When I took Russian in college, we had a Brazilian woman in the class. She explained that Portuguese sounds like Spanish with a Russian accent. Hope that helps clear things up.

I write this from Juneau Alaska Gulag #13. It is now 8 years since my incarceration in this rainy hell. Hehe, the comments on the driving reminds me of a friend in College long ago. He'd been in tanks in the late 80's, Germany. They were doing a movement somewhere to other, Tanker tanking along. 80's Volvo station wagon (if you remember the big heavy ones), T-boned his tank. 90 degrees into the side. They did not notice. Then it got worse. Volvo hung up in tracks. And started up the Volvo blender as it went upside down and then right side up about 3 revolutions before the tank behind them radio''d them to stop. "You got a Volvo in your treads, hold up!"

I agree on the horse thing, anything with an engine I'm perfectly happy to be responsible for, but once you throw in the horse brain that's attached to over a half a tonne of meat. Things get sketchy, real quick because its capable of making decisions and now you're just along for the ride.

I find the concept of Jingles not even having a drivers license fascinating. I live in the Yukon Territory - that Canadian slab of land east of Alaska - and I own (and am licensed to drive) a pickup truck, a 'deck van' (motorhome converted to a cab and a deck behind it), a 4 door Jeep, a highway motorcycle (86 Kawasaki Concours specifically), two snowmobiles, and a 12' lake boat. The concept of not having a license, never mind not having personal transportation, utterly foreign to me.

This just popped up again on my feed. Quite poignant now watching good times with the big fella....

Hi Jingles knowing what has happened with Eddie the totally Incompetent Cameraman is sooooooooo missed as he was a real softy and genuine man. It was so good that he had you and Rita in his life as I feel you are genuine people who loved him just as he was. One day maybe we will meet him in heaven and thank him for being Eddie the (Just Eddie)

I've never ridden a horse or a motorbike, but I have rode on the back of a camel in Israel. And somewhere I still have my official camel riding license from that trip.

It’s great to see another video with the whole band together. It’s obvious that there is great chemistry between them. They are comfortable around each other and just enjoy each other’s company. I have to say that - even as a confirmed introvert - living alone can be rough. Having someone around, even if you are in different parts of the house, is comforting.

I'm really happy that Rita and Jingles are roommates (Yes I'm American) again. They have a genuine friendship and they're always hilarious together in videos. I'm glad that neither of you have to feel lonely living by yourself. I'll also be subscribing to Eddie's new channel whenever it goes live.

It's always amusing to hear Brits discuss driving (or the lack thereof) as an American. Driving is pretty much a necessity here, simply because of the vast distances one must travel to do the most mundane things, so those of at least my (and somewhat Jingle's although he's five years younger than I) generation spent the first 16 years of their lives eagerly anticipating the moment they could go apply for their licenses to drive. And then wait another couple years while you flipped burgers long enough to earn enough cash to buy your first crappy used car. 🙂 I was of course driving long before I entered the military, where we swapped cars around like trading cards (the nearest town was 40 miles from our base, a not unusual circumstance) and have probably owned 12 - 15 autos over my life to this point. The wife and I just completed the task of dropping off her mother in Colorado, which was about 900 miles away... each way. This encompassed 4 driving days, picking her up to visit for a week, then bringing her back home. This is not remotely unusual, most of our relatives can be reached in a single day's driving time. But they are all a *full day* away. Even with today's gas prices, which of course pale in comparison to Europe and the UK, it's still cheaper - barely - than flying... so yeah. Driving. It's a thing.

he should call the channel: The eddie, the minion, the voice... just kidding! i like to listen some audio books from the internet, but sometimes i feel like they don't put enough ambient so it doesn't feel like so deep inside the story... and Rita being Rita, it never gets old haha!

That reminds me of another "can I have a go on that" story. A moped up in the top field of a small town in Nottinghamshire. Flying round as we did, young lad asks can I have a go. I said yes, as the thing was crap anyway. That twist thing makes it go, that lever pulled back makes it slow down. It became clear he hadn't listened to part 2 when he went through the hedge into the next field and disappeared from sight. We got it back after a while, Kid and bike basically unharmed. :)

Heh, never knew Rita's only about a year older than me, thought she was a couple years younger actually. Ah well, at least I've seen the original Jurrassic Park movies before I was 10., on VHS for the true 90's experience for the first two and JP3 in the cinema! But I can't say I blame Rita, dinosaurs where mainly a boys thing. I think only about 3 girls from my time in elementary that were just as into dinosaurs as almost all the boys were. Damn I miss the days where people understood girls and boys are into different kinds of things by nature, however I'm very happy that these days people are mostly over the idiotic notion that things can be only for boys and only for girls which is strictly nurture.
