Ming Kaiyuan Fiberglass by Alibow - Review
Finally, the Kaiyuan Fibreglass in the test.
Good bow for the price, surprisingly not really a hand shock!
Draws smooth up to 32”

You really need Alibow to give you some shares😅, you're probably responsible for 70 %of their business 😃😃 nice review, thx again!

Haha you are right :D they should...
I have one of these bows, it's quite tough and one of my favorites because its so small. If I miss a target and the arrow goes into the woods I use the hooks in the siahs to catch the arrow and drag it back from the bushes. I cut out a hole at the bottom of a small cross-body bag so i can holster it on my back while i ride a mountain bike. Whenever i take new friends to the archery range i always let them borrow this bow, its quite easy for beginners, im not worried if they break it because it was only 100 dollars, and they always leave impressed that they got to shoot an "authentic" looking bow LOL Once it got stuck in the spokes of my bike wheel and made me crash, now theres a dent in the siah next to the alibow signature but the bow didn't twist at all
Another great video, very enjoyable to watch. Thank you Master Armin.
Thank you again Mr. Armin for this review. As always a truly great review on a great little bow. Happy 2022 new year to you!
Looks like a bargain beginner model. Another great review thanks Armi.
Great Review for $100.00 Bow Thanks Armin and Big Thanks Christian for allowing Armin to make the Video Review. Have fun with your new Bow!
Mine just arrived today and I am already in love! I am so excited to make the switch to thumb draw!
Lovely review. Such a quiet bow, unbeatable price!
A very well made bow for a very very nice price, also good to see another fibreglass bow that can handle 32" draw for all the tall people
For $100 you don't get any better than that. Great review
Very Nice and precise review.. 140-145 fps is pretty good for an efg Bow.. and Alibow has done this Bow nicely. Shape comes out on draw is really good and finishing seems to be neat. :)
Excellent video Armin. That bow sure has a LOT of bend in the limbs when drawn to 32”. Still very nice bow. Thank you.
Good work scaring that poor kitty Armin. Haha. Another fun video, I may get one of those bows myself. For my size and what I do, I think it would fit me well. I really like my Tartar from Alibow. Sidenote: I was really impressed with Alibow's arrows. I ordered six when I got my tartar and they match really well.

Great. Thanks for the info
Awesome review. I will prob get one of these for practice. I shoot my grozer all the time, in rainy weather allot, and I think it's messing up the finish a bit
I see twisting has become a standard part in these reviews now 😁
Seem like a pretty nice bow for the price thank you for sharing.
Der Moment wo man die Kartonschachtel in die Hand nimmt... und der Blick, unbezahlbar :)
Das mit dem Sehnenwachs auf die Schraubspitze geben muss ich aus probieren. Danke für den Tipp.
I use this guy's baking soda. Top of the line.
Very nice review
From their fiberglass bows, it seems like you liked the Mongol "Yuan" bow the best if I'm not mistaken. Great video :D
I have a Alibow fiberglass tatar that resents arrived 30 # for thumb draw. first order one of # 50 but can't use to start practice. To heavy for me. But if I realized that tatar design makes them fast bows.
That looks great.
I love your videos :)
My Ming Kaiyuan and some arrows come today. Hoping the postal service delivers it early, bc I can not wait to shoot this bow and throw some clips on social. It's a pretty bow with those curves.

Armin, I’m having trouble choosing a bow. Qinghai or Kaiyuan?
Another great review, thanks Armin. I notice you often mention making sure to order arrows that fit the bow and was wondering how you do that through Alibow. Is it best to specify a number of arrows in the comments when ordering the bow, or send them a separate email, or perhaps when ordering the arrows, ask for them to be made to fit a particular bow?

Hello what would you recommend as a good practice bow for intermediate archers?
Hello Armin, loving your reviews. Very informative! this seems like a great beginner bow for shooting traditional recurves. I had a question about poundage though: So say when I ordered the bow I wanted it to be 35lbs. Seems like a good initial draw weight right? but if I want to increase the poundage in the future would I just have to get a new string, or replace the entire bow? I know it's a "stupid" question, but I'm ignorant about how composites work. the bow I have can have it's limbs unscrewed and replaced with higher poundages. Thanks, Jack
@ArminHirmer
4 жыл бұрын
Hi if you later want to change the draw weight, you need to get a new bow. The string has no affect in the poundage. But it is always good to have one in lower poundage for practice

@@ArminHirmer So I've decided to buy a fiberglass bow from alibow to start with! I know you've said you like the Tatar and advanced Mongol Yuan the most, but which do you think is better for a beginner with thumb draw?

@@daboops1897 Tatar does a good job, was always my favourite until the yuan came out. wrpatting add simply weight to the limbs, but the Chinese think it looks nice :)
If you had to choose one or the other as a beginning asiatic recurve bow do you like this bow or the Genghis Khan by Alibow better?

Any risks to shooting carbon arrows off the hand? I'm just thinking a damaged carbon could leave some nasty splinters.

This bow just snapped in half at the handle on me after a little more than 2 years of light use

The wood under the handle wrap isn't treated with anything, it is bare no finish, moisture must have seeped in.
Planning of getting my first bow from Ali bow based mainly from watching your videos for 8 hours. Wanting to keep it low cost for the first one, which would you recommend of the three: Tibetan qinghai $80 Turkish bow $70 Tatar bow $75 0 archery experience other than a couple of hours playing around at a range with a compound 10 years ago.

@@ArminHirmer suggestion on draw weight and arrow weights to go with? Is there a huge difference between say 35lbs and 50lbs? Draw difficulty and arrow speed, since heavier arrows at heavier draw weight I guess would equalize the speed a bit.

@@pandabanana2593 yes there is. beginner should use 30-35# max. don't overdo it :) 10gpp will be fine, arrows with 350 to 400grn. voucher code Armin10 still valid ;)

Armin Hirmer okay. Ur the boss when it comes to archery. I herd on some channels it’s 100 percent okay. But they do not even come close to the Knowledge that you have regarding bows I am a avid bow hunter in America. That’s how I get my food Im going to start doing videos on hunting but I’m going to send most of the people to ur channel regarding archery if that’s okay. See most people around me are like heyyy survivors Arsenal u know so much about archery and I’m like yoooo I don’t know crap compared to this guy and then I show them your faq videos lol. I can literally watch all those videos 3 times in a row on a Saturday and Sunday and still learn something new. I have the upmost respect for you.

@@AllofArchery When you heard that leaving a fiberglass bow strung would not damage the bow, they were probably referring to a western Olympic recurve. The whole limb is made of one piece of flexible fiberglass and is very resilient to the tension of the bowstring, not deforming over time. However, these asiatic recurves have wood siyahs joined to the fiberglass limbs. If this joint were left under tension constantly for long periods of time it could be harmful.
