/or place to hang cloths above. 3. Utilize the under stairs area (where the heater/fireplace is) as staircase shelving. 4. In the kitchen where the washer/dryer was, make more storage.
This looks so nice and cozy for one person
I love it. And I love the real stairs. Except. There should've been a real stove put in.
Ok guys, we got it. THERE IS A HUGE WINDOW RIGHT NEXT TO THE TOILET!

There's this cool invention out there called a curtain and it works wonders in situations like this. You should investigate!
Really, really nice THoW! It's got everything! I love the stairs; so much more practical when one is aging, than using a ladder.
This home is so beautiful! I'm in love!
