I'd have the GTi I think. Driven both, I absolutely love the 2L on the bmw sorry mini 😅 and the exhaust on the jcw line but I felt like the interior wasn't special enough, it felt a bit tacky according to me with the light up flag, the very average feeling paddles and the terrible manual seat levers. You know what you're getting with the GTi, doesn't claim to be special like the mini.

Try the MC road once ( Muvattupuzha - Ettumanoor stretch ). The road is much wider, very less traffic, has all kinds of corners and the banking is almost perfect. It's much better than Athirapilly stretch.

Vw offered gti for 17 lkhs when i was checking for jetta. That was a tempting offer. Yes. But when considering family use , i opted out.
