I completely agree 👍 😊
That little screwdriver they included is convert-able. Pull it apart and the phillips-head is on the other end
I just bought one of these on Amazon. I have zero experience with chainsaws, but I do have a healthy respect for the damage they can do to my vulnerable body parts. The directions that came with mine were barely comprehensible, so I came to KZread for a quick lesson on how to put this thing together and use it. So glad I ran across this humorous, yet insightful, review. I feel confident enough to put this baby together and take down some small trees now. And your voice. My, my. I think I'll have to listen to another one of your videos when I need a bedtime story. Thanks for the help and for the lovely, yet subtle, double entendres. Well done.

I just got the no name brand yesterday, I payed $48.00 for it ! A Still sold for $150.00. I'll tell ya I really like it. What I didn't like was it took almost a month and a half to receive. I would recommend. I am 73 years old, with Arthritis. This will help me to continue to do small projects around my farm. You did a good review ❤

Very funny 😁. I have one similar to the black one & absolutely LOVE it! Makes quick work of a job that *used* to take forever... breaking down branches from pruning.

... It is good to have a sense of humor ... I just bought a SawSii 6" (size matters) with two 21v batteries and charger at Amazon for $58.49 ( color teal if that matters 🤔😉)... Because at 77 my arms get tired quickly ... Has a safety guard that covers the top of the chain ... Has extra chain and two files to sharpen chain with adjustment tools ... Work gloves and safety glasses ... Has small plastic bottle for lubricating oil ... Had to buy lubricating oil ... Has carrying storage case ... Thinking about buying one of those red plaid shirts to feel okay ...

The blue one sounds like a beast
Is the screwdriver the kind you can pull the Phillips head/ flat head out and switch it to either?
I bought the Saker. Comes in a nice plastic case with 2 batteries and it is amazing.
I use my reciprocating saw to cut medium size tree limbs and other stuff. Still running great after 2 years and works great. I've heard these mini chainsaws don't last long.

mine had been using this chinese mini chain saw for almost 3 years now and it still running strong.. however my battery gave up after a year of usage but its not a big deal since its compatible with makita power tools battery that i have many laying around..the chain set is replaceable and can be get around $6 range if it gets dull.. so far i feel worth having it since i dont have to carry a axe or heavy gas chainsaw with me anymore for a light cutting around my farm.
Great video and yes brought one in a sale, extra chain swung it,

I just ordered the Blue one from Walmart, branded as, Violeworks but looks identical, on sale $25. Description says it does use Makita batteries. I hope the one I ordered works. Tried to cut a thick branch with my long handle cloppers and pulled some muscles. Still have trimming to do but too sore.

Sir, you are hilarious!!!!! I feel sorry for Helen's bush and china hutch!
6000 mah? That's hysterical! And you exceeded the max log width by a considerable amount.
I just bought a 6 inch electric chainsaw. Really happy with it after using a 14 inch electric model for 40 years. Just concerned with quick charging lithium batteries. Even instructions say you should charge it a few hours before using the tool and never leave it charging unattended.

Agreed! Good point.
That’s a take! Great job with examining performance levels I would not have thought about until after the buy. Honestly though, with a little effort, my Bucks bow saw makes for pretty easy work on even a six inch branch. If you’re sawing something thicker then you probably need a standard chainsaw anyway. Besides, my bow saw helps keep me in shape.

Wow, thanks! Send me short passage to read and maybe we can incorporate it into our next video.
I bought several such "cheap/fake/funny/copycat/disgusting/but function or work exactly the same" mini chain saws. They do work really well though. However, later on I found myself reaching for one hand reciprocating saw almost exclusively, because I do not want to deal with bar and chain oil. Had a lot of fun watching this video. Good job.

Thanks! Excellent point about the reciprocating saw!
I wonder why the chian goes loose in both chainsaws. Same happened to my mini one of 8inch. I've tried to adjust it but it keeps coming loose.
@MervsServiceSecrets

I know it's never going to be super-tight. It's not supposed to be. Even on a full size chain saw it droops a little. But yeah, I have also discovered it's hard to tighten them up very much on the minis.
so can you sharpen the chains when dull or you have to replace them???I can't find anyone who says what to do when the chains get dull. I love the small size but they do get dull quickly.

I just borrowed one like that Blue one from a friend, & promptly burnt it out (Now I owe my mate a replacement tool). It had a BIG Makita (non original) Nominally 18 Volt on it at the time, so maybe it was starting with too-low voltage from the beginning.

Thank You for doing this video. im 76y female. i need to know all this. x
I've just used mine for the first time....only downside is that I'm left-handed and on top of that, my hands are small. Like most power tools, they are right-handed centric.
What am i doing with mine... A alternative to a gas saw for my off grid solar powered cabin camper to cut wood for my mini woodstove and other camp related needs. I did get the 6" one over the 4" for a little more versatility.. Although I do have one question about these little chains, what size file should I get to sharpen it with
@MervsServiceSecrets
6 ай бұрын
Not sure about the file size. I still haven't sharpened mine. But for a chain this small, it might be easier and cheaper just to buy a new chain.
I was once informed that in my hands any saw, was the absolute best way to turn legal tender into dust and small chunks. I am a big fan of Makita nonetheless😀
@MervsServiceSecrets

Great tip! And be careful about letting that legal tender go up in smoke. (or sawdust)
your screw driver you show in this video i believe is 2 in 1 type.. you can pull it to change to other type.. it look same like mine..

Oh yeah. Yep. I hear ya.
How do you keep the chain oiled on one of those little guys?
@MervsServiceSecrets
2 жыл бұрын
I would just hold it on its side, then put a few drops where the chain meets the groove of the bar, then make the chain rotate slowly with a half trigger pull. Then put a little more oil, etc. If it spatters a little oil out the front while it's running, that's pretty normal. But it shouldn't spray like a geyser. Hope this makes sense.
I just subscribed. This are real manly reviews. Which I appreciate much. Thanks Merv!

I was waiting for you to try swapping the batteries .
The screwdrivers are double sided, you can separate it from the handle and reverse it.
So I just got one by the brand name of O-Conn but these all look so similar. Mine was normally priced at like 60 bucks like these two but was 50% off, so I got it for $30! Mine came with 1 chain, 1 battery, and the same tools. BUT mine did come with a small bottle of oil. Though I did glance at the instructions... Yeah yeah I know but I had to use the restroom and needed something to read... and it made no mention of the oil at all but it did mention the orientation and included a very small extra illustration of the chain orientation. Mine also has a safety button on mine so you can't accidentally rev it.

Bought one 6 weeks ago......it's firewood season in Wisconsin. Two batteries, one is already dead. I really like the thing but have a feeling this cheap Chinisium tool won't last long. I was wondering why DeWalt or Milwaukee don't have these on the market. I have figured out the mystery. These things are freakin' dangerous! There is zero safety of any sort other than your brain. Yeah, sure, a couple come with "safety features" but given the quality of the thing I doubt these are for anything but show. The blade likes to jump around on smaller stuff, need to keep your fingers away from the cuts. But like any tool it's usually up to the user to be safe so I don't let the lack of safety be an issue. The manufacturers have no concerns at all...they are in China and I can imagine the factories change names daily.
