Minelab X-terra Elite Expedition Pack Metal Detector Open Box , Set Up , First Park Hunt & Results
First half is opening box / putting it together, 2nd half is some footage from the first hunt with it.
I was using the v12 coil, on Park 1 , 15 sensitivity , 15 kHz, 25 volume. I am still learning so yeah... Any suggestions of what I should be running it at / what mode etc. I didnt ground balance , should I have? too many options on this machine? LOL ... whatever the case I am figuring it out and it was pretty good straight out of the box and I am guessing it can only get better with some learning and adjustments.

I love mine. I always use the headphones. You can here those deep targets. Plus, I like to be quiet and not bring attention to myself.

The shovel , pouch and gloves were included free with purchase from serious detecting and they were not part of the expedition package just so everyone knows. Yeah the shovel probably wont work for tough grass or dirt but it does feel pretty strong for being plastic and can definitely be used on the beach or for gardening. Im not gonna try it for detecting but will keep it.
Nice new detector, the color is sweet.

its 18 dollars and a silver spinner ring off now as I have just returned from hunt number 2 with it. the 900 has good resale value on ebay. I was going to get one until I saw this. The cheapest 900 I could find was like 850-900 used so when I saw this I was like done deal. I dont know how it compares tho.

Why sell the 900? The 900 is still better than this machine. More search modes with the 900

The Xterra will find more because it has better separation than the Vanquish series. The Vanquish is good in clean ground, but will miss some high conductors if they are commingled with foil or lower conductive coins.
Less trash then usual works great so far. Is it lighter to hold?

It feels a little heavier than the vanquish 440 but that is probably bc of the bigger coil. I usually use v10 coil on vanquish, this one was a v12. I will put the small v8 coil on at some point and see how it feels.
