I have the pleasure of owning a JCW model of the coupe, and WOW !! I love driving it so much, I love the fact my car is unique but has speed ! Get compliments oh my car all the time. If you’re looking, DO IT.

I recently upgraded from a mini cooper to a coupe, same colour too and I love it. Absolute fun to drive! To the negative commenters: Try taking it for a test drive yourself before badmouthing it.

MINI Coupe. Um véiculo para ninguem colocar defeito. Automovel, simples, compacto, visual atual bonito jovem. Motor, acima da potencia que o carro precisa. Muito seguro, estabilidade perfeitas nas curvas. Muita segurança dentro do carro para os ocupantes. O sentido de andar em um desses, é se tornar um garoto.

I like your BMW M hat, and the car you're reviewing.

Perhaps the reviewer has not driven many sports cars - I test drove the Coupe SD today and found the letterbox rear window perfectly adequate and complemented by the huge round wing mirrors so absolutely no problem with rear vision. The hard ride is overstated, its a sports car! But this is a limousine compared to cars I am used to and I've owned more than a dozen original Minis/Coopers. The biggest feature which these reviews seem to miss is the wasted space behind the seats because what look like repeat headrests are the casing for the soft top raising mechanism which isn't used on the coupe so they could be removed as well the loudspeakers and link the already massive boot to add a child seat!! The state of increasing modern expectations is none so evident as in the endless knobs, buttons and controls, most of which you don't need if you want the thrill of a very fast road clinging sports car which this is! 134mph is plenty quick enough! The Cooper S is just one second quicker 0-60 and will burn a bigger hole in your pocket, so I would say this is the one to get as its torquey engine is very useful at all speeds and certainly not 'straining like a puppy'.

It doesn't look like "crap" as you say, it looks good if it's the right colour.

It's fun to drive, just like all mini's are. I'd love the JCW works, though can't afford it right now!

Great review but as an owner of a hatch model I would have to disagree with you on the buttons. I think they're just as firm as any other car. You're not going to press the wrong one on accident

I have a mini coupe S 2014 . Everyday atleast one person asks me what car is it and also i get the looks hen i get gas. Now that they stop making this model its very rare we see one

I just found CarBuyer reviews today, starting with the new A Class, and I'm instantly a fan! Not a fan of the Mini Cooper Coupe tho.

Comparing the bootspace with the Peugot RCZ? A significantly bigger car!

Great idea giving the Mini a coupe version but I think sensible people might find that roof a bit off-putting. Perhaps they should have made it more coventional as to appeal to a wider array of customers.

Do a google search on a grey and red Mini Coupe..and that's just one example of a colour it looks better in, in my opinion.

I have to 'somewhat' disagree with you..because I think it's an acceptable looking car, however it does depend on what colour it is. For example, this colour doesn't look too good on it. But perhaps a lighter blue might..such as baby blue.

I don't understand why you mention 'air-conditioning' as a 'feature'. Is it not common in all cars?

You can't plug an iPod in with that normal Apple lead, you need a bmw one that costs over £60, plus how are the buttons fiddly there just the same size as my Audi TT? Hmm

I disagree... Matt would be crap at it... I mean for starters Matt is factual, Top Gear is "Look at us, BBC has so much money, lets just show it off through cars" Another thing is Top Gear is actually quite funny. They don't even review proper daily cars other than a few occassions.

We got an in depth look at this car, he only read my comment and username. There lies another difference. Also, I'm not the only one bagging this car ... look at half the other comments. The 3rd and back "door" you are referring to in the coupe is a boot lid... My point is this looks like crap and is impractical and does not have back seats to carry kids at least.

You whine because he talks about you without knowing you and I just wanted to point out that you do the same about a car. So the car might not feel offended but it was just to remind that sometimes we all should clean our own backyard.

So the conclusion of this review - buy a BMW M1 car instead. :P
