Today is one of the happiest days of my life: I traded my 2012 Mini Countryman S on a Toyota RAV4. Had been paying about $5000 a year on shop visits. The check engine light came on while driving to the dealership.

I've been looking for over an hour for a video that shows all of the different models. Lots of "Clubman vs. Countryman" videos, but this was the first one that compared them all. Very helpful in preparing me for my trip to the Mini dealership. Thank you!

Nice VLOG. My wife and I decided to buy two 2016 minis back in 2019. I got the Clubman in S trim with the BMW B46 and she got the Justa convertible with the B38 3 cylinder (from the BMW i8). Both have sticks and both are very fun and never fail to trigger happy thoughts. Just this morning, I had a blast dropping my son at school in the convertible; top down on a cool fall morning in New England, enjoying the nimble chassis, surprisingly infectious engine sounds of the 3 popper and loving life despite rush hour. And since I take care of maintenance, I have not experienced the "service nightmares" or "money pit problems" that many people complain about. IMO FWIW I think much of the reliability complaints BTW are due to relying on the dealer and believing in the 15K service intervals. Like many European brands you need to be a bit OCD to keep these cars happy and healthy; which means 5K mile/6 month oil change intervals and half the recommended interval for other fluids and consumables. Can't understand the haters who feel like BMW ruined Mini. If you consider the number of fun, practical daily driver that exist and can still be optioned with a stick (and very good sticks IMO), the 3rd gen Mini's are quite nice, especially when off lease samples cost quite a bit less than new. So so far we have absolutely no regrets and would purchase a Mini again. Given that I've always preferred a engaging car and Mazda has moved in a different- yet fiscally positive direction- I'm happy that Mini has filled the gap left by so many accessible automakers. As always, I enjoy the banter. You guys are great and down to earth. Keep up the good work.

Yup . . . no kiddo on the trip and Evie goes Blue. 😂🤣 Always wanted to go to Iceland. I had it on the selection list when looking for new assignments in the military; the AF sent to me to the boonies of Alaska instead . . . less scenery, same bugs! I was voting for the Clubman for Evie . . . matches her perfectly. It's my favorite Mini as well; love the barn doors! Yes, more of these videos.

Looks like an awesome time. Now I wanna do some photography (and driving) in Iceland. Loved the travel format, by the way! If you have more opportunity to do the travel & review thing go for it!

It was a private retreat the folks from MINI rented in the middle of nowhere about 1.5 hours east of Reykjavik.

I'm a cheap Architect, great show! I seldom watch an entire video though I did see all of this one. Great format I vote for more.

I want to go to Iceland now! Also, never really considered the clubman because I didn't think I'd like the barn doors and thought Countryman would be better. Maybe I'll have to check Clubman next time!

Just get the basic Mini One. Saves $$$$$ and you still have all the fun of the great handling and package

Would love to have been a fly on the wall in the marketing meeting when someone suggested inviting a couple from Southern California to Iceland to drive Minis. I'm guessing there was some alcohol involved.

[expiative] Awesome! Glad you two got to travel abroad, and to Iceland no doubt (but see much ice, it looks mostly green). Spiders...just another part of island life. despite the price, the JCW is the best way to go even though its a ""GTI SE for Golf-R money" or a "WRX Premium for STi Limited money". However, despite the poor value/price equation, if options are kept in check, it is more tolerable and should bring a smile to your face each time you drive....Motor on!

Nice job, looks like fun. I could enjoy this more if I wasn't so jealous! :-)
