My parents both died last November from COVID, I was their only child. I wrote their obituaries, I organized their funerals I spoke at both of them, I comforted my wife and my moms family and my dads family and my own kids and it was hard. "The amount of support ... I can't wrap my head around it." Well... For years you've been promoting cleaning up our rooms. Carrying the heaviest load we can bear. Helping people find purpose in what can seem a very hopeless world. You tell people to learn to live with the world that is and that nobody is perfect but to strive for the best they can manage. You advocate for people to be the kind of person who help their family through their father's funeral. When you point people in the direction of becoming good people don't be surprised when they'll support and defend you. All the best from Australia!

Even at the risk of incredible personal cost. Its the reason people are awe stricken which can be horribly tragic. Jordan lays it out well. They have never seen or received real encouragement... Consequently they can find it difficult to properly encourage their own children, even though that is desperately want they want. (starting to cry myself now). Anyway, the tears come from the real personal encounters for me. Both positive tears and negative tears at the same time for me... How about you, cheeckymunki6?

Mr Peterson gets teary eyed when he speaks of all those people that came to him and told him he was the light in their darkest hours of their life. He was thankful to be able to help but also had to bear the extremely heavy burden of realising that so many, soooo many people were so desperate for any form of encouragement and not getting one bit of it. The fact that realising this was a heavy burden for him, to me, speaks volumes about the gigantic heart this man has for his fellow man (and woman) and of his character. I seriously believe mr Peterson is a very special person in these times and i would not be surprised if he gets public, mainstream recognition for his help and work long after he has passed on. And i think it is barely short of a crime how this man and his family have been treated. It is fortunate for us all that we can see and experience this pearl of a man today. I also sincerely hope he can deal with his demons and wish him all the best for himself and his family.

Which is so ironic. All the people who label him as something malicious and cruel. He is the ONE person who knows what real suffering and it's effects look like. And the one thing they have in common is that they wouldn't stop until they understand something, even if it takes months of study. Peterson studied Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia together with an enormous range of fiction about the human darkness and how ordinary people turn to the dark side. But as far as I know Peterson is also a Christian (so his god tells him to be a good person) and he is definitely trying to be a nice person (maybe he just is). And it's exhausting to cope with the contradiction between studying darkness yet being a nice guy. Especially if you are prone to depression, which is genetic (so there's nothing you can do). Peterson's lectures pushed me to read Jung and helped me to realize that I had to reconcile with my shadow, listen to my dream and to my unconscious and above all, to not be resentful about all the suffering but to be thankful for all the happiness I got in the past. The head of a university should never be able to call off the police without at least getting a court order when crimes are being committed. Hunting people with baseball bats is definately a crime and the university shouldn't have the autonomy to allow anything the head of that institution is willing to allow. What if the hunted people were killef? Is The president of the university responsible also guilty of murder? All in all the police should never be called off without being responsible for what hsppens. Same with mayor's and governors.

Just sent a prayer up for you that you get stronger each day. My grandmother who lost her lifelong sweetheart told me it doesnt get easier. It just gets different. I hope that you have people to talk to.

These two fine men have done a great service to many people through their wisdom and observations. I hope they can rest assured in the knowledge that they continue to positivley influence every day people every day. Life is hard, and it's a bloody struggle but we can all take solace in the fact that we don't need to stuggle alone. God bless you both and thank you so much for the work that you do.

@@wallybingbang7359 Spot on. It's touching to see how deeply affected Jordan is when he talks about meeting people who were in need of encouragement. Sounds like he's having a tough time of it at the moment and I hope he's feeling the love back from all the people he's helped along the way. Nice one, hope you have a lovely day! @@deviklovecraft3835 yes it's interesting how postmodernism never became a big thing in France, it is in many ways contrary to our traditional values. But now it comes back as a boomerang with the woke movement.
