Hi there, we've enjoyed your video guides on ostomy supplies but thought we should clarify a few things you mention. We at Colo-Majic® are proud of our biodegradable liners and have gone through a thorough development process to ensure they are biodegradable. We would be more than happy to supply you with the documentation proving this. On the product box you'll see the BASF logo which we would not be able to use if they were not in fact biodegradable. We have many clients with colostomies and ileostomies who have found that our pouch liners have significantly improved managing their output, giving them more freedom and less stress (due to odor and emptying your pouch in public facilities). We offer free samples via our website to new customers considering trying the liners for the first time. If you have any questions on our pouch liners, please feel free to give us a call. All the best, Colo-Majic®

Thanks for writing. I'm aware that you use the EcoVio by BASF in your liners, but I haven't found any information that it works well in municipal sewer or home plumbing systems. I will contact you directly as I've only looked for information at the time I recorded this video (over two years ago).

Hi Can you please suggest what brand you are using as we have used Majik liners but it was not very helpful. Therefore, we are looking for anything which is more durable. So can you please suggest the name of the liners you are demonstrating in this video. Thanks

Colo-Majic is the most popular liner brands, but the Attiva flushable liners may be worth checking out, too. They are made by Ostomy essentials: www.ostomyessentials.ca/flushable-ostomy-pouch-liners/

Is economy the only reason you don't use pouch liners? Will reusing this system make the wafer weaker with constant use, therefore causing leaks?

I don't use them for several reasons, but number 1 is because they aren't easily biodegradable and can mess up municipal water treatment plans. It's like flushing sandwich bags down the toilet. But even if they broke down quickly, they are awkward to use if you have an ileostomy and are better suited to output that is dry and more like regular stool (colostomy output).
