Bunking school, riding motorbikes, smoking at young age, joining sm (starter of the legendary Saturday audition), leaving sm bcz he didn't like their music, leesooman personally pampering and bringing him back, first kpop guy to cross dress and having color lenses, supporting gays openly(he has done all this in a very orthodox Korean society back then early 2000s), debuting with superjunior,biggest pc games addict, meeting a life threatening accident almost losing his life, became class 4 disable, slowing changing his personality and perspective with all these experiences, did wotever he want and been completely honest with his fans (saying he is dating and dnt fantasize him: first korean celeb to do so and he lost half of his fans bcz of his honesty). and many more.he is now one of the ubiquitous celebrity in Korean industry. Loved by all.He did all this but never had any scandal bcz he is Kim legendary heechul( a man who lived his life thru honesty, loyalty and being straightforward af)

Nah, pretty sure he's an extroverted guy, it's just that he's dealing with heechul, we all know that hechull was known as really cold guy, and at the time the sj members told him about not getting close to heechul territory and that's obviously making him more anxious 😂..

I love how his mom is all like, “Yep, my son was crazy scary back then, you’re right.” His mom is adorable.

HeeChul aged gracefully. He changed for betterment. He does not deny his past and that makes him more adorable. It’s hard to change your habits but in his case he learned to mature nicely 💞

One of the reason is he met many good person that accept his amazing personality and never leave him behind alone... IMO Super Junior member have contributed greatly to his character, they never hate him and never let heenim out from the group... their family bonding is in another level...

The level of selfishness heechul was back then were legendary. I think his turning point is when the accident happen, he start showing his caring side more towards the members. I always like heechul personality because of how crazy and honest he is. Although he lost a lot of fan back then because of his actions, his change and honesty help him to become one of most popular tv personality today.

I don't think it's right to outrightly define the past him as scary, careless and rude. I think that was just an image he was wearing, the tsundere image, just a mask. In order to mind his own business alone and not let others interfere in that introverted circle. Cuz if it wasn't a mask and if he was an actual scary trashy person , lol they would have kicked out of the company already. Everybody should have well known that he has a kind-heart and warmth inside but just behaving tsundere. Otherwise nobody would be with such a real problematic person. So it means that he was just secluded and behaved scary. But not a bad guy himself.

I mean broadcast crews are really picky with whom they would want to work with but as far as i know, even before his "turning point" he's still booked and busy. People likes to work with him cause he's a diligent and hard working person. He might have some bad hair days but that's just him being him.

The changes also started after hangeng left and that was his closest friend in SJ at the time. He learnt to appreciate his members more as a result. Then he went to serve his stint in the military as well... And that is bound to help you change, right?

most trainee are scared of him even his member. he became mellow when he went to army thou he has a tough exterior he was well loved bcos he is one of a kind. he promoted sj while doin variety even his hoobae he promoted them well til now he is doing that.

Just the thought of Heechul being almost 40 is so strange to me.

He's scary , complicated , sometimes rude , rollercoaster moody , but he's still our lovely guy. The most kind-hearted person , the best person we've ever known.

Honestly back then Heechul didn't care about anyone except himself, Kibum and Hangeng. He has one of the best character development of all time

@@merrysallysmas kibum was the person who visit him the most when he was hospitalized and they live in the same place just as hangeng they live together ang he always cook for heechul. he has a soft spot for foreigner working in their industry he also befriended other chinese artist bcos he know how badly some of them were treated. they have those awful law for foreign artist back then hangeng have to wear a mask and wasnt allowed much to join variety show unlike now.

The original (first) SM trainee in TVXQ/SJ era back then are Heechul, Yunho, Donghae. They all get along. Then Kibum joined them as maknae who is still in high school. Then Hangeng joined them as the first and only one foreign trainee. I think that's why Heechul was being kind to them.

Minho's smile looks so beautiful.

What 40? heechul doesn't age at all, he looks exactly the same as when he's debut.

Heechul never "wear a mask". He just being himself, and SM had some warning for him hundreds time but then they gave up. Heechul actually tried to leave SuJu and SM for couple times. He admitted all those facts. He's a cutie , kind-hearted, and lovely person. He isn't kind of person who "wear a mask" just for entertaining.
