Dude I just bought one of these mini's and it's given me a passion for cars because the driving experience is insane for a small car with just over 100bhp, I know nothing about mechanics but really want to make a few adjustments JUST LIKE THESE!! Pls upload more no one does videos on the standard cooper just the cooper S :( . If you could also include rough prices that would be cool as fuck. Great video btw

@@giokowi246 that's awesome to here bro, I've subscribed to you now anyway so hopefully I can follow your choices of mods to give me inspiration for my own pride and joy! I was thinking of fitting the cooper S brakes to it for piece of mind in the corners as my pads are slightly worn anyway, I would personally love to hear what tyres you choose to use and any other relitively inexpensive mods that don't ruin the raw feel of the car would all be welcome. As I said I have tried to find these videos elsewhere and they are all for the cooper S 😴. Make more content I can tell you love it too as the editing quality is 👌 I'll stop licking your arse now bro 😂

@@chriscringlecm thanks for the sub :) and as for future mods, I'm not really sure what to do next, can you recommend me what i should do next? for the parts that i used in this video: typhoon air intake k&n part#69-2020TR $230 megan racing catback exhaust system $390 As for my tires, I'm not really sure what i used. that's because i bought it used, thinking of changing a new set of tires really soon though. I hope that answers your questions

@@giokowi246 sadly, this car can't be modded. The only mod you can add this car is a better suspension, that's it.

@@davefernandez5567 Not true. You can tune it, add a R53 throttle body, larger injectors, upgrade the coil pack and plugs, add a cam, a ported head and headers. My R50 makes 150 at the crank, and it can still go a bit higher.

Just a a quick note you can more power out of a magnaflow headers and exhaust. The pipes are 2.5 inches.

I'm 14, just got one of these for under 500, missing 5th gear but new gearbox already got, I never thought I'd love such a car but I can't wait to work a bit and mod it like you guys, just don't know where to start. Such a fun car, hope you enjoy it as much as me 😄

How is it? I want one as well and the Cooper S is a little expensive and the base ones are pretty cheap. I know the S has 168hp and these have 115 or so but does it feel slow?

@@Feraz69420 with the gearbox and a few other small things fixed, its great. 116hp but they only weigh about 1100kg so it feels fast. I mainly drive it on dirt / gravel roads around a forest and it handles amazingly, can slide it very easily with a handbrake pull. Great as a first car and there's a decent amount of aftermarket parts from what I've seen. If you don't need the supercharged whine from a cooper s then you'll enjoy the base model cooper just as much

@@dkift5238 hey thanks for the reply and I’ll keep looking and hope I find a cheap S but if not I’ll just buy the base mini with a manual transmission. I heard about the problems with the automatic and I’d rather drive a manual anyways. Thanks again.

@@Feraz69420I have a 2010 auto and it seems pretty slow unless you select gears that helps so I imagine the manual would be so much more fun

Do you know if this mod is possible on a R56 Cooper D 2OO9? Really want some nice sounds. Please keep making videos of non S builds because they are hard to find and you're doing great!

I mean its a diesel so it wont be as good of a sound but yes ofc you can swap the intake and exhaust

Can you provide the link for where to get the exhaust system?

i don't see gaining anything by removing the factory air box that gets air rammed into it from the outside to getting hot air from the engine bay. Once you close the hood the temperature rises to 400..just doesn't make sense

You could just take off the stock air inlet....that will make it sound beefy. Its before the air filter so no worries you wont affect anything as far as fuel mixture goes...that looks like a glass pack but they havent listed the pipe so I'm clueless.

What year and how many miles are on your R50? I have a 2003 with 155k+ miles on it. The car has been a headache honestly, but when it's driving well, it's a lot of fun. I'm currently having an issue with the serpentine belt and AC compressor. it squeals a bit on startup and then the squeal subsides. when the AC compressor engages, it's pretty loud and sounds a bit like a washing machine on spin cycle . LOL. anyways, I kinda want to do what you did since the exhaust on this car is shot and rusted out. Wouldn't mind a few HP gains from the CAI and exhaust as well. I hope you make more videos. There are definitely some of us out there who want to learn and modify our budget dailys lol. Good stuff brotha

Only the S model has turbo, but it is possible to put a turbo in a regular Cooper but wouldnt recomend it

is this with turbo? If not, what a waist of time to even lose power then gain. Intake was called a coldair. Seemed more like a heatsoak. Not sure if this was thought all the way through! But no offense, it's only my opinion.
