📢 Who wouldn’t want a real life teddy bear in the form of one of the most popular cross-breeds of all time? The mini goldendoodle is exactly that, and has become a highly sought after subsection of the already popular goldendoodle breed. There are a few different sizes of this shrunk down doodle, and we are going to break down all of them, as well as giving you some more information, so you can make the best choice possible for you. To give you a brief overview, today we are going to be breaking down all 3 versions of the mini goldendoodle. These include the titular mini, as well as the teacup and toy sizes. It’s worth mentioning straight up that these dogs are not only rarer, but are more expensive than the standard goldendoodle, and we just wanted to get that out of the way quickly before getting your hopes up if price is an object here.
🐶 Teacup Goldendoodle
Goldendoodles don’t get much smaller than this. The teacup goldendoodle is a super compact version, and the smallest sized one you can buy. These doodles will weigh at most 13 pounds, and be roughly the size of a piece of standard printer paper. They are about 11 inches tall, and you can easily tuck them into just one arm safely. These doodles don’t need to exercise all that much, mostly because they tend to be less energetic than the larger sizes.
🐶 Toy Goldendoodle
The toy doodle, or the petite as they are sometimes called, are a little bigger than the teacup, and usually stand about 3 inches taller at 14 inches. They are also usually heavier, and on average a toy goldendoodle will grow to be around 20 pounds as an adult. If you are currently living in an RV, small apartment, or a condo than this size may be perfect for you, as they don’t need nearly as much space as a regular goldendoodle. Toy-sized doodles are usually pretty laid back, but they can become difficult if they don’t have the room they need or if they aren’t getting a lot of exercise.
🐶 Mini Goldendoodle
The biggest size among the mini-sized goldendoodles is actually called “mini” itself. This version of the goldendoodle has a lot more energy than the other two, and is more similar to the larger doodles in terms of personality and temperament. These are lively dogs, usually standing around 16 to 18 inches when they are fully grown. They are also about 10 pounds bigger than the toy, and usually weigh in at 30 pounds.
🐶 Where to look for a Mini Goldendoodle?
The breeder that you choose is always going to be an important decision, but this is particularly the case for a mini goldendoodle. Even with somewhat experienced breeders, many of them just see dollar signs with this sized doodle. If you have the money to buy a true mini goldendoodle, you don’t want to pay through the nose just to get a dog from a bloodline that is inbred or corrupted.

We bought our min goldendoodle 3 years ago. She is an F1b, so 75% small miniature poodle. Her weight is only about 14 lbs, but she is relatively tall and slender. We rarely see other mini goldendoodles that are as petite and slender as she is. Her temperament is great, but you can definitely tell that she is more poodle than golden retriever. She has been a great pet for our city family, and she is great to travel with due to her petite size.
Don't worry about the price They are great companions and less expensive and less drama than a girlfriend

I HAVE A MINTURE GOLDENDOODLE FROM 10 WEEKS OLD . HE IS ALMOST 9 MONTHS NOW AND WEIGHS 28 LBS. HE IS SUCH A LOVING DOG

My family and I were lucky and we got our Toy Goldendoddle Ellie for $400. She has a black coat but she is beautiful! She loves to play and give a ton of kisses. She's perfect!

I love my mini goldendoodle. I have always had large and very larger dogs. So it was with hesitation that I bought a mini anything. But my husband and son both had allergies to our last dog so this time I felt I wanted something that would not bother them. Another huge plus was lack of shedding. I potty trained her in 2 days! She sat the first time I worked with her. This is a great bread and very loving and affectionate. Get a mini you will love them.

They are extremely smart. It’s a good and bad thing. They have to be constantly entertained
I've had Ike my mini for a year and a half and I wouldn't trade him for the world. Yes he was expensive but worth every penny. He's 26 pounds and a bundle of joy. Very attached to me and gets pretty bad separation anxiety when I'm not around.

@@StandngOnBusiness He was $2,600. Steep but worth every penny IMO. If it were me I'd go with the mini golden doodle of course but I'm biased of course lol.

@@StandngOnBusiness I will just say this. Monthly grooming $65, Monthly ear cleaning $30 Goolden Doodles could have lots of ear infections if there not cleaned. Mine had 2 or 3 in her 1st year. Later on, the same year we found out she is allergic to Chicken is what was causing her ear infections. Yeah Golden Doodles can have food allergies too. they can be high maintenance but well worth it. Good luck.

Our mini Goldendoodle is 9 now but is still the sweetest thing! She had a lot of energy in her younger years but is more mellow now. Very snuggly and loving ❤❤
I have a 16 month old F1BB Mini GoldenDoodle named Millie and she is the best dog I have ever had. She is 82% poodle and really smarter than I am. My husband passed away in April 2023 and she has become my registered Emotional Support Dog. I call her my little Velcro strip.

Added more however you'd toy is about where my petite should get to . I'm not sure why they are different. Love my girl Sadie.

Don't pay a high price no dog is worth that. Me I don't want a dog to messy and expensive. Kids ok my son Adolph hates dogs.
We have a Toy Goldendoodle that is 2 years old and is the sweetest little girl you would ever want. And yes she is full of life loves to run and likes to chew up paper.

We paid $3800 CAD for ours 3 years ago. During covid the prices were insane, but she came from a very reputable family (mom) and breeder (dad) and we had a full medical history for her with both parents having excellent genetics. She is very small and slender for a mini F1B. She is incredibly smart and does amazing tricks. Anyway, she has been worth the money even if she was very pricey.

Our mini is a 60 pd. Boy. Both parents under 18 pds. He was our rescue. He ended up being at standaed.
I have a petite golden doodle she is my sweetheart love her so much. Got her from an awesome place. She is supposed to get to 30 pounds.
I want one, but I’m seeing info that says the sizing isn’t always accurate. Some say they got a mini and it turned out to be 35-40 pounds! My fear is that if one that heavy gets hurt, I won’t be able to lift and run with him. My last dog was 16-20 pounds, so I would like to stay in that size area.
We have a regular doodle but runt of the litter only 38 lbs
