I like your videos Arron , but I really don't care about comparing detectors I care about watching performance videos and seeing how well they do In the field and being tested just bought a 440. Can't wait to find everything around a covered wagon I found two years ago . Cans were dated 1912, tons of stuff eating forks and spoons. glasses, hair clips 100s of nails all kinds, shell casings, stove from Kansas city under the first few inches. The 440 should really help real soon....

First time out with the 540 8" coil amongst other good targets I found a very thin gold plated ring that came in on stable 16 on heavily searched area ,quite impressive .Thanks for the video.

Officially christened the machine now, good hunt. Interesting to see what comes up after the storms this weekend

Arron, I had the same problem with the EP650 headphone, lag when you connect the headphone directly to the 540. So what I did was I bought a small Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter for about € 12,- and that worked great, no more lag.

To take a new detector out on its first real hunt and find gold is amazing , I would have chosen the simplex over the vanquish but todays video changed my mind seeing it hit the small targets that deep it must be the multi frequency

A lot less noise then the Simplex, the Vanquish, Rocks in the wet salt sand!

Please please do a vs video! My request is you pick a small patch of beach and detect it with the Vanquish. Then go over that same patch with Simplex and see if it finds anything extra. Then find another similar patch of beach and do it in reverse. Simplex then Vanquish after. Very, very interested in how they do against each other that way. Thanks for doing all your videos!

For sure on a comparison vid. I have a Nox 800 but can't decide on a secondary detector for backup or a guest detector. It will be the Simplex or the 540.

Very nice showing of the 540 in fact I think the reason I bought one was from your prior video & to tell you the truth I was on the fence with it trying to talk myself out of getting one but I thought why not give it a shot, no beaches close here but I will see what it does in the field, what I was thinking of doing is just finding targets with the 540 marking the targets and writing down the numbers, doing that for a couple hours then take the simplex over each un-dug target and see if it can hit the same target if it does then switch the process using simplex first then 540 in my opinion with out having done any tests due to weather, I think they will both pick up each others targets, we won't know until we just try them and experiment, if the simplex can pick up all the 540 targets, then just from a price point comparison, the 540 cost in the states 370 usd the simplex 325 usd I have to say the simplex has more features than the 540. What I really like about the 540 is, well the audio and being able to change out the batteries at will. Love the videos sorry a bit late to the party

It's not just Aptx headphones you need..... You need Aptx "Low Latency" headphones. It is the "Low Latency" part that makes them fast. Just regular Aptx headphones will still have a decently large delay. I do not have a vanquish but I have some Aptx Low Latency earbuds that I use with a standard Bluetooth Aptx LL transmitter. They are made by Avantree. I can't speak to how long they will last but I like them so far. And the price is pretty good.

Vanquish Vs simplex = yes please 😊

The Simplex and Vanquish are both great machines for the money. The Simplex will win on the waterproof category and the Vanquish will win on the stability category. As far as depth is concerned, I expect them both to be about the same as long as you are being realistic on your tests. There are a heck of a lot of Simplex "air test" videos out there showing guys waving their coin like a mad man across the coil with the detector chatting like a rabid squirrel. That is not a realistic test. In the real world the coin only passes under the coil ONCE. So waving a coin 20 times under the Simplex coil and announcing "yep, I'd dig that all day long!" is not realistic. They wouldn't dig it because they'd never hear it in the first place due to not being able to distinguish the faint coin whisper from the endless machine chatter. It is easy to "detect" something that you already know is there. It is much harder to detect something when you don't know anything is there or not. A true double blind test is the only way to be fair. But creating a double blind metal detector test is nearly impossible. Hopefully, you will do a test that is indicative of real world results. For the record, I'm a Simplex owner but I was torn on whether to get the Simplex or the Vanquish. I'm sure I would have been happy with either choice.

Headphones have to be APTX LL . Regular APTX will still have the sound lag. It has to state "aptx low latency" together and not aptx and then low latency somewhere else in the description. Headphone makers try to claim low latency because newer bluetooth versions are faster. Been fooled twice by this advertising ploy.

Mine picks up a quater at 3 feet on an air test, these other guy's are using it wrong. Their full of shit!
